My first ever SOTA activation
This is a short video of my first ever 'Summits on the Air' (SOTA) activation, conducted on 3rd March, 2013, at VK5/SE-016, situated on the Fleurieu Peninsula, south of Delamere, near the Deep Creek Conservation Park. Stations worked were:- Peter VK3PF; Rhett VK3GHZ; Steve VK3MEG; Dave VK3VCE; Allen VK3HRA; Peter VK3ZPF; & Peter VK3FPSR. Operating on 7.090 MHZ on the 40 m band. I was using just 5 watts from a Yaesu FT-817ND, with the internal batteries, and a multi band vertical antenna. Photos/filmed on my iphone 5.

A wonderful holding of close to 26.7Ha or 65 acres of stunning rural land with views to the Southern Ocean, Kangaroo Island, the dramatic landscape of Deep Creek and Talisker Conservation Parks and with open grazing land and native vegetation is available on Blow Hole Beach Road via Delamere.

Multiple power connection sites, a plethora of building sites, about half the property is native vegetation, prime high rainfall grazing land, sizable road frontage allowing to access to the perfect building site, stock water via the established dam, over the road from Deep Creek Conservation Park and so, so close to the Kangaroo Island tourist trail.

The Gruffalo Spotter App & Forestry Commission Trails
The Gruffalo Spotter is an augmented reality app designed for exclusive use on Gruffalo Spotters trails at 26 Forestry Commission England site from 20th February 2017.
The self-led trails are packed with fun facts about forest animals with fantastic activities along the way. Once families have spotted the characters, they can use the app to bring the 3D character animation to life and take photos alongside them.
