Cotswolds, England: Village Charm
More info about travel to the Cotswolds: As with many fairy-tale regions in Europe, the present-day beauty of England's Cotswolds was the result of an economic disaster — in this case, the collapse of the wool industry. The fine Cotswold towns fell into a time warp, creating a rustic charm that is the basis of today's new prosperity from tourism.

Day Trip to Polperro, Cornwall, England
Polperro (population just under 6,000) is an iconic and picturesque Cornish Fishing Village that hasn’t changed its general appearance in centuries, and therefore a very popular tourist attraction. The roads in Polperro are very narrow, so on arriving you should park in the main carpark situated on the outskirts of the village (just off the roundabout) and walk through the village to the harbour on foot; just a 10 minute leisurely walk from the carpark to the harbour.
In walking from the carpark to the harbour its worth stopping to look at the ‘Shell House’, decorated with shells from all around the world by Seaman Samuel Puckey between 1937 and 1942; which is now a Grade II Listed Building to protect its unique features.
Access by road from the direction of Looe is on the A387 (the main road) which terminates at Polperro. Therefore, access from any other direction is via the Cornish country roads, many of which are single track lanes for two-way traffic; so meeting oncoming traffic on these roads can be challenging.

This travel vlog from St Ives on our Rabbies tour continues on from a video we started in Cornwall earlier in the day and deserves it's own. St Ives and Cornish pasties are on the menu today and we're excited to share both with you, as controversial as our opinions might be :P
Cornwall is home to the Cornish Pasty, another British food we were told we had to hunt out and try. Trying them in St Ives seemed like the perfect place! We couldn't find a nice spot down by the beach so instead found a bakery with great reviews, and apparently awards, to taste.
Cornwall might be one of our favourite places in England, but the pasty probably won't be on our ordering list again. It's not as much about the pasties as it was about our personal taste - not really the sort of combination of flavours that tick the boxes for us!
Rabbies is an award winning small tours company that operate in the UK - 16 seater buses, driver and guide and a load of epic locations to visit. While this is a paid partnership all opinions are our own, as always. We hand pick our partnerships to ensure we keep things real and honest throughout - we genuinely loved our tour and recommend you check out all the tours Rabbies offers here —

Top 10 Worst Places to Live in England
Get more Tips here! destinationtips.com
According to ilivehere.co.uk, which has been compiling this list for more than a decade, with the votes from thousands of readers, these are the WORST places to live in England.
10: Blackpool
Once famed for its golden mile, Blackpool now conjures up images of drunken stags and hens, falling over in the street and spewing on themselves, before retiring to a grotty seaside B&B.
9: Oldham
The most deprived town in England according to the ONS, where the streets have been described as “graffiti covered, fly-tipped shells of what they once were”.
8: Sunderland
has the highest rate of teen pregnancies in Europe.
sexual offences, violent crime and theft are all on the up and are higher than the national average. (I’ve seen policemen on pedal bikes chasing chavs in stolen cars. You might not believe it but I really have seen it!)
7: Gravesend
One voter comments: I have lived in Gravesend all my life. I have visited many other crap towns across Kent like Lewisham, Dartford, Chatham and so on and not one so far, has even came near to being as chav infested as Gravesend.
6. BRADFORD
A Commenter says: Bradford is literally hell on earth. The city centre resembles a squalid cess pit, full of monstrous partially demolished 60’s concrete office blocks, Pound shops, amusement arcades, prostitutes, heroin addicts, Eastern European car-jackers, Asian drug dealers, pre-pubescent mums and mad alcoholic tramps having arguments with themselves.
Being the sixth largest city in the country, in terms of population, it now boasts another famous serial killer...
5: ROCHDALE
One in seven people in Rochdale had no qualifications at all. Weekly earnings were £413 on average last year, compared to £676 in London.
4. SCUNTHORPE
A town once voted the least romantic place in the country.
Apparently Maccy Ds is a chav’s staple diet. Well the small town of Scunthorpe has 3.
3. LUTON
One commenter points out; on Christmas day the local McDonalds gets busier every year”
Black, White, Asian it doesn’t matter, everyone looks like they’re trying to escape or have given up hope on life itself.
2. KINGSTON UPON HULL
based on official government statistics, Hull is the worst place to live in England.
1. DOVER
Apparentñy Dover only beat Hull by 16 votes.
One reader comments;
Let us for a moment imagine that the British Isles are the silhouette of an old man. Scotland is his cap, Cornwall his toes, Anglia his curved spine, making Dover his herpes infested s**t-hole.
Which do you think is the Worst Place to Live in England?
