Sunstroke on the most breathtaking trail through Swiss Alps |Day 9 Tour du Mont Blanc Switzerland
In today's episode of Tour du Mont Blanc we crossed the Swiss Alps from Aosta Valley in Italy to the village La Fouly in Switzerland.
It was a first bright sunny morning after a long time. We left the camping at 9am to catch the bus that took us to Chalet Val Ferret Arnouva Desot. This way we could start the trail and climbing the mountain right away and didn't have to walk another extra kms along the car road. Waiting at the bus stop we gazed up and finally saw the Mont Blanc in all its majesty - there was no single cloud around it. It happens so rarely and we witnessed it for the second time starting from Chamonix. The view was breathtaking. After 15 min of a bus ride we were at the place to start the hike. Right from the beginning the path went quite a steep uphill. After 5 minutes of climbing the big beautiful waterfall opened to our eyes. It was sparkly shiny in the magical morning backlight...

We are a couple who once fell in love with mountains and couldn't get back. So we decided to follow our heart and move from a big city to a small village to be able to do what we love and to create this content. Our goal is to promote the healthy lifestyle, to motivate people to travel more and care for nature around. We are passionate walkers who love hiking, trekking and camping. We offer the detailed information of our hikes and routes, including the map and all the directions, so that you can repeat it if you'd like to.
We choose walking over driving and other types of transportation whenever we can because we learnt that this way we see so much more and can explore and feel the place better. Walking is an excellent activity that has so many benefits to your health and requires no special equipment or practice, so we encourage you to get the most out of it and get out walking.

Vlog 006: It's been snowing + Jake removes clothes up the mountain.
On the weekend we hiked and scrambled up to Aiguillette des Houches (2285m) in the French Alps before hiking/jogging/bum sledging back down. A great day out in beautiful weather above the cloud inversion in the Chamonix valley.

In this video we are in France! Doing some skiing around the Chamonix valley. Unfortunately the weather was very bad so we didn't get to ski in the places we originally wanted to, instead we spend time at Les Houches and St Gervais. Still very good!
10 CRAZIEST Attractions in the World
10 CRAZIEST Attractions in the World
If you're new, Subscribe! →
Whether it’s a trip to the grand canyon, the eiffel tower, or even Disneyland many of us have been tourists ourselves and it isn’t surprising given that the tourism industry world wide generates more than seven and a half trillion dollars annually! With so much money at stake local governments and tourism boards have plenty of incentive to maintain historic buildings, landmarks, and national parks.
Some are stunning, some are educational, and some are downright dangerous, today we are looking at 10 of the most amazing tourist attractions in the world.
10. Great smokey mountains
Along the border of Tennessee and North Carolina lies the majestic Smokie Mountain Range, a sub-range of the Appalachian Mountains that are commonly referred to as the Smokies. As it turns out, the Smokies aren’t actually covered in smoke but rather a thick fog that has become a defining feature of the area. The fog is not your average fog, and actually isn’t low lying cloud cover, instead, it is the result of local vegetation that exhales chemicals with high vapor pressures, without getting too bogged down in the scientist of things, this creates a mist that reminds many visitors of smoke, and speaking of visitors, this iconic tourist attraction draws nearly 12 million people every year! The smokies have even more to offer visitors then just the picturesque fog, in fact they contain several notable spots including the Clingmans Dome which peaks at 6,643 feet.
9. Mont Blanc
The second mountain on our list, Mont Blanc draws even bigger crowds and employs a workforce of nearly 50,000 people. The millions of tourists that flock to this area every year are greeted not only by breathtaking views but also some unique feats of infrastructure. Mont Blanc is home to the Mont Blanc Tunnel, an 11,600 km highway tunnel that runs between Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, France and Courmayeur, Aosta Valley, Italy. The mountain also has a cable car that climbs nearly 1300 feet in 10 minutes. And even if you’ve never heard of Mont Blanc you have likely heard of its parent peak, the infamous Mount Everest. While Mount Everest is likely the most famous mountain nearby, as it turns out mont Blanc is decidedly more deadly, while it is estimated that there are around 200 bodies lost on Mount Everest, Mont blanc claims around 100 lives every year meaning that thousands have lost their lives to the mountain over the years, this number is tragic but it’s a little better when you consider that over 30,000 people have attempted to reach the peak.
8. Louvre
One of the better-known destinations on our list, the Louvre was built in the year 1202, under the orders of Philip II of France, but over the years it gradually changed until it was repurposed as an art museum in 1793. Since then it has gone on to be the world’s most visited art museum, and tourists keep pouring in for good reason, in fact, the Louvre is home to the most astounding collection of art in the world, among the nearly 400,000 pieces displayed there are Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa and over 50,000 relics from ancient Egypt. It should also be noted that the site isn’t only of vital historical significance but it also remains a key contributor to the French economy as well, in fact the museum sees an average of 10.8 million visitors every year, and with each person paying just shy of $20.00 for admission, it adds up pretty quickly!

We got into the worst thunderstorm of our lives! | Day 2.2 of Tour du Mont Blanc at Col de Tricot
In this episode of Tour du Mont Blanc we hiked from Col de Tricot to Chalets de Miage.
We were almost at the peak when the dark low clouds started to come down at us and we heard the thunder. It was very scary as it was very close to us. So we tried to go faster. But it was hard with the tireness that we had already. We hoped that it will go away soon and it wont rain heavily. So we got over the mountain quickly but soon realized that the clouds are staying abd it getting worse with the fierce wind and rain with thunder. We started coming down hoping that we manage to come down in time but it was too late...

- A High Altitude Travel Diary -
Directed by Jérôme Tanon.
Starring : Thomas Delfino, Léo Taillefer, Zak Mills, Yannick Graziani, Hélias Millerioux, Jérôme Tanon.
The intimate travel diary of an incredible Freeride expedition into the heart of the Karakoram range. The search for one of the most beautiful mountains to ski on the planet, standing at 5880m. An adventure so remote, so high, so committed that no mistakes were allowed. During five weeks, the crew pushed deeper and deeper inside Pakistan, with a 150 km loop in complete autonomy, pulling sleds filled with food, tents and solar panels across gigantic glaciers. As far from home as one can get. A meeting point of Freeriding and Mountaineering. A true adventure.

The TMB:Part 2 | Courmayeur to Champex-Lac
As the title says this is part 2 of my TMB adventure.
We pick back up on my rest day in Courmayeur and finish at my 2nd rest day (because I could) in Champex Lac.
During these days I had the pleasure of hiking with Søren and Sofie from Instagram (go check them out and I also had the pleasure of meeting Caoimhe ( at col grand ferret. Hope you are all doing great :D
These few days were a real nice change from the first few, there was less up and down which was great for the legs and there was more time around and below the tree line :) Again we had mostly clear skies with some cloud cover and not a drop of rain!
Cosmiques Couloir - Chamonix
I was surrounded by amazing guys, in a cloud, during my first ski rappel, onto variable snow, for a good 9,000 vert decent... such a memorable kick~ass run!
