Angels of Light Paranormal Society - Yuba City, Old Sutter Co. Coroner's Office 2013
In 1927 Hugh Pryce Jones was appointed as Sutter County Coroner. This home was once the original Sutter County Coroner's office, circa 1928. In 1961, it became a residence for the first time. The residents living here now experience an array of paranormal activity, ranging from, hot/cold spots, items being thrown from countertops, picture frames being launched from the wall (on study hooks), and dark apparitions appearing in their door way. There has even been a change in their dog since moving to the home late last year. They contacted ALPS for some answers. This is what we caught during our preliminary visit. More to come soon....

A Ghost in Marysville - Deanna Explains
IMPROMPTU INVESTIGATION OF THE MARYSVILLE HOTEL
When Deanna, Bonnie and Abigail investigated the store in downtown Marysville, Deanna and I scouted out and did an impromptu investigation of the Marysville Hotel.
Here is some of the history of the hotel:
1926: The Hotel Marysville opens.
1927: Baseball legends Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig stay at the hotel during a barnstorming tour stop in the city.
1933: Fire causes heavy damage to the hotel's fifth floor.
1981: City Councilman William Young calls the Hotel Marysville the biggest den of iniquity we have.
1986: The hotel closes.
1992: Local developer George Murray purchases the hotel.
1993: Clyde Bennett purchases the hotel amid discussion of a plan by Caltrans to redevelop the building into offices.
1997: The City Council approves a plan put forth by San Jose developers to revitalize the hotel with a major restaurant and micro-brewery. Later the same year, Orangevale nonprofit Why Not? Community Development Corp. also proposes a plan to develop the hotel for senior housing and retail.
1998: Why Not? sues Bennett for breach of contract and bad faith negotiations over the proposed hotel sale.
1999: Local developer Bruce Porter announces plans for a hotel and conference center at the hotel.
2000: Bennett is the lone bidder in a foreclosure sale and re-acquires the hotel.
2001: Bennett dies, leaving the hotel in his estate. The City Council agrees to put together a plan to demolish the hotel while still accepting renovation proposals.
2002: Mercy Housing California and Urban Financial Services Group of Pleasant Hill put forth plans for a restaurant and hotel complex. Tod and Doreen Zimmerman of Paradise purchase the hotel from Bennett's estate for $190,000.
Another celebrity that stayed at the hotel was Willie Nelson. There are 3 lights that stay on at the hotel and no one can explain why 3 rooms out of this large dark building has 3 lights on in 3 rooms of the hotel, it's a mystery. People have claimed to have seen apparitions of people looking out the window. Edna Scarbough of Yuba City says while she was peering through the lobby doors she saw a brunette woman with a long flowing blue dress glide through the lobby and then vanished into thin air. GHOST IDENTIFIED: MARYSVILLE HOTEL BLUE LADY.
JUAN CORONA AKA THE MACHETE KILLER:
When investigating Marysville once before, I was told that Natividad Corona, the brother of serial killer Juan Corona aka the Machete Killer stayed in one of the rooms of the Marysville Hotel. If you do not know who Juan Corona was, here is some info: Juan Vallejo Corona (born c. 1934) is a Mexican American serial killer who was convicted of the murders of 25 migrant farm workers found buried in shallow graves in fruit orchards along the Feather River in Sutter County, California, in 1971. At the time, the crimes were characterized as among the most notorious in U.S. history. The exact victim total remains unknown and may be significantly higher, according to local authorities. Corona was convicted of 25 counts of first-degree murder in 1973. An Appeals Court overturned the conviction in 1978 and granted him a new trial. In 1982, he was again found guilty of all 25 homicides. He is currently serving a life sentence in Corcoran State Prison. Investigators now say that the TRUE serial killer was actually Juan's brother Natividad.

Inn Town Campground Nevada City California CA - CampgroundViews.com
Inn Town Campground ( in Nevada City California features full and partial hookup RV sites of varying length and widths, dozens of tent camping sites, and glamping canvas tents all located within a heavily forested setting. Inn Town Campground is essentially a really nice Forest Service campground with luxury amenities included. Adjacent to the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum the campground is easily accessed from the Gold Flat exit on California Highway 49/20.
Inn Town Campground provides luxury camping amenities in a down-home and historic setting. The grounds for the park are of historical interest with a preserved location for a Chinese Burial Ground (the remains have been moved back to China), location of the old main line railroad that ran down to Colfax during the late 1800’s/ early 1900’s, and old mining equipment (located along the 1 mile trail to historic downtown Nevada City) including the infamous water cannons used for Placer mining.
Inn Town Campground luxury amenities are highlighted by the 3,000 square foot communal building featuring a comfortable reading room, game room, camping store and entertainment area with fireplace and big screen TV. The building also contains a fully stocked kitchen with two refrigerators and multiple dining tables (you bring your own food). On the back side of this building are restroom and shower facilities including two family restroom/ shower rooms. In addition there is a laundry. Outside is a propane powered fire pit, tables and chairs. By spring 2017 a new swimming pool will be added and ready for a refreshing dip.
The park was designed to include and keep as much of the natural setting as possible. The campsites and glamping tents are all located at various elevations dependent upon the natural terrain. RV access can be a bit tight for extra large RVs but anything under 40′ will fit. Tent campers have choices between drive up campsites or campsites with short hike-in access (gear carts are available). The glamping canvas tents are located in two areas with the main row sharing a community propane fire pit. A couple additional glamping tents are located a short distance away in a bit more private setting. All glamping tents enjoy fantastic backside patio views overlooking the grounds.
As noted earlier there is a foot path that provides walking access to historic Downtown Nevada City. The first 3/8 mile of the path wanders through an old garden and along wooded trails crossing old rail lines. The final distance is along sidewalks adjacent to secondary roads. Nevada City California is best described as a mix of Jackson Hole chic and Key West funkiness all mixed within an authentic gold mining era community.
In addition the park also features a community outdoor theater that plays movies in season on weekends, 2 additional bath houses (each with one outdoor shower and a dish cleaning station), and multiple propane powered fire rings. The family friendly environment, natural setting, proximity to town, and immediate access to points of historical interest all combine to make Inn Town Campground one of the more unique camping destination in the United States.

Strongest storm in years hammers the Bay Area Part 2 ( 12-14/15-16)
The strongest storm in years now made landfall on the California coast. In the middle of the video i encountered some of the strongest winds i have ever felt. The wind was likely sustained at 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph deck chairs skittered around and the wind took my umbrella. We then went into the car as we headed home to Napa. A very heavy downpour occurred around Mill Valley. We also sadly witnessed a car crash. Later in the day a flash flood warning was issued due to excess rainfall. In the next video you will see what happened to our little town due to all this rain.

In late December of 2007 a Progressive and Technical Death Metal band with a twist of Brutality was formed deep in the mountainous regions of Grass Valley California. In this seemingly nothingness of a town this band began to write music with influences of Lamb Of God, Pantera, Death, Behemoth, Decrepit Birth and many more. As their music grew in strength and speed they were able to decide the direction that they wished to take their music in. The 1st show in the history of this band was Oct 8 2008 at Club Retro in Orangevale CA. Since then this band has gone no more than 2 weeks without playing a show at some venue in the area, Unless they are in the writing process. Recently they have released there EP. Blood For The Ancients which beholds 6 intensely fast and heavy Death metal songs. The EP can be purchased for $5 at any show. We will continue to play shows and support the Metal community in every venue we set foot in.
Poor People's Campaign in Marysville, CA for MLKJ Day: Anthony Prince, California Homeless Union
Anthony Prince, California Poor People's Campaign/Lead Attorney for California Homeless Union
From These Ashes, a New Movement is Rising! Hosted by California Poor People's Campaign and the Marysville Homeless Union.
What is The California Homeless Union?
The California Homeless Union began four years ago in Salinas as the community fought to stop the destruction of the Chinatown homeless encampment. Since then, the Union has established locals in Salinas, Oakland, Santa Cruz, Marysville, and Chico.
What is the purpose of the Homeless Union?
To unite all those who are unable to afford or have lost their housing no matter how they became homeless. To represent ourselves and be at the table when policies are made that affect us.
What is the structure of the Homeless Union?
The basic unit of the Union is the Local, made up of homeless people in a given city or county, with smaller divisions in specific shelters, tent cities, encampments, etc. Members elect an Executive Board made up of President, Vice-President, Recording Secretary, and Treasurer. Locals should hold Membership meetings at least once a month.
What are the goals of the Homeless Union?
We fight for decent housing for all people. We want government bodies, officials and agencies, service providers, etc. to treat homeless people with respect at all times. We organize mutual support with Survival Programs and Education and we aim to become the collective bargaining representative for homeless persons just as the trade union is the collective bargaining representative for workers on the job.
How do you join the Union? What are the duties of Union member?
Fill out a Union Questionnaire and Membership Application. Pay dues established by the Local (In some cases, dues will be waived). Members must support the Union by participating Union activities and upholding solidarity with poor and homeless people everywhere.
