Located in the heart of Beijing Olympic Park, adjacent to the Water Cube and the Bird’s Nest, the China National Convention Center (CNCC) once played a major role when it served as the media center and international broadcast center during the 2008 Beijing Olymipcs.
Today, the CNCC will once again play a major part in history as China hosts this year 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit. Several major meetings of the APEC 2014 Economic Leaders’ week starting on 5-11 November will be conducted here, as well as house the APEC media center.
The CNCC has a total floor place of 530,000sqm, including 270,000sqm allotted for convention and exhibitions. The building façade exemplifies the convergence of tradition and modernity, as it resembles the traditional Chinese quoins with a touch of modern architectural design that embodies the rich history and culture of the Chinese civilization.

OMNIA’s China launch
On 23-24 June 2014 The 4th Asian Fitness Education Expo (AFEEX) was held in the China National Convention Center- the news center of the Beijing Olympic Games. This was the first time OMNIA was shown in China. More than 1000 people have joined this event, and OMNIA caused great interest among all the attending trainers. Henk Jan Thoes, Technogym’s Functional Training Product Manager, introduced this new equipment through the master class of “Group training on Omnia”, answering questions from trainers and guiding them to try OMNIA for themselves.
