El Govern de la Generalitat ha concedit a Rafael Domènech Jordà (Falset, 66 anys) la Medalla al Treball Francesc Macià 2014 reconeixent la seva dedicació, constància i esperit d’iniciativa a l’Hotel-Hostal Sport de Falset. Domènech és la tercera generació de l’empresa familiar que va néixer el 1923 i el premi és un homenatge als mèrits laborals al capdavant de l’Sport, però també a la contribució que ha realitzat el negoci a l’impuls de l’economia catalana.
L’actual gerent de l’Hotel Sport i filla de Rafael Domènech, Marta Domènech, celebra el reconeixement que ha assolit el seu predecessor, que va ser juntament amb la seva mare, Pilar Tomàs, els qui “van seguir l’estela familiar amb el mateix bon fer i voluntat de servei i van convertir l’Hostal Sport en Hotel, mantenint sempre les arrels tradicionals del bon servei, el bon fer i el bon gust, assegurant els valors i l’estètica del parada i fonda d’altres èpoques.
“Sempre l’he vist treballar amb voluntat d’excel·lència i servei, no ha defallit mai malgrat les adversitats, primer quan es va fer càrrec de l’establiment amb 19 anys després de la mort del seu pare, i després quan vam patir l’incendi. De matinada se’ns en va anar tot en orris i a primera hora del matí ja parlava amb els paletes per engegar de nou” explica Domènech.

The LAHON family, originating from Brussels (Belgium), moved to Catalonia in 1994. Eric Lahon, the father, became enchanted by the Spanish wine growing realm and decided to exercise his skills in wine tasting and appreciation writing. Among other activities, he organised for more than 5 years wine-tasting sessions for the readers and subscribers to the daily newspaper “La Vanguardia “. Similar sessions were organised on private, professional or factual occasions. While wandering around in the Priorat region looking for interesting wines he could select for his thematic wine-tasting sessions, he discovered a 9.7 ha (around 20 acres) vineyard planted with native old white and red Grenache vines. After a Master in Oenology and Viticulture, he and his family acquired the land and created their own brand of wine….MAS LAHON and its LOU’s were born.
Our activity consists in wine growing, elaboration, fermentation, production and the marketing of our own wines.
Our mission is to pass on and to share our passion with wine lovers eager to discover and taste our finest wines.

The Capafons-Ossó family has five generations dedicated to the cultivation of vineyards and to the production of wines, each one of the generations has contributed their efforts and their knowledge to extract from the vineyards the best quality of wine.
We produce wines in the PRIORAT region for two decades with vineyards in two denominations of the D.O Montsant and D.O.Q Priorat, differentiated by soil, climate, grape varieties and historical and geographical subjects.

Deltebre (ACN).- Els productors del delta de l'Ebre han iniciat la campanya de la sega de l'arròs amb la recol·lecció de les varietats com la bomba, la més primerenca i sensible a les inclemències meteorològiques. Si les previsions es compleixen, la collita al delta de l'Ebre tornarà a situar-se al voltant dels 120 milions de quilos d'arròs en closca, a l'espera de confirmar si els altes temperatures de les últimes setmanes o l'acció dels fongs han afectat el desenvolupament de les espigues. Les cooperatives continuen potenciant la producció i comercialització de varietats amb un alt valor afegit, cas de l'arròs bomba d'Arrossaires del delta de l'Ebre, o de la varietat montsianell de la Cambra Arrossera del Montsià.

Clos Mogador is one of the great wineries in Spain, whose wines are characterized by a very special finesse. Owner of the winery is René Barbier, who fulfilled a long-cherished dream with the purchase of the property. René Barbier’s great breakthrough has turned a barren, mountainous landscape into a world-class winery, which today enjoys fame and recognition. René Barbier is a passionate winemaker who has managed to turn the Clos Mogador winery into a magnificent and productive estate whose wines conquer the French market. Here, Clos Mogador was a winery that lay fallow for a long time. With the former wasteland that René Barbier acquired in the eighties, the winery is no longer comparable. For more than 30 years, the wine connoisseur and successful winemaker René Barbier has combined modern and traditional wine-making methods to create wines that are not available in this form for a second time.
Previously, the vineyards over Tarragona were wild and untamed. Today, the winery Clos Mogador, located in Gratallops, in the Spanish region of Catalonia, radiates tranquility. René Barbier was able to use effectively the slate soils of his domain, which he affectionately called Clos Mogador, by planting rich and noble vines from which he pressed one of the best red wines in Spain. The grape varieties Carignan, Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, which have an unmistakable flavor, are still in existence today. Surrounded are the vines of olive, almond and fruit trees, which loosen up the scenic appearance. For many years, the vintage on Clos Mogador is done exclusively by hand, before the grapes are processed with a century-old press. In production, René Barbier pays attention to every detail, so that his red wines are characterized by power and refinement. On wine barrels made of stainless steel waived the winemaker entirely. Rather, he resorts to traditional barrels made of either wood or cement. Since René Barbier remembers old traditions, the wines are neither filtered nor pressed in closed containers. The result is red wines that shine with fully ripe and extremely dark fruits. The spicy and complex taste is reminiscent of berries, leather and wild herbs that provide a powerful and long-lasting finish.
