Cooking classes and culinary holidays are based in Toffia, a medieval hilltop village that is breathtakingly beautiful and totally authentic.

Italian Cooking Class Roman Artichokes
Rome cooking classes run by Convivio Rome Italian Cooking Holidays offer more than just a italian cooking lesson. All our one day, half day cooking classes and italian cooking holidays are conducted within a well equipped home kitchen within the ancient walls of Toffia, a picturesque medieval hill top village found just north of Rome. Toffia dates back to the 900's, is built on top of a ridge, and overlooks the olive groves of the Sabine Hills. This unspoilt countryside is only 40 minutes by train from central Rome and yet feels like miles and worlds away. Visitors to our Convivio Rome cooking school and Toffia, often describe this medieval village as 'like being on a film set' .
All ingredients for our cooking classes are sourced locally, are in season and fresh from nearby farmers. Here we show a montage of photos taken during a cooking lesson on Roman Artichokes ' Carciofi alla Romana'. All cooking lessons include 3 courses: primo, secondo and 'dolce' or dessert.
Convivio Rome Italian Cooking Holidays offer One Day, and 3 or 5 night Cooking Holidays, and Olive Oil Tours. Web site and contact details :
