Big Jesus Cross on I-70 in Illinois - Largest in USA - #Cross at the Crossroads. USA Road Trip Video: #USA #Roadtrip Brings new meaning to the holy scriptures and whomever undertook this project... Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. - Matthew 10:38. This was just an amazing sight. We were herading to the Blessed Hope 1st Annual Prophecy Conference in Oklahoma back in October of 2017 and came across this huge cross along interstae 70 in IL. It is called the cross at the crossroads, for it is where the 70 and interstate 57 cross or merge, well split in our case. It is a sight to see. Wish we could have stopped, for it looks like a lot to check out at the base of the statue or monument to God. Location, route 70 in Effingham, Illinois
Lording over Interstate highways 57 and 70, the Cross at the Crossroads was built for broadly noble religious reasons -- and to out-size every other big American cross out there, especially the giant cross in Groom, Texas, which was both its inspiration and its toughest competition. It is the largest cross in the USA. That is huge! Source - --- What a roadtrip we had and you see things you never knew existed. The largest cross in America. A huge cross along the road in Illinois!
Giant cross at the side of the highway in Effingham Illinois.
Apparently this is the biggest cross in the U.S. It's kind of ridiculous. If you're driving down that stretch of the interstate there's no way you could miss it. You think it's pretty big when you first sopt it, but you keep getting closer and it keeps getting bigger.
