Dexter Michigan March 15th 2012 Tornado Damage.
This is a video of the damage from the Half Mile wide F3 or EF-3 tornado that ripped through the Huron Farms neighborhood in The village of Dexter, Michigan near Ann Arbor, Michigan. Over 100 homes enured major damage and so far 15 homes have been deemed un-fixable. No serious injuries were reported and no one was killed. However, due to flooding from the tornado, a dog was killed. It was mind blowing how many help services were there. The Michigan Distaster relief was there, so was The American Red Cross as well as Allstate and State Farm. They were offering food, shelter and they were helping to rebuild. It was a quite amazing seeing this. There would be a totally destroyed house, and then there would be a house across the street missing a few shingles. There was also insulation from houses all over the trees in the area. It was fantastic that the whole city was helping to clean up.

Dexter Michigan Tornado Formation
The tornado that hit Dexter, MI forming! I was chasing cells with pretty good hail and just happened to be just north of the mesocyclone when I get the warning. I was using and Android app called PYKL3 using the VIL radar for hail tracking. It brought up a warning on the next radar refresh and so I checked the vorticity radar and noticed I was slightly north of the rotation so went to investigate. I honestly didn't believe there would end up being a tornado, just thought it would spin for a bit and stop. Nope! (It puts your location on the radar!) Got there in just the nick of time!

After filming the formation of the Dexter, MI tornado ( we raced to get closer to the tornado. We were within a few hundred yards. Yes the tornado is on the ground at this point earlier in the video you can see the surface has debris and rotation, however the condensation cloud has not yet hit the ground. The tornado had hit the road 1/4 up the road from where we were and the debris that was flying in the air were definitely pieces of a house or shed or barn or something.
Occasionally, a single storm will produce more than one twister, either simultaneously or in sequence. After a tornado, the wreckage left behind poses extra damage risks. Although nothing can be done to help tornadoes, there are actions you can take for your health and safety.
A tornado near Anadarko, Oklahoma. The satellite tornado may appearance to circuit the larger twister (hence the name), gift the air of one, copious multi-whirlpool twister. The funnel is the thin kive expanse from the cloud to the estate. A period of several sequent days with tornado outbreaks in the same universal area (spawned by manifold resist systems) is a tornado outbreak arrangement, occasionally called an spread cyclone eruption.
Knowing what to do when you see a twister, or when you hear a tornado warning, can prevent preserve you and your family. Several tornadoes are sometimes spawned from the same huge-scale storm system. Multiple tornadoes gain by the same storm utricle are referred to as a tornado family. Meanwhile, the RFD, now an area of cool superficiary winds, gin to hide around the tornado, biting off the instream of warm air which feeds the tornado. We are now under reconstruction, so please convey with us. There are many sites with cyclone data, so we are gift the substance a little different twist, with cyclone myths, tornado oddities, personal cyclone experiences, twister safety, and tornado data from each state in the US.

After the tornado sirens woke me up this morning, Dexter walks in, faces the closet door, and starts trying to howl.
