Málaga é uma cidade da Andaluzia, na Espanha. Capital da província homônima, localiza-se na costa sul do país, no Mediterrâneo. A cidade originou-se da uma colônia grega na antiguidade clássica. É a quinta cidade do país, com mais de 560 mil habitantes. Foi fundada pelos fenícios no século XII a.C. Foi incorporada na coroa de Castela em 1487.

Málaga is a port city in Andalusia, southern Spain, on the Costa del Sol coast of the Mediterranean. At the 2008 census the population is 566,447.
The population of the metropolitan area (urban area plus satellite towns) is 1.100.082, ranking as the fifth largest metropolitan area in Spain. Málaga is surrounded by mountains, lying in the southern base of the Axarquía hills, and two rivers, the Guadalmedina - the historic center is located on its left bank - and the Guadalhorce, which flows west of the city into the Mediterranean.
The inner city of Málaga is just behind the harbour. The quarters of El Perchel, La Trinidad and Lagunillas surround this centre. The city has much revenue from the agricultural sector and from tourism.
The Holy Week, and the Málaga Fair (Feria de Málaga) are two well-known Málaga festivals. The Malaguenos choose the hottest month of the year, August, to celebrate the Feria de Malaga. The streets are transformed into symbols of Spanish culture and history, with sweet wine, tapas, and live flamenco shows filling the town. The day events consist of live music and dancing, while the night fair is moved to the Recinto Ferial, consisting of restaurants, clubs, and an entire fair ground with rides & games.

Santiago Church
Placed in the street Granada, this church was build on the lot of a former mosque. It is the most ancient church of Malaga. Its foundation dates back of July 25, 1490. Of the original front only there remains, blocked, the central door of Mudejar style. The beautiful tower is also of Mudejar style. The interior of the temple, Gothic - Spanish Muslim living under Christian rule, presents three ships, though in its origins it had only one.
In this church Picasso was baptized in 1881.
It was raised in parish in 1505 and confirmed in 1510 by bulla of the dad Julio II. The original church was clear of three ships with chamfered props that they were supporting pointed arches. The major ship was finished off of polygonal form by external buttresses and covered by armor of bow, today it conceals, being wings of hangingly.

El Castillo fortaleza ha sido el testigo mudo de la historia de Cártama desde sus primeros pobladores, en el siglo décimo.
En su parte más alta se extiende de este a oeste formando una especie de rectángulo, con predominio de torres cuadradas, excepto una que mira al sur de forma semicircular. En el centro destaca el aljibe de planta rectangular, excavado en la roca y estucado, cubierto por una bóveda horadada para el paso del agua de lluvia.
Por sus dimensiones se estima que podría abastecer a unas dos mil personas. Además, se aprecian restos de una plaza de armas, de la alcazaba, y de un doble muro (barbacana).
En cuanto a los materiales empleados están la argamasa y, a veces, hay trozos recubiertos de piedras medianas e irregulares junto a piedras pequeñas dispuestas en hiladas horizontales. En las esquinas de las torres aparecen ladrillos alternados con piedras irregulares.

Castle & Ruins of the outside wall
The castle-fortress has looked on in silence since the time when the earliest settlers came to Cártama in the 10th century.
The highest part of the town stretches from east to west, forming a rectangular location dominated by square towers with one exception of the semi-circular variety that faces south. The highlight of the centre is the rectangular water deposit, excavated from the rock and covered in plaster, crowned by a vault which is perforated to allow rain water to pass through.
Its dimensions suggest that it would once have supplied enough water to sustain two thousand people. Also to be found here are remains of a parade ground of the Moorish fortress or alcazaba and a double wall or barbican.
The material used here is mortar, with some sections being covered with medium-sized stones of irregular shape alongside smaller stones arranged in horizontal rows. The corners of the towers feature a combination of bricks and irregular stones. A workshop has now been set up to restore it.
