Yukon Oklahoma Duplex Community for sale
Yukon Oklahoma is a vibrant suburb on the west side of Oklahoma City and it has one of the higher rated schools systems in the area. The neighborhood of Surrey Hills was built around a golf course in the 1960's and since that time the land around has had continuous construction of new homes with prices reaching $400,000 for a single family home. A builder I worked with just found a piece of land in the heart of Surrey Hills where we are going to build 18 duplexes. Why duplexes? Because the land has gotten very expensive and building an affordable single family home is not possible. The land we found is a prime location because if you look out your front yard you can see the clubhouse of the golf course to the north, and to the south you have a highly rated elementary school in walking distance. The planned size is 2610SF total with each side having 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and 2 car garages. They will have 3 CM granite in the kitchen and baths, stainless steel appliances including a gas stove, microwave oven, and dishwasher, and we will include a 6 foot privacy fence, garage door opener, and 2 inch faux wood blinds. The cost? Only $257,000 per duplex, and if you are an investor with property management included and paying for a 20% down loan, you cash flow is at the minimum rent, $970 a month. This is a great deal either for someone looking for a home at $128,500 in a great neighborhood, or an investor looking for high positive cash flow. Construction begins November 15th. Family Says Grandmother Was Neglected At Yukon, Oklahoma, Nursing Facility
An Oklahoma family says they chose to bring the 94-year-old woman to the Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon because they felt it was a safe place for her. Now, they say they were wrong about that.
Helen LaRue eyes are bruised and swollen shut. Her hand is broken. Her family also says she may lose her eye.
We're not sure whether she fell out of bed or if she was trying to get out of her bed into her wheelchair and the wheels weren't locked in the wheelchair and it rolled out from under her but she did quite a bit of damage to her head and her face,” said her grandson, Jason Guy.
Guy says his family has been trying to get Ranchwood to put safeguards in place, like rails for his grandmother's bed, after Mrs. LaRue fell a few other times. But Guy says the facility refused.

Yukon, Oklahoma
Yukon is a city in Canadian County, Oklahoma, United States. It is part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. The population was 22,709 at the 2010 census. Founded in the 1890s, the town was named in reference to a gold rush in Yukon Territory, Canada, at the time. Historically, Yukon served as an urban center for area farmers and the site of a large milling operation. It is now considered primarily a bedroom community for people who work in Oklahoma City.
Yukon was founded by A.N. Spencer in 1891, and was named for the Yukon River which flows from British Columbia, across the Yukon, and into Alaska.
Spencer, a cattleman from Texas turned railroad builder, was working on a line from El Reno to Arkansas when he decided to build the town. Spencer filed the plat on the townsite on February 14, 1891. He had agreed to do so and lay the train tracks through the town in exchange for half of the lots, which were owned by Minnie Taylor and Luther S. Morrison. Taylor and Morrison had acquired the land in the 1889 land run. Spencer also bought two quarter sections south of Main Street from Joseph Carson and his sister, Josephine. Spencer and his brother, Lewis, named the town after the Yukon Territory of Canada, where a gold rush was booming at the time.
The first houses and businesses were located on the north side of Spencer Avenue (now Main Street) and present Fourth and Fifth streets. The Canadian County Courier reported on April 1, 1891, that the city had 25 homes, one bank, two real estate offices, two restaurants, a lumber yard, a hardware store, a grocery, a livery stable, two saloons, a blacksmith shop, a printing office, a barber shop, and a second barber shop about completed.
The Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railway Company laid its track, causing the abandonment of Frisco, which had a population of 1,000 at the time. Beginning in about 1898, Yukon began...

More information about the video content bellow:
1. Yukon is the smallest and westernmost of Canada's three federal territories (the other two are the Northwest Territories and Nunavut). The territory has the smallest population of any province or territory in Canada, with 35,874 people. Though officially bilingual (English and French), the Yukon Government also recognizes First Nations languages.
2. The territory was split from the Northwest Territories in 1898 and was named the Yukon Territory. By the 1870s and 1880s gold miners began to arrive. This drove a population increase that justified the establishment of a police force, just in time for the start of the Klondike Gold Rush in 1897. The increased population coming with the gold rush led to the separation of the Yukon district from the Northwest Territories and the formation of the separate Yukon Territory in 1898.
3. To date, the Yukon Territory is the only province of Canada to have its capitol city changed. Dawson City was the capitol until 1953 until it was moved to the larger more prosperous city of Whitehorse. Whitehorse receives snow year round, in the summer months it may be very little, just flurries, but in the end every month of the year has registered for snowfall. Whitehorse is the territorial capital and Yukon's only city.
4. The Yukon Territory today has roughly the exact same population as it did in the year 1900. (33,897 in 2015 – 31,055 in 1900). This makes the Yukon Canada’s slowest growing province by a huge margin. Whitehorse has been growing at a decent pace but the issue is the rural surrounding areas have been dwindling in numbers.
5. Mt Logan located in the south western part of the territory is Canada’s largest mountain with its peak just under 20,000 feet!
6. Dawson City was nothing more than a tent city prior to 1896. Then gold was found nearby and overnight the city exploded from 200 to 40,000 people. This is one of North Americas biggest gains in population in the shortest time. Dawson was paved with gold for 3 years, the city became super rich with imports from France and Italy in clothing stores and any food you could name shipped all the way to the northern city. The gold however dried up in 1899 and suddenly people were leaving in droves, by 1910 Dawson was down to 25,000, 1930 was under 10,000 and today the city sits under 4,000 residents.
7. The Yukon Quest is a 1,000 mile sled dog race that begins in Whitehorse and ends in Fairbanks, Alaska. The event takes place every winter in February and typically runs from 10-16 days, until the last team crosses the line.
