Arenal Volcano National Park Costa Rica- MUST SEE!
Arenal Volcano National Park Costa Rica- MUST SEE!
Arenal Volcano National Park in Costa Rica is a STUNNING and SPECTACULAR place to visit. My wife and I took a tour through our hotel- Casa Luna Hotel and Spa- and venture to this MAGICAL place. Our wonderful tour guide took us. When we arrived, a coatimundi (similar to a raccoon) walked in front of our bus. Fortunately, we would see many more coatimundis, leaf-cutting ants, a toucan. The best part about coming out here is seeing Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. Arenal Volcano remains one of most active volcanoes in Costa Rica. It's hard seeing the top of the volcano when we went because of the clouds (our tour guide said September is the best time to see the top). Lake Arenal is a man-made lake. When the Ticos built it, they designed it for hydropower up. Now, the lake attracts many locals and tourists from all over. The calm, serine beauty left us speechless. We sail in a Lake Arenal yacht as we got amazing views of Arenal Volcano. It was an awesome place. Remember- THE VOYAGE IS CONTAGIOUS!!!!

2019 SPRING BREAK VLOG | ATLANTA / COSTA RICA
I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful country of Costa Rica and documented my trip. Enjoy!
Passenger Trains in Costa Rica 2018 - Transporte Ferroviario en Costa Rica
The rail system in Costa Rica is slowly coming back after being out of service since the 1990s as certain lines are being made suitable for rail service. Notice the lack of crossing guard gates at the intersections. Speaking to a number of locals: they say that accidents involving cars with the train occur but express pride that rail is coming back.
-
Currently the service operates from two main terminals which are the old Atlantic and Pacific stations located in San José Downtown, around 3 kilometres (2 mi) from each other. Incofer has bought many Apolo 2400 series railcars from the former narrow gauge operator in Spain, FEVE. Those cars are used in the commuter train service with complementary operations of so-called conventional trains (old General Electric diesel locomotives pulling old passenger cars built in Costa Rica).
-
A critical issue is that there are no barriers or lights at level crossings, only a warning sign at every one of the many grade crossings. Train airhorns are used to warn pedestrians and cars at every grade crossing of an incoming train. This is in order to prevent accidents, which have been registered, but due to the train's low speeds, they result in non-fatal accidents. There have been, as well, registered complaints about the train's loud horns (same air horns used in freight trains in other countries), but they have been overruled due to the necessity to warn traffic and pedestrians. Also many Costa Ricans feel identified with the train horns since they have been used ever since the railroad started operations. ~Wikipedia

WHALES AND WATERFALLS?! — Uvita, Costa Rica — Costa Rica Travel Vlog
Join us on a day trip from Quepos / Manuel Antonio to Uvita for some WHALE WATCHING! Don't tell Nari though, it's her birthday and it's a secret =)
Uvita is about 1 hour south from Quepos, just past another cool spot called Dominical. Both Dominical and Quepos are hippie towns that are worth a visit.
I'm throwing a link to the Flutterby House in Uvita Costa Rica, not because they asked me to, but because they were totally awesome and made this vlog (+ those tequila shots) possible with their generosity!!

MERCADO CENTRAL San Jose, Costa Rica | Randi Mealer's Trip to Central Market
This is my first travel vlog where my friend and I went to Mercado Central in San Jose, Costa Rica. This trip is super fun and just plain spontaneous as we try communicating with locals even though we know very little Spanish. It was also hard to get around without having any data for Google Translate. I got lazy and didn't buy the sim card so we had to survive this trip without one. ????
