Great Mosque Of Central Java Semarang In The Morning
The mosque complex covers 10 hectares (25 acres). There are three central buildings arranged in the shape of a U, with the domed mosque at the center; all buildings have pitched, tiled roofs, while the central mosque has four minarets. The central roof resembles the roof of a joglo, the traditional Javanese house, and symbolize the rising steps toward heaven or to gain God's blessing. The long buildings forming the arms of the U house a library and auditorium respectively;[2] the auditorium can hold up to 2,000 people.[1]
In the central courtyard are six large hydraulically operated umbrellas, inspired by the ones at Al-Masjid al-Nabawi in Medina, which are used to protect worshipers;[2] the six umbrellas represent the six tenets of iman.[3] More than 15,000 worshipers can fit in the 7,669-square-metre (82,550 sq ft) prayer area.[2][4] At the open end of the U is a series of Arabic-style arches, with Arabic calligraphs of 99 attributes of Allah, stood on 25 pillars, each representing one of the named prophets in Islam.[3] Beyond the arches is an inscription on a 3.2-metre (10 ft) tall, 7.8 ton stone from Mount Merapi, designed by Nyoman M. Alim.[1][3]
Nearby is the 99-metre (325 ft) tall Asmaul Husna Tower, designed to resemble the minaret of a mosque in Kudus; the height represents the 99 attributes of Allah.[5] Used for calling Muslims to prayer, the tower also houses a radio station for dakwah and museum at its base and restaurant and observation deck near its summit.[2][5] The upper levels are accessible by lift.[6] On premises there is also a 23-room hotel. Masjid Gede Kauman dibangun pada masa Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I oleh seorang arsitek bernama K. Wiryokusumo. Masjid ini dibangun pada hari Ahad Wage, 29 Mei 1773 M atau 6 Robi’ul Akhir 1187 H. Namun tidak seperti masjid lain, masjid ini memiliki bangunan yang disebut pagongan, yang biasanya digunakan sebagai tempat meletakkan gamelan pada saat sekaten. Sekaten adalah upacara untuk memperingati tanggal lahir Nabi Muhammad SAW.
Masjid ini juga terkenal karena arsitekturnya yang unik. Didesain oleh seorang arsitek bernama Kyai Wiryokusumo, salah satu fitur utama masjid ini adalah langit-langit artistiknya yang rumit dan ukiran yang unik. Untuk satu, itu adalah masjid tertua di kota dan salah satu yang tertua di Indonesia. Itu juga memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam sejarah Islam di negara ini.

Masjid Gede Kauman was built during the Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I by an architect named K. Wiryokusumo. This mosque was built on Sunday Wage, 29 May 1773 AD or 6 Robi’ul Akhir 1187 H. But unlike other mosques, this mosque has a building called pagongan, which is usually used as a place to put the gamelan at the time of sekaten. Sekaten is a ceremony to commemorate a date of birth Nabi Muhammad SAW.
This mosque is also notable for its unique architecture. Designed by an architect named Kyai Wiryokusumo, one of the main features of the mosque is its intricately artistic ceiling and unique carvings. For one, it is the oldest mosque in the city and one of the oldest in Indonesia. It also played a very important role in the history of Islam in the country.

Masjid Jawa atau Jawa Mosque adalah masjid berusia lebih dari 100 tahun di Bangkok atau tepatnya berada di Jalan Soi Charoen Rat 1 Yaek 9, Sathorn, Bangkok, Thailand.
Masjid ini disebut masjid Jawa karena memang didirikan oleh orang Jawa di Bangkok. Masjid ini didirikan di atas tanah wakaf milik Haji Muhammad Saleh, perantauan dari Jawa yang juga mertua dari KH Ahmad Dahlan, pendiri Muhammadiyah pada tahun 2448 dalam tahun Thailand atau sekitar tahun 1906.
Pembangunan masjid tersebut pada awalnya bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi tempat ibadah bagi para Muslim asal Jawa yang bekerja di Thailand.
Arsitektur Jawa langsung terasa begitu melihat atap masjid. Atapnya tidak memiliki kubah sebagaimana halnya kebanyakan masjid. Namun beratapkan limas bersusun tiga seperti Masjid Demak yang menunjukkan adanya akulturasi kebudayaan antara Islam dan Hindu di Jawa.
Cheng Ho Historical Mosque - Surabaya - East Java
The Architecture of Muhammad Cheng Hoo Mosque, which located in Gading Street Surabaya, is enough artistic.
