The City2Surf Running Race. Footage taken during the 2011 race.
This is a massive race in from the centre of Sydney (Australia) to Bondi Beach. It is 14 kms in length.

The Sun-Herald City2Surf presented by Westpac is 14km in distance starting from the intersection of Park and College Sts in Sydney's CBD before heading up William St and through the tunnel at Kings Cross. The course continues along New South Head Rd through Rose Bay, then up Heartbreak Hill (the halfway point) and also the toughest part of the course.
The course then turns the corner at Dover Heights into Old South Head Rd, left into Military Rd and then down the hill to the finish at Australia's most famous and spectacular Bondi Beach.
The City2Surf finish line is located on Queen Elizabeth Dr at the southern end of Bondi Pavilion.
Since 1971 Sydneysiders have been joined by participants from all over the world, elite athletes rubbing shoulders with locals to run, walk or watch the 14km race from Hyde Park in Sydney's CBD to the finish at Bondi Beach.
The City2Surf is largest timed running race in the world, as the event attracts more than 80,000 entrants who start in staggered groups based on previous running times and early entry. This year's race will be held on Sunday 12 August 2012.

A big thanks to the Rotary Club Bondi Junction for providing an access all areas pass to Fitbudds Productions to shoot the incredible Sun-Herald City2Surf.
Being one man band with a single camera proved challenging trying to capture as much of this epic 14km race which kicked off in the Sydney CBD finishing off in the iconic Bondi Beach.

- Ben Moreau first place time 41:47, second place Liam Adams time 42:03, third Steve Kelly at 42:49.

The City2Surf Race in Sydney Australia is the largest timed running race in the world, with over 80,000 entrants running each year. This guy was amongst the Back of the Pack race entrants.
It's amazing what you see on the run.

City2Surf 2018 Race Day - Sydney city to bondi beach. Experience the 14k run with me! This is it! Finally race day for the city2surf has arrived, and after 5 weeks of running training I'm ready to give it my best shot! I'm aiming for sub 90 minutes over the 14k route. Can I do it? Especially while trying to vlog and record all the way? I set out with my camera, my tripod and my runners spirit to find out. Come join me as we run through the 14k over the city, up and over heartbreak hill and finally to bondi beach! Can we finish, run all the way and achieve the time goal? Enjoy!

The event is a fun run as well as a race, attracting both competitive runners and community participants who can choose to run or to walk. In this video I ride from the Sydney CBD to Australia's most famous beach - Bondi. The route I take is the course for the City to Surf fun run, so if you've never run the City to Surf before and want to check out the course, here it is!
