Each year the Christchurch airport hosts two U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemasters while they take food, people and any cargo down to McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Usually, we have an Antarctica Air Day where we are allowed to look around the planes and chat to the crew.

I had the opportunity to take the family on a scenic flight over Christchurch, Lyttelton and Sumner and it was amazing to see Christchurch from above and I actually mean above. I usually use a drone to film these kinds of scences but it was a different feeling actually be up there. My family loved it too. The girls couldn't stop talking about it. NZmustsee
Christchurch is changing everyday after the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes and while it is sad to see it is great to see change.
