A drive along the Colorado Riverway Recreation Area in eastern Utah
This video starts near Moab, Utah on State Highway 128 as it winds its way the Colorado Riverway. I have another video that was recorded deeper into the riverway.
Here's a description of the Riverway provided by the Bureau of Land Management:
The Colorado Riverway includes 48 miles [77 kilometres] of spectacular red-rock canyon along the Colorado River near Moab. The only stretch of the Colorado River in Utah accessible by paved highways, the riverway allows visitors to drive along the river, enjoying the scenic wonderland of colorful cliffs, river-carved canyons, and massive sandstone spires. Various layers of sandstone have been revealed by the cutting action of the river. The drive along the Colorado Riverway is one of the most scenic in the United States.

Directions
From Moab, drive north 2 miles on U.S. Highway 191. Turn right on State Highway 128. The eastern portion of the riverway starts here, and continues for 30 miles to its terminus at historic Dewey Bridge. To access the western portion of the riverway, continue on U.S. Highway 191 for an additional 2 miles. Turn left onto State Highway 279, and follow it for 18 miles to its terminus at Potash. Note: One of the two unpaved portions of the riverway extends from Potash to Canyonlands National Park on a four-wheel-drive road. The other partially unpaved section is Kane Creek Road, which follows the Colorado River for 4 miles, then turns up the Kane Creek tributary of the river for an unpaved additional 5 miles. To access Kane Creek Road from Center and Main Street in Moab, drive south on Main Street (U.S. Highway 191) for 1 mile. Then turn right onto Kane Creek Boulevard, which becomes Kane Creek Road.
Ep. 98: Canyonlands National Park & Moab | RV travel Utah camping
Canyonlands encompasses over 337,000 acres of high Eastern Utah desert including colorful canyons, mesas, buttes, fins, arches, and spires. Water and gravity have been the primary architects of this land, sculpting layers of rock into the rugged landscape you see today.
While boondocking on state land for free camping along Dalton Wells Road, we explore Gemini Bridges, travel Island in the Sky, descend the precipitous Shafer Trail, visit Thelma & Louise Point, check out the climbers along Wall Street, grab a burger at Milt's Stop 'n Eat, and preview the BLM campgrounds along the Colorado Riverway Recreation Area.
Filmed April 23-26, 2019.

ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Instead, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. And unlike most other RV channels on YouTube, we're not RV dealers or full-timers -- we're weekend warriors just like you!
We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

Colorado River Trip - Trip From Hell 3 - Magic Canoe
This is the next Adventure for Doug and Olga's Channel. We spent six days going down the Colorado River in a canoe. Could have done it in less time, but we wanted plenty of camping time as well. We had two good sunny days and 4 days of rain. It was the 3rd time for me, but the first for Olga!
Enjoy! Happy Trails!
