Moraira Costa Blanca Spain (Tour)
This small but perfectly formed town lies on the coast just 30 kilometres north of Benidorm and remains one of the most unspoilt resorts on the Costa Blanca. Many British expats have made this their permanent home. The town is situated around its beautiful marina area and it is here you will find Moraira's restaurant scene. Take in a meal while being serenaded with live music or browse around the marina.
Moraira has a lovely sandy beach and is a haven of peace and tranquillity. The old quarter is perfect for strolling and browsing around. Here you will find a selection of artisan shops.
During the evening enjoy a meal alfresco and let the night atmosphere envelop you, sit back and relax. After dinner browse around the craft market and perhaps take home a local souvenir or piece of hand made jewellery.
There is a regular coach service from Benidorm bus station. If you're driving then simply head along the N332 north and follow directions.
Costa Blanca by tram (Alicante-Benidorm-Calpe)
The Alicante Metropolitan Tram light rail combines different modes of rail services: a partially underground modern tramway through Alicante city centre, a tram-train from Alicante to Benidorm, and conventional commuter rail from Benidorm to Altea, Calp and Dénia.
Lines:
L1 (tram-train), from Alicante city centre to Benidorm (70 minutes). In Benidorm it connects with line L9 to Dénia.
L2 (tram), from the city centre to the General Hospital of Alicante, the University of Alicante and San Vicente del Raspeig (15 minutes).
L3 (tram), from Alicante to El Campello (30 minutes).
L4 (tram), from the city centre to Playa de San Juan (30 minutes).
L5 (tram), from Porta del Mar to Sangueta,
L9 (diesel train), from Benidorm along the coast to Dénia, stopping at other important tourist towns like Altea and Calp. The line is prepared for electrification (60 minutes).
There are plans to extend the tram-train service southwards to Alicante Airport, El Altet, Elche, Gran Alacant, Santa Pola, Guardamar and Torrevieja.

Benidorm is a thriving resort town located on the beautiful Costa Blanca in Spain. It is famous for its beautiful beaches, sunny weather for almost 320 days a year and a cozy location.
Most often, tourists and property owners arrive at Alicante airport. There is a direct bus service from the airport to the city. Which can be reached in 45-50 minutes.
It is believed that the city is divided into three main areas: Levante, Centro and Poniente.
In the area of Poniente mainly live Spaniards who bought property and building land in the middle of the last century, when Benidorm was just beginning to develop as a tourist center of the province.
The vast majority of houses here are located on the first and second line of the beach, although the municipal authorities decided to build vacant land.
In this case, the most tasty morsel is already given for the construction of a new luxury skyscraper called Delfin Tower.
The Beautiful Town of Altea Nr Benidorm Costa Blanca Spain (Tour)
Altea.
The typically Spanish 'white' town of Altea is approximately 12 kilometres north of Benidorm. We say 'white' because it is a beautiful town built on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean sea, with its white houses shimmering in the sunshine on tiny streets leading up to its magnificent blue domed church which dominates the town.
It really is a picture postcard version of Spain and one that is so far removed from the skyscrapers of Benidorm; it is difficult to believe that they are both neighbours.
Once outside the imposing church you will discover the hub of 'central Altea'. This glorious piazza comes to life each evening and offers a multitude of bars and upscale restaurants. There are also located here some great viewing spots, the views are breath taking, taking in the town and the Mediterranean sea, mountains and incredible vistas right over to Benidorm! Definitely a Kodak moment!
All along the streets leading up to the church you will also find many high end boutiques and artisan shops, specialising in arts and crafts, jewellery and designer clothing. Altea market takes place each Tuesday.
Altea also possesses a beautiful sea front promenade which has been landscaped with hundreds of palm trees offering some much needed shade. Here you will also discover a huge selection of cafés and restaurants, why not stop and enjoy a café con leche or lunch. The selection is numerous and all of them offer dining alfresco.
Altea port is a busy working port and each day many fishing boats can be seen departing and returning, you may also wish to browse around some of the beautiful boats which harbour here.
Altea makes for a perfect day out from Benidorm and is easily reached by public transport. From the centre of Benidorm simply hop on the number 10 bus. This service runs every 15 minutes and the journey time is approximately 35 minutes. The tram also whisks you effortlessly from Benidorm train station to Altea station in approx' 20 minutes. If you have hired a car then it is a simple 15 minute drive from Benidorm centre. Take the N332 (national road) direction north (Valencia) and park! Check at your hotels reception desk, they most likely will have details of organised day trips.
For a more traditional taste of Spain Altea is the place to go!

International guests get a bad room, the inner shaft (inner courtyard), no international television program, only Spanish.
The hotel is not suitable for international guests, in no case for German or English guests.
Benidorm is just beautiful and for a good beach holiday. We should, however, English, or Spanish can, otherwise you will get here eventually, problems.
So what I have never experienced. I had the feeling I would not be welcome. It is customary that the host is no good day or a good morning wishes. In the dining room, where the drink issue was a rude tone. No operation. I also believe the international guests at the Hotel Camposol not so happy to be seen.

Albir (Playa Del Albir) L'Alfàs del Pi, Costa Blanca (Spanish Version) (Tour)
Playa del Albir.
Welcome to the beautiful small resort town of Playa del Albir! This gem of a town is located between Benidorm (6KM to the south) and Altea (3KM to the north). It is ideally suited to holidaymakers looking for an alternative to busy Benidorm but offering easy access to all the Costa Blanca has to offer.
When the local town hall with the help of its architects designed how the modern Albir would look, they made some very good decisions, they took care to create wide boulevards' lined with trees providing the spacious atmosphere that is so well known throughout Spain. Indeed Albir is known as one of the Costa Blanca's crown jewels.
Albir's beach is called Playa de Racó de l'Albir and is approximately 590 meters long, continually receiving the coveted Blue flag award annually since 2001.
The seafront here is breathtaking, offering sweeping views of Altea and Calpe's famous Peñon de Ifach. The beach is pebbly but beautifully maintained and sun beds are numerous. During the summer months the beach is protected by life-guards.
Each July the town hosts a film festival which is well known throughout Spain and a huge screen is erected on the beach. Films are shown from 10pm onwards.
During July and August each evening a craft market sets up along the beach front. Here you will find locally produced goods, such as paintings, leather goods and the occasional Spanish sweet treat! Albir is also home to a typical Spanish market which takes place every Sunday in the centre of town. The market opens at 9am and closes at 2pm. Here you will find anything from shoes to beach wear. If you're staying in an apartment this is an excellent time to stock up on some superb local produce. You will find a variety of locally grown fruit and vegetables and some great Spanish hams!
The Sierra Helada or frozen mountain dominates the town. This has been declared a Spanish national park and offers a stunning walk to the town's very own light house. Please remember that should you wish to take the walk to take bottled water with you and don't forget your camera! You can access the park by walking along the Cami del Faro. Best times to visit are mornings and late afternoons, to avoid of course the intense heat of the summer sun.
Modern Albir caters for its residents and holidaymakers alike. The town is home to approximately 5,000 full time residents most of whom are Northern European expats. The whole area has a cosmopolitan 'feel' about it and this is reflected in its bars and restaurants. Don't be surprised to find a Scandinavian bar next to a Dutch restaurant! The seafront is lined with a variety of sophisticated bars and restaurants, all of which can offer anything from a simple beer, to a delicious cocktail or a superb lunch or dinner.
Albir's nightlife tends to be more low key than its famous neighbour, however the choice of restaurants and bars opening until the small hours will not disappoint you.
The town has a choice of hotels ranging from large and modern to small and cosy. Nothing in Albir is too large as the town has a law forbidding any high rises to be constructed.
Albir is also home to a large variety of shops ranging from clothing boutiques to supermarkets. The giant Spanish supermarket chain Mercadona has a large supermarket located more or less at the entrance to the town as does Lidl.
Now there are times when you may get the urge to swap Albir's tranquillity for some serious Benidorm shopping, eating, drinking or partying.
Then you should know how to get around. You can make your way from Albir to Benidorm by bus or by taxi. Bus stops are conveniently located along Albir's main roads. The town is served by an excellent bus service. Look out for the number 10 which runs every 15 minutes through out the day to Benidorm. The price of a single ticket is 1.40 euros. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes and you will of course know when you are in Benidorm simply by looking up at the high rises! The same bus will also whisk you to the beautiful Spanish white town of Altea within 15 minutes.
A ride from the taxi rank at the Avenida de l'Albir, which is located opposite the Consum Supermarket to Benidorm takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes and will cost anywhere between €8 and €11 depending of course which part of the city you wish to visit.
Then return to the tranquillity which is Albir, and relax.
