Established in 1967, named the Museum of Biblical Art in 1999, the MBA, is an art museum in Dallas, Texas that is unlike any museum in the world. It has a simple mission: To display art with a Biblical theme. Nothing of its size exists in the United States, making it a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. Diverse types of art are exhibited including bronze sculpture installations, drawings, fine prints, and oil paintings. Specialized galleries have been created for Biblical Archaeology, Jewish Art, Religious Architecture, Israeli Art, African American Art and Hispanic Art.
The Museum is a cultural crossroads, utilizing art for tolerance and understanding reflected in the various archaeological exhibits and decorative art from Israel and the Holy Land. The MBA's vision encompasses the classical arts with a call to beauty which emphasizes the Biblical figurative art illustrating the narratives of the Bible and a call to the study of classical Greco-Roman art, archaeology and architecture.

JFK Assassination Dallas, Tx. Museum
On our RV trips to Texas, we had to stop by Dallas. We all LOVe museums, and I've been a BIG buff of the JFK Assassination. I've always wanted to go and tour his site, Ive watched all the videos I could get me hands onto! We went to the Texas book Consevatory on the 6th Floor of the museum. I love how the fulltime RV life affords us these opportunities to travel and check out cool places! There are a TON of artifacts, pictures, and videos to see. They even have a 7th floor to check out, but unfortunately we ran out of time! So plan to be there for the day! Whether you believe the conspiracies about Oswald or not...you'll enjoy yourself!
There is alot of talk about his son JFK Jr. and is he alive??? Well, not sure on that one, but I have heard about the Q movement!
Here's the link to the LIVE Dealey Plaza Webcam:
Here is their website where we purchased tickets in advance!
Remember that they have their own parking, just drive past the Texas book Conservatory and it's on the right!

Living in Uptown / Downtown | The Best Neighborhoods in Dallas
Uptown is an upscale neighborhood in Dallas, Texas that is adjacent-to and north-of downtown Dallas. Bordered by US 75 (Central Expressway) on the east, N Haskell Avenue on the northeast, Katy Trail on the northwest, Bookhout Street and Cedar Springs Road on the west, N Akard Street on the southwest and Woodall Rodgers Freeway on the south.
Nowhere else in Dallas can prospective homebuyers find the wide variety of quality housing options found than in Uptown, with its luxury townhomes, condominiums and even historic homes for sale. Popular with a diverse group of young professionals, multi-use development is the norm and an increasingly pedestrian culture continues to thrive. Every weekend and even on many weekday evenings, hundreds of people walk the well-lit, tree-lined sidewalks from restaurant to restaurant, from home to the gym, from work and home to shops and public transit via the McKinney Avenue Trolley. Uptown is one of the most pedestrian-friendly areas in all of Texas. The district is home to a variety of office buildings, residential towers, apartment complexes, retail centers, nightlife strips and hotels. This mixed-use development practice lends to what many people identify as a very urban lifestyle, unlike the compartmentalized social structures of suburban bedroom communities and office parks.
Add to that the wide variety of shopping and dining opportunities and exceptional cultural and recreational facilities in or immediately adjacent to Uptown -- from the Katy Trail to the AT&T Performing Arts Center and American Airlines Center and Uptown Dallas is one of the most popular upscale neighborhoods in Dallas.
Uptown Dallas has some of the most inspiring live performance theaters and art galleries in Dallas including Kitchen Dog Theater, Landmark's Magnolia Theatre, The McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC) and Theatre Three. A few blocks south is The Arts District in Downtown Dallas which is home to 13 facilities and organizations including The Annette Strauss Artist Square, the Belo Mansion/Dallas Bar Association, Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Theater Center, Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, Nasher Sculpture Center, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Fellowship Church, Trammell Crow Center, and the Trammell & Margaret Crow Collection of Asian Art. Voices on Art-Dallas Museum of Art-Artist Talk: Runo Lagomarsino
On September 26, 2018, for our series Voices on Art, Art This Week Productions, in collaboration with the Dallas Museum of Art, recorded this conversation between artist Runo Lagomarsino and DMA curator Katherine Brodbeck. They discuss his art including work found in the exhibition Concentrations 61: Runo Lagomarsino, EntreMundos.
From the MFAH website–“Concentrations 61 is the first solo museum exhibition for Runo Lagomarsino, a conceptual artist of Italian and Argentine descent who lives and works in Malmö, Sweden, and São Paulo, Brazil. Join DMA curator Katherine Brodbeck as she talks with Lagomarsino about the exhibition and how it relates to his other work.
Concentrations 61 spans two galleries and features new commissions and previous works that have been specifically reformatted for the DMA. Transforming everyday objects and phrases into historically referential works of art, Lagomarsino considers the unstable nature of national identities, histories of imperialism, and political turmoil in the United States.”
Thanks to Runo, Katherine and the DMA for allowing us to film the talk.
