Sicilian bread & pizza master class by Alessia SmileandFood
The setting for this marvellous activity is on the banks of the Porbella creek , near Palazzolo Acreide, in the heart of the Hyblean highlands. We start with a visit to the historic Santa Lucia Mill , where we will demonstrate to you how the grain is milled, using the energy generated by the waters of the creek and utilising the antique millstones which were carved from the local stone. In a nearby cottage we will hold the master class on Sicilian bread and pizza making. But first we can collect the wild herbs we need for the pizza in the beautiful countryside. During the master class all the secrets you need to know to obtain a perfect pizza and delicious bread will be revealed with the help of Mother Nature herself. Don Vincenzo Tramontano è un Mammasantissima, ossia un capo rione molto amato perché amministra i quartieri di Napoli secondo il suo codice morale, dalla parte dei deboli e contro i prepotenti. Oltre a ciò, gestisce il contrabbando delle sigarette. Un giorno, una coppia di sposini vessata da Salvatore Bufalo, un tenitore di banco dei pegni che pratica interessi usurai ed è solito intimidire i clienti insolventi con minacce di vario genere, si rivolge a Don Vincenzo che, compresa la meschinità del Bufalo, affronta i guardaspalle dell'usuraio e lo deride in piazza, tra l'applauso dei presenti, sfiniti dalle angherie dell'uomo. Un nemico di Don Vincenzo, un altro contrabbandiere noto come l'Avvocato, saputo del rancore del Bufalo rispetto al suo antagonista in affari, decide di istigarlo alla vendetta
Don Vincenzo is a well respected boss from Naples, but he protects people from other criminals, like gypsies, loan sharks and Don Bufalo...but as they say in Naples, a Mammasantissima either ends in jail or inside a grave.
