An extension of the famous Cinecitta Studios in Rome, Cinecitta World is a theme park that celebrates the world of Italian Cinema with rides and attractions. Designed by 3-time Oscar winning production designer Dante Ferretti, and featuring music from Oscar winning composer Ennio Morricone, Cinecitta World provides the perfect combination of culture and entertainment. By mixing wild rides with historic recreations, the park pays tribute to Italy’s cinematic past, present and future. The park is composed of 8 distinct thematic areas or “sets’ where guests can experience their favorite genres (like sci-fi, fantasy, or the wild west) first hand.
The central area of Cinecitta World is known as Dino De Laurentiis Square, named to honor the renowned Italian film producer. The square is considered “the heart of the park” and serves as a staging area for elaborate outdoor performances. The plaza is also home to The Magic Fountain, an interactive water feature that can dazzle onlookers with a multitude of effects. Open all day, the fountain is a popular children’s play area, occasionally morphing into a labyrinth-like maze by activating patterns in its ChoreoSwitch jets. Once the sun begins to fade, LED lights are activated to ensure that play extends into the evening. The fountain can also be ramped down to provide additional performance space. Shows pay homage to international film classics.

Altair Il 10 INVERSION COASTER rappresenta una delle eccellenze di Cinecittà World: un roller coaster unico nel suo tipo con un inedito tracciato di 10 spirali concatenate per creare la sensazione di “viaggio interastrale”. Il treno viene tirato sulla rampa fino a 33 metri di altezza per poi essere rilasciato e iniziare la vertiginosa discesa, raggiungendo la massima velocità di circa 90 chilometri all’ora...Molto simile a Colossus presente a Thorpe Park.

I Cinecittà Studios, noti semplicemente come Cinecittà, sono un complesso di teatri di posa di eccellenza e rilievo internazionale situato lungo la via Tuscolana a Roma. Cinecittà costituisce il vertice dell'industria cinematografica italiana ma è utilizzata anche per produzioni estere e televisive.
A Cinecittà sono stati girati più di 3000 film, 90 dei quali hanno ricevuto una candidatura all'Oscar, 47 dei quali hanno vinto la prestigiosa statuetta. Celebri registi, nazionali e internazionali, vi hanno lavorato: da Federico Fellini a Francis Ford Coppola, da Luchino Visconti a Martin Scorsese.
Cinecittà è un complesso imponente di edifici e strutture dislocato in un'area di 40 ettari percorsa da ampi viali alberati e in grado di offrire il massimo confort alle troupe che la scelgono come set.
Fiore all'occhiello del complesso sono i 22 teatri di posa di dimensione variabile da un minimo di 15 per 30 metri fino ai 40 per 80 metri del Teatro 5, teatro che per le sue dimensioni rappresenta un primato in Europa.
Fanno parte del complesso anche un backlot di 10 ettari e una piscina all'aperto di 7000 m². Sono inoltre disponibili strutture tecniche di eccellenza per la post produzione cinematografica e televisiva (laboratori di sviluppo, stampa e restauro della pellicola cinematografica, laboratori di post produzione digitale, laboratori di post produzione audio, ecc.) e laboratori per l'allestimento delle strutture sceniche (falegnameria, carpenteria, laboratorio di scultura, laboratorio di pittura artistica, ecc.). Il tutto completato dai servizi più vari: sale per proiezioni cinematografiche e conferenze, servizio di sicurezza per le celebrità, mensa, ristorante, parchi, bar, parcheggi.
La storia di Cinecittà comincia durante il fascismo. Dopo una serie di pregevoli lungometraggi che nei primi due decenni del Novecento avevano fatto conoscere la cinematografia italiana nel mondo.

Il parco: Cinecittà World è un parco a tema italiano, sito a Castel Romano, nato per iniziativa degli imprenditori Luigi Abete, Aurelio De Laurentis e Diego Della Valle. L'elemento tematico e dominante dell'intera struttura è il cinema, con 20 attrazioni e scenografie disegnate da Dante Ferretti oltre a diversi spettacoli in scena nei teatri e per le strade del parco. Il parco divertimenti è stato aperto il 24 luglio 2014 e sorge sui terreni dei vecchi studi cinematografici Dinocittà, realizzati negli anni sessanta da Dino De Laurentiis, di cui sono presenti i teatri di posa e alcuni edifici riconvertiti per ospitare show e attrazioni indoor. Le mascotte del parco sono due, Micro (un microfono) e Zoom (una cinepresa).

See all the rides, attractions and some shows. Onride filming on most rides was not allowed because of movie copyrights. unfortunately the big rollercoaster ALTAIR was broken down and closed :(.... but a good park.
