There are variety of different stores whether it's clothes, phone, or perfume. The area is super nice and simple with a friendly staff inside. It's even good for just hanging around or to do some good heavy shopping.

Danbury CT - 2019
Danbury CT may be a small city, but it has big things to offer. This Fairfield County city of 80,000 provides the best of both worlds to those who call it home. You can be in the heart of New York City in just over an hour or find yourself climbing the Berkshire Mountains just outside your door.
Within the city itself, you’ll find endless entertainment. In downtown Danbury, tree-lined streets along with a bustling CityCenter development are home to an array of events, eateries and businesses. CityCenter hosts regular farmers markets and outdoor concerts in the warmer months and many cultural opportunities. There’s also a lot of great new restaurants popping up in the city.
Danbury Fair, the largest regional shopping mall in New England, offers more than 200 shops and services in a convenient location. And if you’re looking for something unique, check out the specialty shops, flea markets and antique stores along the Route 7 corridor.
Home to numerous trails, more than a dozen parks and Connecticut’s largest lake, Candlewood Lake, venturing into the great outdoors is a breeze for Danbury residents. You can easily enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, boating and much, much more. The city’s Stanley L. Richter Memorial Park even includes a 19-hole golf course, one of the best rated municipal golf courses in the country, as well as tennis courts and an outdoor theater. Tarrywile Park, which at 722 acres is the largest urban park in the state, offers a peek inside a gorgeous 23-room Victorian mansion located on the property as well as opportunities to enjoy the gardens, ponds and picnic tables on the grounds.
Often referred to as the “Gateway to New England,” Danbury has plenty of job opportunities for its residents. With easy access to I-84, a location on the border of New York, and affordable prices, Danbury has drawn a lot of diverse companies to the city.

Danbury Fair Mall Parking Garage Tour - Danbury CT
Went here years ago on a field trip but never got to drive in the garage myself. So 6 years later, I'm back here to do a full tour of this place. This garage is ugly with the way they do their steel beams, but they got a bunch of side by sides so its kind of fun to drive around in.

Therefore, I have outlined the perfect itinerary for you–the route, timeline, best stops, it's all been outlined and ruggedly trail tested by yours truly and assembled into this handy video and downloadable companion guide (link above). Prep
Pack snacks, water, diaper supplies, change of clothes, coffee. Load up podcasts.
Park
Park by main entrance, load stroller, approach ramp, enter double doors. You are on Level 2. Turn left.
Danbury Lego Store
10:00am sharp. Your longest stop. 30 minutes. Try out new products. Build a custom mini-figure.
Family Facilities
10:30am. Leave Lego Store. Continue down corridor, around balcony overlook, through Food Court to Family Facilities. Regroup. Wash hands.
Car and Truck Play
10:40am. Flow directly into the mini car and truck play area outside facilities. 5 minutes.
Danbury Fair Play Area
10:45am. Tackle the main play area. Enjoy the soft structures. Pro Tip: Keep eye on possible lunch break of carousel operator.
Danbury Fair Carousel
11:00am Your children will naturally flow into the carousel. $3* per child. Get a punch card. Ride. Enjoy atrium view. Get hand stamp.
Note: the carousel operator takes a lunch at different times. Check when you arrive to the play area to see if a lunch is happening soon and adapt accordingly.
Education Works
11:15am. Next to the carousel is Education Works. Individual train pieces, trucks, neat toys.
Lunch at Chick-Fil-A
11:30am. At this point your children will be hungry. No problem. Flow to Chick-Fil-A. Friendly staff, great kid meals. Pro-Tip: park by the garbage cans for quick exit.
Facilities
If you didn’t visit the facilities just before lunch, stop by again before leaving this area. These are the most easily accessible facilities in the mall.
Danbury Build-A-Bear
Noon. Quick Stop at the Build-a-Bear Workshop to view the fluffing machine.
Elevator
12:10pm. Take the glass elevator in the center of the mall to Level 1.
Danbury Fair Train Ride
12:15pm. Elevator doors open directly to the trains. $3* per child, one loop. Feel the breeze.
Rest and Snack
12:30pm. By this point your kids will be tired again. Enjoy those snacks you brought in the level one café area. Water feature. View.
Elevator
12:40pm. Take that glass elevator back up to the action of Level 2. Head toward the initial corridor you entered.
Danbury Disney Store
12:45pm. Your final stop. Across from the Lego Store. Chill out in the gazebo and pick out movie clips on the big screen.
Departure
12:55pm. Kids are happy, but tired. Gather belongings and head back to the parking lot.
The Ride Home
1:00pm. Load up the kids, the podcasts, and get your coffee accessible for a smooth, quiet ride home.

With two little kids, I typically spend about $25 for a trip to the mall. That includes two tickets to the carousel ($3 each), two tickets on the train ($3), and two kids meals ($12-$13). I bring my own lunch or eat their leftovers. Parents ride free on train and carousel.

Danbury CT will start working with ICE
Well, some more good news from the illegal immigration battlefield. Danbury CT Police will start inquiring about the immigration status of people that they arrest. Seems like a lot of towns and cities are starting to take this approach as the illegal immigration problems get more serious by the day.

Westfield Trumbull - Raw & Real Retail
This is our walkthrough of the Westfield Trumbull mall in Trumbull, CT from January 22, 2019. This is a big, thriving mall in southern Connecticut. It has an interesting non-traditional design layout. Rather than a square, rectangle, circle, or bent line, the corridors of this mall have been laid out in a pattern more like a square house with an arched roof on its side. The decor is and cozy and has a decent range of color to it. This mall felt good to walk around.

Construction commenced on the Nutmeg State's first fully-enclosed shopping mall in September 1962. Trumbull Shopping Park was built on a 66 acre site, located 6.7 miles northwest of downtown Bridgeport, in the bedroom community of Trumbull. Developed by Connecticut's Jack Frouge, the 2-level retail facility encompassed 750,000 leasable square feet and 57 stores and services. At its north end was a 3-level anchor structure. A (170,000 square foot) E.J. Korvette discount mart occupied its 2 upper levels. This store held its grand opening November 20, 1963. A Waldbaum's supermarket was situated in the lower level.
The south end of the complex was anchored by a 3-level (220,000 square foot), Bridgeport-based D.M. Read, which was dedicated September 12, 1964. The mall's parking area included a kiddie ride area and freestanding United Artists Trumbull Theatre, its first feature in December 1965.
The first expansion of Trumbull Shopping Park was done in the early 1970s, when a 2-level, north-south corridor was added to the east-facing facade. In 1977, Trumbull Shopping Park was acquired by Westfield Holdings, becoming the first shopping mall in the United States owned by that company.
Westfield did an interior renovation, using a nostalgic Antique Americana theme. Several vintage relics were acquired, such as gas street lamps, church pews, weathered beams, posts and an antique horse carriage. A stairway connecting the Upper and Lower Malls featured railing from the Vanderbuilt mansion on Long Island.
Moreover, state flags were hung from the ceiling of the Constitution Mall, accented by hand-carved state seals and portraits of United States Presidents. Several stores were also retro-remodeled and a large spread of stained glass installed over the mall's Main Entrance. The project was completed in December 1977.
Renovation resumed in the following year. Korvettes and the Waldbaum's were converted into a 3-level (201,000 square ft), Hartford-based G. Fox. It was rebranded by Boston-based Filene's [fiy-leenz] in January 1993.
Meanwhile, a third expansion of Trumbull Shopping Park had been built. Its first phase, a multilevel parking garage, was constructed at the mall's southwest corner and was completed in December 1985. Phase Two added a 2-story West Wing, anchored by a 2-level (154,800 square foot) J.C. Penney. This store held its grand opening May 6, 1987.
Later in 1987, Read's was merged with another Allied Stores division, Boston-based Jordan Marsh. The Jordan's at Trumbull Shopping Park morphed into a New York City-based Abraham & Straus in April 1992 and was Macy-ated in April 1995. A fourth mall expansion had been done in 1992-1993. This East Wing project added eleven inline stores and a 2-level (114,000 square foot) Lord & Taylor.
On November 21, 1998, the name of the complex was changed to Westfield Shoppingtown Trumbull. This would be truncated to Westfield Trumbull in June 2005. However, whatever official name was bestowed, locals continued to refer to the retail hub as the Trumbull Mall.
With the dissolution of Filene's in September 2006, Macy's moved from the south anchor space at Westfield Trumbull into the north. The old Read's building was demolished in 2007. It was replaced by a 2-level (190,000 square foot) Target.
The new discount store was the first stage of a major renovation. A 35 million dollar face lift commenced in the fall of 2009. It included new interior decor, flooring, skylights, an 11-bay Dining Terrace and remodeled Main Entrance. A re-dedication was held on November 19, 2010. The shopping center now spanned 1,130,600 leasable square feet, with a tenant roster of 168 stores and services.
