Seh Tek Tong Cheah Kongsi is one of the chinese kongsi(association) building/temple. It have beautiful building design similar in 1900 housing design. it also have beautiful chinese traditional room decoration Art. Really amazing to see this. The art are really nice... will go there again.

Walking Around Johor Bahru
Johor Bahru is the capital of the state of Johor, Malaysia's third largest city and is situated along the Straits of Johor at the southern end of Peninsular Malaysia. However, many of the few tourist attractions are either rundown or closed. The Sultan Abu Bakar State Mosque was closed for restoration when I visited and the Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Palace Museum appears to be indefinitely closed.
The Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum is a small museum that's also a good place to learn about the Chinese in Johor. Nearby is the Johor Bahru Old Chinese Temple (柔佛古廟) known as Old Temple (古廟) by the locals that is one of the oldest structures in Johor Bahru.

Century Old Muar's Creative Art Pops Out All Over Town!
If you ever visited a Chinatown enclave in major cities around the world you would not miss the distinctive mark that the Chinese traders of the last century have left for all to see. Manaweblife was fortunate enough to discover these in Muar recently . Take a look at this video and you will see what it is all about. The trader's Chinatown enclaves are filled with interesting old pillars that are actually shop signages with Chinese characters. Some are done as embossed out to give a unique 3D look and most are mostly painted red .These are the heritage that the early Chinese traders left for us to behold.
Muar was a major railway town that linked Kuala Lumpur and Singapore . Over a century have passed but old colonial and Chinese styled buildings and structures still stand strong like a living museum in Muar.
Recently , some town councils wanted to ban these Chinese signages and use Bahasa Malaysia signages instead. Luckily , this was stopped. Indeed , these signages have been here long before independence and it is a heritage unique to many Chinatowns not just in Malaysia but around the world. If you happen to see any such signages take a closer look, snap a picture or video for keeps.
Manaweblife is glad that these heritage will be preserved as a reminder of our colourful history and add another dimension to our multi-racial identity.

JB's 80 Year Old Salahhudin Bakery Still At It !
Catch A Loaf Of History At JB's Heritage Bakery.
Along JB's Jalan Dhoby there is an air of heritage with rows of colourful colonial shoplots. At No. 26 you will find the 3rd generation Salahhudin Bakery that was started by one Mr. Shamsul way back in 1937. Yes, that's 80 years ago and the bakery's traditional brick-laden, wood-fired oven is still hot in action today. As you walk in there is definitely a whiff of freshly baked bread aroma in the air. You will be welcomed by an interesting old-school reception area featuring a wall filled with an archive of materials about this bakery like a mini museum. This video takes a peek inside and noticed that some regulars can just help themselves with their selections right from the oven's mouth. This is that neighbourly atmosphere and scenario of this heritage bakery. Nowadays, customers include those who were still school kids living nearby and who are now probably settled down somewhere else. It's the nostalgic ambience of the good old days. Even the buns and puffs rekindles memories ! Besides the big soft fluffy white loaf there are plenty of puffs, buns and even cup cakes nowadays. Remember those buns with coconut inside?
