EVERYTHING TO SEE in Agra BEYOND the Taj Mahal | Agra, India
During my second day in Agra we headed out to see everything beyond the Taj Mahal. From the Baby Taj to Agra Fort, there is so much more to see in Agra!
TRAVEL HUSTLE REPEAT GEAR ►
MY FILM MAKING KIT ►
Our first stop of the day was the Baby Taj also known as the Tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah. The tomb of I'timād-ud-Daulah is often regarded as a draft of the Tāj Mahal. It is a beautiful building and place most people skip when visiting Agra.
Next we headed to the Mehtab Bagh which is also known as the royal gardens. From here you get some of the best views of the Taj Mahal. Sunrise and sunset are the best times to visit the gardens.
The last site on our tour was Agra Fort, it was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty till 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The Agra fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Agra Fort is a wall city with many palaces within it.
To end our tour we headed to The Master Chef restaurant to try some Petha. This sweet is famous in Agra. It's a translucent soft candy. usually rectangular or cylindrical, it is made from the ash gourd vegetable. It's extremely hard and sweet!
This is really everything you must see beyond the Taj Mahal. Most people only visit Agra for a day but I recommend you spend two nights to be able to see all the main sites and the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal (Finally I Am Here!) | Agra, India | 18D17 Day 3E | India Travel Vlog
You are watching one of my India Travel Videos and today I will be taking you to the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.
Taj Mahal is widely considered is one of the best creations of mankind. An iconic symbol of eternal love, Taj Mahal is an immense mausoleum of white marble, a grandeur of architectural splendor.
Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan between 1631 and 1648 in memory of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Emperor Shah Jahan, one of the world’s most powerful king of the kings that time, was helpless and powerless to prevent his wife from dying while giving birth, and promised the empress at her deathbed that he would build her the most beautiful tomb of mankind. That’s the beginning of the Taj Mahal.
Nearly 20,000 architectures & specialists and 1,000 elephants took almost 20 years to build Taj Mahal. Some of the materials used are translucent white marble, jasper, jade, crystal, turquoise, Lapis lazuli, sapphire, carnelian. In total about 28 different types of precious and semi-precious stones were blend into the white marble.
The Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of being the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the most universally recognised and admired masterpieces of the world's heritage
Location: Agra, India.

MATHURA Street Food Tour - सरसों तेल की कचोड़ी | खस्ता बेड़मी पूरी | Peda Factory Visit
Welcome to the sacred land of Mathura. Believed to be the Birthplace of the Hindu God Krishna, Mathura has a lot to offer when it comes to food.
We started our journey the classic U.P. style with Hing ki Kachori and Jalebi at Oma Pehalwan Kachori Waale. The kachori is stuffed with moong dal and some spices and fried crisp. It is then topped off with aloo jhol, a special potato sabji that is flavoured with not onions, not garlic, not even tomatoes, but with ginger and green chillies. The flavour of the kachori and sabji are very unique. The jalebis they serve are fried in desi ghee, so obviously, nothing can go wrong. Weirdly enough the locals like to eat the super sweet jalebi with the spicy aloo jhol. The flavour combination may seem a little out there, but it goes very well together.
We then visited Kali Charan Chache Kachori Wale for another type of Kachori and sabji combo. The kachori here is fried in Mustard Oil which is unlike any Kachori we have ever tried. It super crisp and the perfect vessel for the aloo jhol that they serve along with it.
Moving on to sweeter pastures, we landed at Gusai Pere Wala. Now there are two shops by the same name here, but one opened in 1832 and the other in 1820, and both of them distinct in their own way. The famous peda in both shops are quite similar in flavour. At Gusai Pere Wala (1832) you can have the good fortune of trying butter toast or chhena toast, this ultra sweet mithai is sure to wake up all your senses. Gusai Pere Wala (1820) also serves an interesting mixture of chidwa or puffed rice, that is roasted with a lot of spices and has unique flavour to it.
Our next stop was Chehlo Pethe Wala, that serves some amazing Khasta Bedai. They fry the Bedai for so long that it is almost red in colour. It is topped off with aloo jhol and some pumpkin or kaanchiphal ki sabji.
After the super crispy meal we headed to Shankar Mithai Wala for their Puri Thali. The thali consists of 4 puris, aloo sabji, kaanchiphal and some mango pickle. This goes best with a glass of lassi served in the classic kulhad to enhance the flavours.
We then tried Magode or Pakode as we know it at Babulal Sharma Magode Wala. They serve cauliflower, potato and moong daal magode, which are fried to crisp perfection and topped with some green and red chutney. At Shree Yamuna Chaat Bhandar, one can try some Aloo Bhalla or Tikki, that is topped with some chickpea curry and chutneys. You can also try the Tikiya or golgappe made of sooji, maida or atta. This is a must try, the flavours of the tikiya and the stuffing in it is mind blowing.
Next, we went to Brijwasi sweets for some Peda, Rabri and Khurchan. Khurchan is basically condensed milk which forms a layer at the bottom of the pan and is scraped off. The Rabri was thick, creamy and full of the flavour of Pista. The Peda was much dense and rolled in Powdered sugar. We had the opportunity to visit the Brijwasi Sweets’ factory where the cooks tirelessly make pedas one after the other. The process is lengthy and quite time and labour consuming, but the result is worth the effort. At last we ended the journey with a hefty dose of Rasgulla paan at Kaku Paan Palace.

Golden Triangle heritage circuit tour details :
The Delhi-Agra-Jaipur circuit, popularly known as the Golden Triangle, probably attracts more tourists than the rest of India put together. The breathtaking beauty of the Taj, the Rajput splendor of the Pink City, and the strange amalgamation of the ancient and modern that go to make India's capital city create a heady magic mix potent enough to satisfy the casual visitor, seductive enough to lure the serious traveler further in. Here's a couple of quick 4 and 5 day itineraries- the minimum time required to see these cities. You could either extend your stay in any city or add on other packages like a wildlife sanctuary visit or a camel safari.
The Golden Triangle tour takes you on a road trip through three of India's most iconic and historically significant cities. The complete circuit covers approximately 800 kilometres and gives you a chance to really sink your teeth into the Indian experience. Here we have a little information on each of these cities and some of the places to visit on this classic introduction to India.
Chandni Chowk
Now here's a market that's more, shall we say, intense. This is an authentic Indian bazaar, Delhi's oldest and busiest, and is located in the old part of the city.
India Travel Video Including Kerala, Kochi, Munnar, Goa, Mumbai, Agra, Taj Mahal and New Delhi
We traveled through India, landing in Kerala at Kochi and then made our way to the Kerala Backwaters, then to Munnar. After a few days in The Hill Station of Munnar, we journeyed via train to South Goa.
While in Goa we visited Agonda and Arambol.
Continuing onward, we journeyed to Mumbai and spent a couple of days in the city.
Agra was next on our list, followed by New Delhi.
It was quite an adventure. We took with us our two year old daughter who seemed to really enjoy it. We had no issues with her being sick or falling ill. In fact, she did very good on our travel and it goes to show that traveling with a child is indeed possible and is quite enjoyable.
Personally, I really loved India. Going there was a long-time dream come true. One day I hope to return to Northern India.
Thank you for watching!
