El Salvador Flower Route and Santa Ana Volcano | 90+ Countries with 3 Kids
Ruta de las Flores - Flower Route is one of El Salvador’s most popular tours because of its picturesque abundance of flowers along the 22-mile road. It is surrounded by mountains as well, it looks divine and if you have time to make a few stops, you get the chance to visit many wonderful villages like Nahuizalco, Juayúa, Apaneca.
In addition to the flowers, there are many coffee plantations that you can see along the road. Coffee is a really important national product, and you get the opportunity to see the beans up close in its natural form. On this tour, we’ve really got the chance to explore different parts of this country.
We enjoy a full 2 day tour with Ivan from Real Trips which included a hike up the Santa Ana volcano.)
Here’s the link to his site:
Ivan took us to a lake canyon near Santa Ana, Lago de Coatepeque. Then around the flower route stopping in little villages with Central parks, churches, a christ statue, markets, look out points … and to the hotel at night. We ended the day with hot springs!!!
El Salvador has a bad reputation for being dangerous but we felt safe the whole time we were there. We walked around all the little towns along the Flower Route and had no problems at al.
Enjoy the video and make sure to let us know where you’re watching from!

Ometepe Nicaragua - One Island, Two Volcanoes! | 90+ Countries with 3 Kids
Welcome to Ometepe, a stunning hourglass-shaped island in lake Nicaragua!
The name Ometepe actually means “two mountains” because it consists of two volcanoes connected by a low isthmus. It is a true gift from nature and one of the most beautiful places in Nicaragua.
The volcanes are named Volcan Concepción and Volcan Maderas and they may be referred to as 'fire' and 'water' since they are completely opposite from each other.
The symmetrical one, Volcan Concepción, placed in the north-western part of the island is actually still active and lava-stained. The volcanic ash gives this island extreme fertility, so many locals live out of agriculture.
The second one, Volcan Maderas, is completely different: placid, full of greenery, nature, rain forest, wild life, and a beautiful waterfall. It’s covered with coffee and tobacco plantations on each side. With its peak of 1,394 m it is visible from all over the island.
Between the volcanoes, there is a hidden treasure named Ojo de Agua, a natural spring azure-colored pool. It has crystal clear water and it is surrounded by trees and wild life - birds, butterflies, squirrels, iguanas. It offers cocktails and food and you can just relax and enjoy the view listening to the sounds of nature.
Enjoy the video and make sure to comment below where you're watching from!
Stay tuned for some more videos from our adventure in Central America!

La Fortuna Costa Rica - Arenal Volcano Travel Guide | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
Welcome to La Fortuna, a charming little town in Costa Rica!
This cute town was founded in the 1930s and it was originally called “El Burio.” However, locals decided to change the name of the city to La Fortuna, which means “fortune” in Spanish, because of the fertility of their lands and the vast variety of tourist attractions it offers.
It is located in San Carlos Canton, nearby the Arenal Volcano, which you can clearly see from the village. Its first eruption happened in 1968 when it destroyed the small town of Tabacón and spared La Fortuna at the same time. Even though this was Costa Rica’s most active volcano during the past few decades, and one of top 10 most active volcanos in the world, since 2010, Arenal has been dormant.
The Arenal Volcano National Park is definitely worth a visit, especially if you are into bird-watching. 850 different bird species can be found here, along with coatis, deer, jaguars, various snakes and white-faced capuchin monkeys.
If you are looking for accommodation in La Fortuna, Selina is our recommendation. This place is ideal for digital nomads. It is located in the center of the town, has a fantastic co-working office, fast internet and plenty of space where you can relax, like comfy hammocks, huts around the bonfire, movie room, library, and outdoor yoga studio. They also have a pool, bar and a restaurant that serves terrific food, but also a shared kitchen where you can cook for yourself.
Enjoy the video!!!

Escazu,Santa Ana Costa Rica Neighbors Luxury Homes Costa Rica
Introduction:
Thinking to move and live in Costa Rica? Maybe for work or personal change? We will talk about the 2 most attractive neighborhoods in San Jose Costa Rica.
San Jose is Costa Rica’s capitol, it is surrounded by mountains and volcanoes, we have here different micro climates so temperature could go from like 62 to like 82 degrees Fahrenheit but this will depend on the location, there are different nice neighborhoods in San Jose but the most famous ones are Escazu and Santa Ana.
Why these locations? Those are the locations that have grown the most in the last 20 years so they offer the best amenities and from there is closer to go the beach.
Escazu: Located at an altitude around 1100 feet over the sea level on a the mountains, this is the first destination of many because it has a very nice weather and at night it gets much cooler, Escazu also offers amazing city views from most of the locations, modern infrastructure such as malls, strip malls, office parks, restaurants and more.
The area is very safe and beautiful to walk and enjoy a more modern city life style. Basically Escazu is more like many modern cities in the world. From this location to Downtown is about 25 minutes and to the closest nice beach around 60 minutes.
Santa Ana: Altitude around 900 Feet over sea level and located just around lets say 10 minutes away from Escazu, due to it’s attitude Santa Ana offers warmer climate and flatter land, the area has been developed a lot and it is still developing more however, still in Santa Ana you can feel a little more Costa Rica living style but it’s also a location with many first class amenities and things to do. It is also very safe and in this location you would be closer to 1 of the best golf course camps in the city. From this location your will spend around 35 minutes to downtown and 45 minutes to the closest nice beach.
Final comments,
About housing, both locations have very nice options; prices will be different just based on each individual property characteristics, both locations have great amenities including bilingual schools and great access to all areas but if you like panoramic city views and volcano views , you will find more options in Escazu! My final advice, before making a move, just come to Costa Rica, spend a few days and decide. There are more very nice locations in Costa Rica but in this video just wanted to refer to these 2 located in the biggest city in all Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Trip: part 1
This is the beginning of my trip to Costa Rica. I filmed parts of the airplane ride. I flew from Louisville KY, to Dallas TX, and then to San Jose, Costa Rica. I'm going with a group and a tour guide. I also collected some of their currency. The trip was about 3 weeks ago.
Costa Rica- Best Vacation in the World!
PlayersClubTours.com
Best of Costa Rica in 8 Days - April 23rd- 30th, 2013
San Jose, La Fortuna- Hot Springs, Los Sueños
& Manuel Antonio National Park
Experience the best Costa Rica has to Offer. This adventure will take us through the capitol's hidden charms and colonial flourishes and into the mountains of the interior, passing bubbling volcanoes, hot springs, tranquil cloud forests and ending in the most beautiful national park you've ever encountered. Call us Today! 1-866-YOU-TOUR
Touching down in the sprawling capitol city of Costa Rica can be a shock for the senses, but there is plenty to do here before embarking onto greener pastures. Here we will settle in one of the finest Hotels in the city the Hotel Grano de Oro.* The open air central courtyard restaurant within the hotel the is one of the finest in the city.
If you're in the need of a quick respite from the street crowds and tropical heat, head indoors to the Museo de Jade where you can admire centuries -old pre-Columbian jade carvings. Architecture and culture buffs alike shouldn't miss out on the Teatro Nacional, a stunning colonial construction that is the beating heart of San Jose's theater scene.
Day 2: Hot Rocks- La Fortuna
Just a few hour Tour Bus drive away on the base of the Volcano Arenal , the tourist friendly town of La Fortuna is a world away from the hustle and bustle of San Jose'. Here we will check into the Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort.*
Your first destination is obvious, namely the dark and brooding volcano in the distance Volcan Arenal. Ample daylight is conductive to long hikes through the surrounding forests, while nighttime allows for stunning views of exploding Lava showers!!
With a cocktail in hand we will head to one of the many therapeutic Hot Springs to relax as the steam rollings into the air. It won't take long to understand the Pura Vida way of life that all Costa Ricans live by.
Day 3: Monteverde & Santa Elena
After you towel-dry, take a boat across the majestic Laguna de Arenal to arrive in the peaceful retreat of Monteverde and Santa Elena. This fun town comprises fun cafe's, eclectic restaurants , attractive galleries and some of the country's best ice cream. Use the morning to take one of the zip-line canopy tours here.
Of course, the main attraction is the Monteverde Cloud Forrest, where you can search for the elusive quezal. Nearby Reserva Santa Elena and the Eternal Rainforest offer equally misty cloud-forest experiences.
Day 4+5: Los Sueños
From Monteverde we will travel south along the pacific coast to Los Sueños. On the way we will stop at the infamous Tárcoles River where we will get to see the largest gathering of wild 16ft+ Crocodiles you'll ever see in your life.
We will spend a day at the luxurious Los Sueños Resort and Marina, located on Costa Rica's Central Pacific Coast, represents a world of adventure, excitement, incredible landscapes and lush rainforest. It also represents home to many looking for unsurpassed luxury. Los Sueños is undoubtedly the place to be to experience a truly unique and exclusive residential community with vibrant tropical surroundings.
Day 6+7: Manuel Antonio National Park & Quepos
In this Tico town the jungle meets the sea and you will realize again what the locals mean by PURA VIDA. This tranquil town along the coast you will see the rare three toed sloths descend from the tree tops and monkeys frolicking in troops along the palm-fringed coastline. If you want to get a monkeys-eye view, arrange a guided tour to the nearby Rainmaker Aerial Walkway, which lets you stroll from platform to platform across the treetop canopy.
Manuel Antonio offers a variety of options from a nice relaxing day at the beach to an adventurous day exploring the jungles. The Pacific Ocean in front of Manuel Antonio Park is also world renowned for its fishing. From November to April it is not uncommon for a typical angler to release multiple billfish in the over 100 pound range This place is always a favorite among visitors to Costa Rica
Day 8: Saying Adio's
Jump on the tour bus to head back to San Jose in time to connect with your departing flight home.
Costa Rica: Grecia Tour - International Living
Video Tour of Grecia, Costa Rica
In the heart of Costa Rica's Central Valley is Grecia, a charming town of about 16,000. Like the rest of the Central Valley, Grecia has an ideal spring-like climate and enjoys quick access to the capital of Costa Rica, San José. There you can find the best medical care and shopping in the country, as well as the main international airport.
Life in Grecia is relaxed and features quiet rural areas outside a bustling city center. That slower pace of life has attracted many expats, as have the excellent mountain and valley views from homes on the hills and ridges surrounding the town. Valley-view homes with North American amenities in Grecia communities like El Cajon or San Isidro can be found for less than $150,000.
In this video, International Living Costa Rica editor Jason Holland gives a tour of Grecia's city center and the surrounding area, which includes small villages and agricultural areas.

A day in the Van Life in El Salvador // Wild Camping inside Laguna Alegria volcanic crater!
Support us on Patreon
In this episode, we will take you along with us to Laguna Alegria, also known as the Emerald of Central America. The laguna is inside the crater of the now dormant volcano Tecapa. The laguna grows a brilliant green especially in bright sunlight, which is caused by the sulfur and other minerals found in the craters volcanic clay.
The town of Alegria is lying on the slopes of the volcano Tecapa, at an altitude of 1,300 meters above the sea level. What makes it one of the cities more fresh from the country. This has allowed the cultivation of coffee and other plants that do not occur in many parts of El Salvador.
Best wild camping in El Salvador so far.

San Jose Bites and Sights Tour - Costa Rica!
A big thanks to GetYourGuide.com for providing this food and historical tour of San Jose, Costa Rica. Ernesto from Urban Adventures was our guide, a very knowledgable young man who showed us the Central Market and the Borbon food market, along with many of the historical buildings and locations in the city.
We had such a great time tasting fruit we've never seen before, had a great cup of coffee, learned a lot about the history of San Jose, and saw much of the city that we hadn't seen before. Ernesto was a fantastic guide, even showed us a place to eat for lunch after the tour that was very good, Costa Rican food.

ABOUT THE EPISODE:
Sometimes, when living in a van, it can be tough to find good ways to pass the time. Once you have gotten to your next beautiful location, you don't have a whole lot to do (which tbh, isn't horrible). But we've found something that is literally the PERFECT Van Life pastime, and that is... snorkeling! We recently bought snorkel gear, and we're so excited to use it as much as possible. Living in a van just got a whole lot more interesting. ????

About The Matneys:
We're Christian and Aubry, a couple traveling North and South America in our converted Sprinter Van. On The Matneys, we love chatting about the reality of living in a van, what van life allows us to do, and how traveling to new places with new cultures can really open your eyes to so much about the world, our own country, and ourselves. Our little home is simple, but it takes us to the most magical paradises in the world.
