LOCATION

Cramond is one of the citys most sought after areas and, despite its
quiet, leafy and rural surroundings, lies within easy reach of the city
centre. There are excellent local facilities to hand including a good
selection of shops close by, supplemented by more extensive facilities
in nearby Davidsons Mains and Blackhall. The area is also served by a

known golf courses. There are a number of woodland walks close by

19th june 2010 the edinburgh moonwalk saw over 10,000 women walk 26.4 lies in aid of breast cancer charity. truely a fantastic event. Start around midnight the field were back at base some 6 and a half hours after the kick off. the route took in the heights of Aurthur's seat and the costal fringes of cramond, leith and portobello, before returning through the old and new towns to inverleith park . Fantastic overnight conditions produced breath taking vistas . Sunrise just after 3 warmed the foreshore of granton and beyond. FANTASTIC EVENT WE WOULD ENCOURAGE ALL TO RETURN NEXT YEAR AND BRING ALONG A FREIND !

I've always enjoyed metal detecting ever since l bought my first white's classic 20+ years ago.

Today I still enjoy metal detecting like the first day I started, I quite often head on to the foreshore, local beaches and a regular at our local detecting club.

pilot whale

Attempts are under way to rescue a pilot whale which has become stranded to the north of Edinburgh.

The alarm was raised after the animal was spotted on the foreshore at Gypsy Brae, in the Silverknowes area of the city.

A team from British Divers Marine Rescue has been at the scene for several hours.

Experts believe the whale swam into the shore after becoming disorientated
The whale, which is swimming in waist-deep water close to land, is believed to have suffered a crushed lung.
