China Trip 2019 - VIPKID Teacher - Beijing, Xi'an and Baoji
We enjoyed 12 wonderful days in China seeing Beijing, Xi'an and Baoji. We visited all of China's most famous sites: The Great Wall, The Forbidden City (aka The Palace Museum), The Summer Palace, The Temple of Heaven, and The Terracotta Warriors. We ate all kinds of amazing food, plus some weird food like duck foot webbing and pigs feet. We loved our time in China. To God be the glory for doing the impossible. What is impossible with man is possible with God!

10 Best Places to Visit in China
China, the gateway to East Asia, is a fascinating country. It is an ancient civilization that gave the world Peking Man, gunpowder and noodles. Visitors making their first trip to China usually stick to the larger cities. More experienced visitors to the Middle Kingdom will strike out in other directions, where traveling may be a bit more frustrating because of the language barrier, but most definitely doable for independent travelers. An overview of the best places to visit in China:
10. Kunming
9. Jiuzhaigou
8. Hangzhou
7. Yangshuo
6. Lhasa
5. Xi'an
4. Shanghai
3. Great Wall of China
2. Hong Kong
1. Beijing

Black in Beijing: Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City
Visiting Beijing while black was a fun adventure.
Beijing is a large and beautiful city. On my recent trip with travel blogger Kyle Bernard during the Dragon Boat Festival, I was able to capture some of it’s beauty with my camera.
We ended up flying from Harbin International Airport (HRB) to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) with Shenzhen Airlines which was a 2.5 hour flight.
Kyle Bernard booked our accommodations at a hostel called 365 inn.
We were able to visit iconic places like 3:13 the Great Wall of China (Badaling) , 0:49 Tiananmen Square and 0:56 the Forbidden City.
At the Great Wall of China we decided to take the rollercoaster on our way down 4:39. Next time I visit The Great Wall I hope to take the bobsled down.
I was also able to try a scorpion on a stick at the Wangfujing Snack market

Beijing Walking Food Tour - Eating Yoghurt For The FIRST Time - China Adventure v12
In today's video, we take to the streets on a Walking Food Tour where we try seven things we've never eaten or drunk before. Kaleb gets to try Yoghurt for the first time in his life, which didn't go as well as I'd hoped!
Temple Cheese Yoghurt
The Door Nail Pie
Fried Dumplings
Spicy Cabbage Salad
and more.......
The tour ranged from 4 different locations in Beijing and Xi'an and I have to say that without our guides, I don't think we would have even known that most of the locations were restaurants in the first place.
The people were fantastic, and I eventually got the feeling back in my lips from the Spicy Cabbage Salad.
Thanks for watching, we really do appreciate it.

--Part 1 of my Thailand Series Travel Vlog--
On our way to Thailand, my family and I had an extended layover in Shanghai China. While there we took a little tour around the city and apparently got a lot of attention from the locals. Especially my daughter Wisdom because so many people wanted to take pictures with her. Probably because she is the cutest thing they have ever seen! LOL

China From Above
China is a vast country with a seemingly endless variety of landscapes. From the modern skylines of Shanghai and Hong Kong to the ancient city walls of Xi'an, the former capital of the 'Middle Kingdom'. Imposing rice terraces contrast with stark desert scenery, massive coal factories rub shoulders with newly built cities.
I have been privileged to visit China a number of times in the last decade or so, usually with a photo- and or video camera in hand, trying to capture glimpses of this ever evolving nation. Earlier this year, I took the opportunity to travel across the country for another 3 months, focusing primarily on aerial photography and filming.
This little adventure took me from the Northern 'rust belt provinces' to the beautiful mountain landscapes of national parks like Zhangjiajie (often named as an inspiration for the popular Avatar movie) and Jiuzhaigou. I also visited some cities to gain an aerial perspective of China's urban development, and came across several major infrastructure projects. The rural backwaters in Guangxi province were a personal favorite to explore, with the surreal Dragon's Backbone rice terraces and karst scenery around Guilin.
I edited some of this material into one single clip, trying to show some of the diversity I came across. The drone I traveled around with was the DJI Phantom 4.
You will find footage from the following places in this clip (in no particular order): Zhangjiajie national park, the Yangtze River (Three Gorges), Dunhuang (sand dunes and solar panels), Guazhou (wind turbines), Hebei province (Great Wall of China), Dazhai (Dragon's Backbone rice terraces), Fujian province (Hakka 'tulou' round houses), Pingyao, Changsha (Mao Zedong memorial), Liaoning province (several industrial sites and 'ghost cities'), Guangzhou (Evergrande football stadium), Hong Kong, Shanghai, Jishou (Aizhai bridge), Hainan island, Chongqing, Guilin, Jiuzhaigou national park, Zhengzhou, Linxia (golden domed mosque), Zhangye national park, Macau, Hukou waterfalls, and Shenzhen.
Comments and suggestions are always appreciated, thanks for watching!
