PROROM: Don Quixote Trailer HD
Since the death of his mom, 11-year-old Moritz lives with his aunt in Germany while his dad Michael works as a wind turbine engineer in Spain.
To cheer Moritz up, Michael invites his son to spend his holidays with him in Spain. At the airport, Moritz meets the charming Vicky, who gives him her business card when Moritz' dad is nowhere to be seen....
Michael is so caught up in his work that he has forgotten to pick up his son. Alone and terrified, Moritz runs away from the airport -- only to find himself in a bleak, parched landscape without a soul in sight! Suddenly, from out of nowhere appears a crazy old man wearing an ancient suit of armor, astride a horse that's all skin and bones, wielding a lance! He claims to be the legendary Don Quixote...
It's no wonder that Moritz is relieved when his dad finally shows up. The two decide to spend a day by the sea in memory of Moritz' late mom, but then Michael learns he must immediately go to Madrid on business.
Angered by his father's choice of priorities, Moritz has a big fight with him and runs away. He sprints through the city streets and again meets Don Quixote. Don Quixote asks the young boy if he'd like to accompany him to the sea, where a major battle awaits him and his horse Rosinante.
Meanwhile, Michael desperately searches for his son. Finding only Vicky's business card in Moritz' clothes, he calls her and she agrees to help Michael with his search. A true friendship develops between the boy and the old knight. Even after numerous incredible adventures, Moritz still isn't quite sure if Don Quixote is simply wonderful... or simply crazy.
Don Quixote shows the boy his world, where even the most common occurrence or object is revealed to have a secret and amazing side. Chivalrous but clearly eccentric, the old knight manages to get them both into serious trouble with his bumbling mistakes. He believes that Moritz' ringing cell phone is evil and destroys it...
Finally, the two friends reach Don Quixote's destination: Michael's windmill park. To Don Quixote, the windmills are enemy giants that he must once and for all defeat in the battle of all battles...
