MY BIG TRIP 2019 TO TREE STATES PART 1
About my journey to Bangalore, officially known as Bengaluru, is the capital of the Indian state of Karnataka. It has a population of over ten million, making it a megacity and the third-most populous city and fifth-most populous urban agglomeration in India. It is located in southern India, on the Deccan Plateau at an elevation of over 900 m above sea level,
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), known colloquially as the Hare Krishna movement or Hare Krishnas, is a Gaudiya Vaishnava Hindu religious organisation. ISKCON was founded in 1966 in New York City by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada the Guru and spiritual master of the organization.] Its core beliefs are based on the Hindu scriptures, particularly the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatam, and the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, which has had adherents in India since the late 15th century and American and European devotees since the early 1900s in North America. In West Virginia, the Prabhupada's Palace of Gold is now a shrine for the founder, who died in 1977.
The organization was formed to spread the practice of Bhakti yoga, in which those involved (bhaktas) dedicate their thoughts and actions towards pleasing Krishna, their Supreme Lord. Its most rapid expansions in membership as of 2007 have been within India and especially after the collapse of the Soviet Union, in Russia, Ukraine, and the rest of the ex-Soviet aligned states of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. History and belief ISKCON devotees follow a disciplic line of Gaudiya Bhagavata Vaishnavas and are the largest branch of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Vaishnavism means 'worship of Vishnu', and Gauḍa refers to the area where this particular branch of Vaishnavism originated, in the Gauda region of West Bengal. Gaudiya Vaishnavism has had a following in India, especially West Bengal and Odisha, for the past five hundred years. Bhaktivedanta Swami disseminated Gaudiya Vaishnava Theology in the Western world through extensive writings and translations, including the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana), Chaitanya Charitamrita, and other scriptures. These works are now available in more than seventy languages and serve as the scriptures of ISKCON.[
ISKCON describes Krishna as the source of all the avatars of God. Thus ISKCON devotees worship Krishna as the highest form of God, svayam bhagavan, and often refer to him as the Supreme Personality of Godhead in writing, which was a phrase coined by Prabhupada in his books on the subject. To devotees, Radha represents Krishna's divine female counterpart, the original spiritual potency, and the embodiment of divine love. The individual soul is an eternal personal identity which does not ultimately merge into any formless light or void as suggested by the monistic (Advaita) schools of Hinduism. Prabhupada most frequently offers Sanatana-dharma and Varnashrama dharma as more accurate names for the religious system which accepts Vedic authority. It is a monotheistic tradition which has its roots in the theistic Vedanta traditions.
Bull Temple Bangalore, One of the oldest temples of Bangalore, Bull Temple is located in the area of Basavanagudi. Dedicated to the Nandi, the bull which is Lord Shiva’s ride, this temple attracts thousands of devotees from everywhere. The devotees from all over India as well as from outside Indian subcontinent visit to seek blessings of the Lord. The massive statue of Nandi which has been carved out a single granite rock presents a visually impressive site. Not just devotees but all kinds of tourists visit this temple to have a glimpse of this beautiful statue. The statue of Nandi is about 4.5 m in height and is 6 m long and is said to be older than the temple itself. The bull, Nandi has a small iron plate which has been placed on its head. It is said that the plate has been placed so as to prevent the statue from growing further. Built in the Dravidian style, the architecture of this temple does make for an amazing view. This temple was built during the leadership of Kempe Gowda who is known as the founder of Bangalore.
There is a legend behind this temple. According to the legend, there was a Bull that used to damage all the fields of groundnuts and peanuts which were grown in the nearby area. To appease that bull, this temple was built. It is believed that once the temple was built, that bull stopped destroying the crops. To mark this day, farmers celebrate this day with fun and vigor. The farmers of Basavangudi, organize a Groundnut Fair which is called as Kadalekai Parase in Kannada since then. Even today, the fair is being conducted near the temple and farmers participate with lots of enthusiasm. It is a good idea to visit this temple during the fair so as to experience the grandeur of this temple to its full extent.

Kiki Rockstar & Carla Tara - The World of Tantra Pt. 1 Spiral Core Energetics
Carla Tara
What is Tantra?
Tantra is such a vast subject that it's fascinating and awe-inspiring. It includes so much that it can be very confusing to the beginning student. Tantra is an art, a science, a way of life that is honest and courageous. It includes and faces squarely our sexual energy, this awesome force that some religions fear and want to suppress. It can be used to help us reach our highest potential of pleasure, and union with the divine.
To achieve this, Tantra offers a wide array of exercises using breathing, sounds, certain muscles, and the energy centers of the body. This clears blocks interfering with the movement of energy, and guides us into altered states of consciousness. There we transcend our everyday self-identification, and we get a glimpse of our true larger reality. This includes the body, and goes beyond it to include all that is. It's a state of great expansion and orgasmic pleasure that surpasses by far the short-lived ejaculatory orgasm that many are accustomed to.

Lama Tashi singing his unique multi-phonic chant
Hear Grammy nominated Lama Tashi in chanting action!
Ngawang Tashi Bapu was born on 22nd Feb 1968, in the village of Thembang, state of Arunachal Pradesh, North East India. He was born into a large farming family of three brothers and four sisters. Lama Tashi entered Drepung Loseling Monastery in June 1983. This monastery was one of the largest and most important in Tibet. After the Chinese invasion of the 1950's, the Drepung Loseling Monastery relocated to South India, where it was slowly rebuilt and now flourishes as a major center for Tibetan Buddhism. One of Lama Tashi's brothers has also studied at this monastery and received his Geshe degree (the equivalent of a doctorate in Buddhist philosophy) in 2000. An excellent student, Lama Tashi began to formally study in 1983, at the age of 15. He later perfected the Tibetan Deep Voice, a multi-phonic singing technique utilized in sacred prayer. Sixteen years later, his extraordinary abilities lead to his enthronement as Umzey, or Principal Chant Master, of Drepung Loseling Monastery.
The compassion, wisdom and vocal abilities of Lama Tashi so impressed his teachers and spiritual leaders of the monastery that in 1991 he was chosen as one of the monks to travel the world on the Sacred Music and Dance tour of 1991-1992. For 11 months, he travelled throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada performing on the tour. He is a multi-phonic chanter and has performed twice at the Carnegie Hall in New York City. Tashi has also performed with popular recording artists such as Natalie Merchant, Michael Stipe (R.E.M.), Ben Harper and Sheryl Crow. Currently, he lives in Bomdila and is the Principal of the Central Institute of Himalayan Culture Study, at Dahung in Bomdila. Affectionately known as the Singing Monk, Tashi was one of the nominees for the Best Traditional World Music category at the 2006 Grammy Awards. On his nomination, Tashi said, I do not have much knowledge of Western music although I love listening to Indian Hindi music and folk songs. In 1998, he performed with Philip Glass at the premier showing of the award winning film Kundun at Lincoln Center in New York City. In 2002, he performed with Kitaro at Denver's City Light's Pavilion.
Lama Tashi again toured North America for 19 months beginning in 1996 as part of another tour sponsored by the Drepung Loseling Institute and Richard Gere Foundation. In April 1999, he performed for H.H., the Dalai Lama in Curitiba, Brazil, alongside renowned Brazilian artists like Gilberto Gil. Later the same year, he led multi-phonic chant before H.H., the Dalai Lama at the World Festival of Sacred Music at the Hollywood Bowl in Pasadena, California and at Central Park in New York City. In December, 1999, Lama Tashi was formally appointed Umzey, or Principal Chant Master, of Drepung Loseling Monastery. The following summer he again visited the United States. He was Head Chant Master of the Monlam Chenmo (Great Prayer Festival), which was presided over by H.H., the Dalai Lama on the National Mall in Washington, D.C, before an audience of over 50,000 people. In January of 2002, Lama Tashi led the prayer as Choyang Umzey at the traditional Great Prayer Festival at Bodhgaya, India where over 250,000 people attended.
Throughout Lama Tashi's world travels, he has taught extensively and performed and recorded both independently (THE LOST CHORD, CHANT MASTERS and MEDICINE BUDDHA), and with monks of the Drepung Loseling Monastery (SACRED TIBETAN CHANTS, SOUNDS OF THE VOID,SACRED MUSIC/ SACRED DANCE and COMPASSION).

New York: the world's city, the place where everything is bigger than anywhere else, the city where each detail can become a known symbol for the entire planet.
I had this curiosity to go to an American university (N.Y.U.): it was something that I wanted to do, getting to know the Anglo-Saxon world, and more importantly the Anglo-Saxon legal system.
Sophie left France in 1996, She has practiced law as a lawyer in France and is admitted at the New York Bar, perfectly bilingual specialized in French and American law, she also works as a fiduciary for the State of New York. In New York it is always good to have several activities to survive. Sophie is also a journalist.
Going back to Manhattan, in the village, Sophie has an appointment with a potential client who creates and sells jewelry.
The village is an area that I know well. I am going to see a client. I don't know this client, she is working in the fashion and jewelry industries. She creates jewelry for celebrities and even for Michele Obama. In the United States we are at the client's services. I am going to try to be at her service and see what she exactly needs.
Catherine Angiel develops her jewelry. She needs legal advices because she is an artist first.
Sophie understands well Catherine's needs, because she is a business developer and designs jewelry herself.
I know a bunch of lawyers that are incredible artists. They create art, sculptures. My jewelry happened to be featured in magazines which has forced me to create a business around it. Sophie Pierson is interested in The Fashion, Jewelry and Luxury goods industries because she has worked for The Neiman Marcus Group, Berforf Goodman, John Hardy, AEFFE, Moschino as a brand developer & sales specialist ranked in the top ten producers.
To fight against the stress linked to an intense professional life Sophie dedicates time to listen to her body, by the regular practice of yoga. She is a certified Yoga instructor because yoga increases brain functioning and physical health. Loyal to the yoga philosophy Sophie wants to help people, businesses, media organizations, marketing and advertising reach and exceed their potential. We all need to help each other. Nobody is an island.
The wealth of New York is really about the experience that we acquire, the personal enrichment but also the knowledge.

The Revival of Authentic Yoga | Nithyananda Yoga
Put simply, Nithyananda Yoga is the revival of the Original Yoga. It is revealing to humanity the proven method or system that creates Gurus. Nithyananda Yoga is establishing the methodology that Hindus have taught for millenials; reviving the Authentic Yoga, as per Sanatana Hindu Dharma. Nithyananda Yoga is established as an authority in the field of Yoga with a curriculum for Yoga schools and teacher trainings around the world.
Nithyananda Yoga is relentlessly recovering, preserving and enriching humanity with the newly released 'Rajashekhar Vinyasa Krama', the only yoga sequence in the world with 108-traditional asanas along with their chanting of the original Sanskrit verses.
Also being revived is the ancient practices of 'Kundalini' Rajju: Yoga on the rope, and 'Shivastambha' Yoga: Seen as yoga on the pole the most authentic Source books of Yoga. It is about experiencing the powers (shaktis) of Sadashiva, exploring the different states of consciousness and the various dimensions of the Universe, directly guided by Sadashiva through The Avatar, H.H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda.
Imbeded within these ancient practices are a hidden science to awaken the Kundalini shakti, activate various energy centers and connect you to the Divine Itself, so you embody the state of Sadashiva.
Kundalini Yoga -- as Envisioned by the Ancient Yogis
Feature-length film explores kundalini yoga's origins and documents the practice of a traditionally-trained Hindu monk who attempts to follow in the footsteps of the ancient yogis. Written and produced by Swami Tadatmananda, a Sanskrit scholar, meditation practitioner, teacher of Advaita Vedanta, and founder of Arsha Bodha Center. For more information, please see:
Yogi Bhajan's Elephant Graveyard demands #IvoryCrush Day!
Yogi Bhajan's Elephant Graveyard demands #IvoryCrush day! Yogi Bhajan hoarded ivory tusks & ivory figurines in the thousands and now the world demands that Yogi Bhajan's estate destroy these objects of death!
Yogi Bhajan's estate which is handled by 3HO Foundation, needs to have an #IvoryCrush Day like the one in Times Square on Friday. The Yogi Bhajan people need to urgently crush Yogi Bhajan's hoard of Elephant tusks and ivory figurines ASAP in order to show solidarity with the worldwide community that wants to stop the global ivory market which is responsible for the death of some 30,000 elephants a year across Africa. That’s one elephant every 15 minutes, just for their tusks!
In this video you can see an example of Yogi Bhajan’s stockpile of full size elephant tusks that he adorned his private meditation room with:
Ivory crushes put poaching syndicates on notice: We will not accept the mass slaughter of wildlife and the trade in body parts and organs for profit.
The United States destroyed approximately one ton of confiscated illegal ivory, representing an estimated 60 elephants. The message was this: We will crush this trade, which is slaughtering elephants around the world, and the profits of the poachers and traffickers along with it.
The global ivory market is responsible for the death of some 30,000 elephants a year across Africa. That’s one elephant every 15 minutes, just for their tusks. While it is true that most ivory processing (carving and other treatments) and consumer sales take place in Asia, it is no longer tenable for the United States to point a finger at China even as homegrown illegal markets persist in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Technically, old ivory is allowed; new ivory is not. But it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between legal ivory acquired before the CITES ban in 1989 and the tusks of elephants killed by criminal syndicates that now dominate the illegal ivory trade. So it is essential that all confiscated ivory be destroyed and domestic ivory markets closed.
Yogi Bhajan's Elephant Graveyard!
I just saw these photos of the huge ivory Elephant tusks Yogi Bhajan adorned his private Gurdwara with Hacienda De Guru Ram Das, Espanola and it reminded me of how Yogi Bhajan tried to buy as much ivory as he could in the mid 80's before it became illegal to buy and sell the tusks of elephants, In fact YB commanded me to buy and gift to him a $3,000 ivory chess set at the LA convention center gem show around 1985. I was happy to do this for YB at the time but I came to realize what a master of lies and greed Yogi Bhajan's hoarding of dead animal parts represented.
My 30 years in the Yogi Bhajan 3HO kundalini yoga cult
Somebody says in the comments under the Ivory elephant tusk photos: I believe the tusks are very, very old and were probably a gift from someone important. It is important to note that this Gurdwara is the one at the personal residence of Yogi Ji, not the very large one at Guru Ram Dass Ashram in Espanola, so this place is rarely open to visitors and it is even more rarely photographed. The staff on duty was generous enough to make a small exception that day. Oh, and also the late Yogi Bhajan was a former customs official so I'm pretty sure he received them in the right way. His grave reads: Born at Zero, Died at One.
Yogi Bhajan's Elephant Graveyard is located in Espanola New Mexico as seen from space:
