Belfair Campground Pt 2 - Washington Traveloque
Belfair is one of the camping state park situated along the Hood Canal. It is an hour drive from Seattle crossing the Tacoma Narrow Bridge. We stay at the tree loop camping section for two nights. Our spot was right along the creek which drains into the Hood Canal. when the tides go down, the shores are loaded with natural oysters and clams. It is very popular with the oyster enthusiast. I personally called this place the oysters palace due to what seems like mountains of oysters piling on top of each other when the tides go down. This park is very kid friendly, not much hiking trails at the park itself. There were a hiking trails that we went to right by Belfair city, called the Theller wetland trails.
Coal Creek Falls (Washington State)
July of 2010. This was such a nice little hike. Just a short ways from Bellevue, Washington, the hike to the falls and back was really quick and easy. Great hike for kids and dogs. Most people with dogs couldn't help but let the dogs off to play in the water, although you're probably not supposed to do that.

Bike Free in Iowa - Alden to Fort Dodge
To dream the impossible dream.
ABOUT BIKE FREE
Pedaling more than 5,000 miles from Maryland's Chesapeake Bay to the California coast, bicyclists Paul Lebelle and Adam Burkowske have joined the movement to share the goodness of cycling with kids -- specifically, the kids of our military families.
Paul and Adam started Bike Free (bikefree.org), a non-profit charity, whose goal is to get 1,000 bikes and helmets to military kids.
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have taken a heavy toll on kids growing up in military families. Parents come back wounded or don't come back at all. Kids are also facing parents' multiple deployments, says Adam.
We know that being outside in the fresh air, sunshine, and having physical activity is not only good for your health, but also raises your spirit, says Paul.
Both Paul and Adam's families have military backgrounds. Adam's brother served on the USS George Washington and is now stationed in San Diego. One of Paul's grandfathers graduated from the Naval Academy and captained submarines. Paul's other grandfather was former NY Giants Kyle Rote whose older brother, Jack, sacrificed his life at Iwo Jima and received the Purple Heart.
Bringing the joy, freedom, and fun of riding a bicycle to a kid who needs a good bike ride is what Bike Free is all about.
For further information or to help support their mission, Paul and Adam can be reached through the Bike Free website, bikefree.org.

EPIC DRONE CRASH ABOVE GREEN RIVER GORGE in WASHINGTON STATE
Very sad to post this video, I crashed my Yuneec Typhoon H drone flying above the Green River Gorge near Seattle. I've been having some GPS issues where it has trouble locking onto a signal, sometimes I have to take off with GPS off and then switch it on when it's only a few feet above the ground. I also get Intel RealSense error messages once in a while. I thought I was high enough above the trees, but as you can see, I wasn't. I was very lucky to find the drone, which landed near a trail next to the Green River.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Cedar Rapids /ˈsiːdər ˈræpɨdz/ is the second largest city in Iowa and is the county seat of Linn County. The city lies on both banks of the Cedar River, 20 miles (32 km) north of Iowa City and 100 miles (160 km) east of Des Moines, the state's capital and largest city. Until massive flooding in 2008, the city's government was headquartered in the Veterans Memorial Building, near the Linn County Courthouse and jail on Mays Island in the Cedar River; Cedar Rapids was one of a few cities in the world, along with Paris, France, with governmental offices on a municipal island.
A flourishing center for arts and culture in Eastern Iowa, the city is home to the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, the Paramount Theatre, Theatre Cedar Rapids, the African-American Historical Museum and Cultural Center of Iowa, and the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance. Cedar Rapids is an economic hub of the state, located in the core of the Interstate 380 Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Technology Corridor of Linn, Benton, Jones, Johnson, and Washington counties. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city population was 126,326.

Downingtown Trestle Bridge pt 2
Some friends and I explore the abandoned Downingtown Trestle Bridge. Also known as High Bridge by most of the locals, Trestle Bridge was built as a train bridge in 1901 and was abandoned in 1948.
Throughout its history there have been many recorded deaths associated with the bridge including a suicide back in the 60's.
