Partners in Crime's David Walliams, Hilary Bevan Jones & Edward Hall
Billed as a classic whodunit with a contemporary twist, Partners in Crime is the latest TV adaptation from the works of the legendary Agatha Christie. The crime thriller series, set in 1950s Britain, stars David Walliams (Little Britain, Big School) and Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife, Wolf Hall) as amateur detectives Tommy and Tuppence, respectively. Together they investigate a world of murder, undercover agents and Soviet conspiracies. The new show is set to launch on BBC One next Sunday, and all3media international is handling the worldwide distribution. The series, which will make its U.S. debut on Acorn TV on September 3, is produced by Endor Productions and Agatha Christie Productions and co-funded by U.S.-based RLJ Entertainment/Acorn.
In this video interview, TV Drama Weekly's Anna Carugati speaks to Walliams, as well as executive producer Hilary Bevan Jones (Roald Dahl's Esio Trot, State of Play) and director Edward Hall (Restless, Downton Abbey), about the project.
