Visiting The Coyote Point Recreation Area (8-3-15)
In this video, it shows me, Richie and my sis visit the Coyote Point Recreation Area located around San Mateo, CA. The water looked a bit choppy and murky...I guess that's how the bay's water looks like naturally. It's a nice beach though since I could see San Francisco from a distance. A few planes were also seen flying quite low overhead as they approached the San Francisco International Airport nearby. What caused us to visit this place? We were actually doing a beach-hopping trip along the coastline of California since we were looking for a decent place for our family's Labor Day outing. This was actually our very first stop...
Summary of our beach-hopping trip:
Our trip basically covered all the coastline between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz, CA. I was with my sis and Richie. This day, we were looking for a nice beach for our family's Labor Day outing. We got tired of the typical Seacliff State Beach. So this day of Monday, August 3, 2015, we headed out in search of a good area. The weather was beautiful out. Normally, it's foggy or cloudy during the summertime here. Anyways, after checking out quite a few beaches along the road, we finally chose the Natural Bridges State Beach located around Santa Cruz, CA as our spot for our family's Labor Day outing destination, taking note that Labor Day was to be on September 7, 2015 this year. This beach was something new other than the typical Seacliff State Beach we always go to. It's good to check out and explore new places...

Took my quad out to the park near my home today. It was quite windy everywhere above 20 feet, but still a good time!
If you look really close, you can see San Francisco out there across the bay! Better footage coming soon!

San Mateo County - Purisima Creek Redwoods Hike
Savor a hike in the shade of redwoods. They grow in a canyon created by the “most pure” Purisima Creek. There are a lot of interesting surprises along the way. Get a workout climbing to Bald Knob but trees now obscure the views. Wildflowers in the spring & big leaf maples in the fall add touches of color.
san mateo creek
The San Mateo Creek in the San Onofre State Park is currently seriously threatened by the proposed destruction of 60% of the park's land which would put a 6-lane toll road along the creek's watershed and also cross over it. The infrastructure and additional traffic and development associated with the road poses a serious risk to this sensitive and unique southern Californian habitat. For more information, and to vocalize your opposition to this potential theft of public open space by special interests groups, please visit savesanonofre.com and join as a public opponent to the Toll Road to Nowhere.

An Afternoon In The Golden Gate park *
At the very end of our summer trip we end up in San Francisco to leave the RV so with a few hours to spend in San Francisco we decided to take a visit to the Golden Gate Park. Being so big we only have time for the Japanese tea Garden and a little walk in the park. In Fact I don’t think we made 10% of this park.
Golden Gate Park is a 412-hectare American wilderness area (4.5 km2, approximately 5 km by 800 meters) located in San Francisco, California.
It is the largest park in the city and its area exceeds that of Central Park New York. It is administered by the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department and ranks as the third most visited public park in the United States

San Clemente San Mateo San Onofre Beach Camping Trip
San Clemente San Mateo San Onofre Beach Camping Trip August 2018
We were all packed up on our way to San Clemente CA but there was a Mix Up in our Reservations and for some reason our order didn't get totally completed on the website apparently.
They said we can come back tomorrow and they will have a lottery for the other people that also wasn't able to get in. They said we can find a nearby hotel or if we still wanted to go camping to possibly try San Mateo campground, it's nearby Camp Pendleton, about a mile from the beach, but we had no choice, and we made the most of our trip. You have to find a spot not marked and put your credit card into the machine.
We Quickly made our tent and unloaded for the night. Alex made a delicious dinner of Tri Trip while I made salad.
We had some marshmallows as we watched the campfire, and then snuggled into bed, praying we were going to get a spot tomorrow in San Clemente.
San Mateo Review:
Good campground, but due to being 1 mile from beach, noise from nearby base, and no canopies I think San Clemente is Better, but this was a good alternative since we wanted to go camping instead of hitting a hotel.
If You're interested in staying there and would like to make a reservation, here's their contact information.

We were in a lottery this morning at 10am and got in. YEY, the other 5 in the lottery got in too! Then we had to go back to San Mateo, pack our stuff and tear down our Coleman WeatherMaster Tent and reassemble it back in San Clemente Campground. It's a Great tent, one of the best tents we've used. It's a cheap camping tent, but also large and can be considered a Family Camping Tent. Large enough for 6 Persons. We can assemble the WeatherMaster tent so fast now, with all the extra practice we got this, LOL!
We got a late start but by 4pm, we were all set, our tent was up, our bags unpacked, we replied to our emails & voicemails, and by 6pm we were off to Watch the Sunset off San Clemente Beach.
It's a short walk to go to San Clemente Beach from our Campsite, but after our day, we decided to drive down there instead. BTW you get Free Beach Parking on all the State Beaches with your marked Camping Pass.
The San Clemente Weather Was Perfect and we enjoyed checking out the Surfers at Cottons. They were catching some nice big waves. The people living there are so lucky, they have a gym in their own back yard.
We then had a nice dinner at The Fishermans Restaurant and Bar located on the San Clemente Pier. It's one of the Best San Clemente Restaurants and they have 2 sides. We've sat at the Fancier side as well, however we decided to do the casual dining side and you can choose where to sit. Of course we chose the table closest to the surf. When there are high tides you can literally feel the whole pier shake and you might even get your ankle splashed. It's pretty cool and I would recommend going there also if you're looking for San Clemente Attractions. We then headed back to our camp and called it a night.
We Had Such a Great Time at San Clemente State Beach Campground, however it was time to leave, we packed up and took one last look over the cliff and headed out to San Onofre Beach, where we can park our truck and still have fun at the beach.
Since we stayed at San Clemente State Beach Campground, we get Free Parking on all the State Beaches with your marked Camping Pass.
The San Onofre Weather Was Perfect and we enjoyed the water, but as you can see, it is rocky. In fact, funny story, last year I broke my toe because my foot got lodged perfectly between two rocks, LOL.
The beach is very cool though, but there isn't much parking spots, as it is a highly popular surf beach. At the the Turnabout, One car goes out, one car goes in. We usually wait about 20 to 30 minutes to get in, so be prepared to be patient. But you will have a blast.
