Dim River is actually one of the most popular attractions in Alanya.

Dim Cay is a river, the river is freezing cold, even that it's hot outside!
It's a must visit, because of the food, the amazing view and the cold refreshing water!
Normaly i'm going for Göl piknik, but today we tried Ada Piknik and it was great :)

Dim Cay River in Alanya, Turkey - Alanya attractions
The Dim River (in Turkish Dim Çayı), located by the Dim Dam, is one of the must see attractions in Alanya, Turkey. The beautiful green/ forested river valley area is apparently the favorite place for locals to visit, keep cool and have a family picnic / day out. What makes this river very unique is the way the restaurants have been built alongside the river, not only are they alongside the river but tables are also located on platforms in the river.
You can actually sit and have a meal at a restaurant and be sitting on the Dim Cay River (Dim Çayı). At some of the restaurants you can even catch your own fish (trout). We came across a small trout farm on the road. It looked like the locals really enjoyed being on the river and it was nice to see that some of the river was also free from man made structures so that one could enjoy the natural beauty of this river valley. This video is long but I do hope that it can provide you with some of the atmosphere of the place. My wife and I where staying in western Alanya in July. We caught one of the local Dolmus (local minivan bus / Hop on hop off) buses there on our own (two connections and we where there). We caught the wrong Dolmus bus twice but eventually got it right. The Dim River (Dim Çayı) is located in Alanya which lies in the Turkish province of Antalya. The river flows westwards towards the Mediterranean Sea and is fed by the river systems in the highlands of the Konya Province.

Dim Çayı: Antalya'nın Alanya ilçesi sınırlarında yer alan, merkezden 6 kilometre uzaklıktaki çay.
Toroslardan doğan çay yaklaşık 60 kilometrelik bir seyir izler. Bu seyrin son kısımlarına doğru Alanya ilçesinin turizminin hizmetine başlar. Yaz kış soğuk olan suyu özellikle yazın Akdeniz'in bunaltıcı sıcağından kaçmak isteyenler için ideal bir mekân teşkil eder. Paralel giden yola açılan pek çok lokanta ve çay bahçesi vardır. Ana yola yaklaşık 7-8 kilometre uzaklıktaki regülatörden sonra da bu lokantalar devam eder. Buradaki lokantaların ve piknik alanlarının bir bakıma ortak özelliği çay içine atılmış masalardır. Ancak mevcut baraj inşaatı nedeni ile çayın turistik amaçlı kullanımı gün be gün azalmaktadır. Çayın daha üst kısımları ise rafting amaçlı kullanılmaktadır. D.S.İ. tarafından çay üzerine sulama, içme suyu ve enerji amaçlı baraj inşaatı yapılmaktadır.

Dimcayi (Dim Çay / Dim Çayı ) Alanya, Turkey 2016 Part I
Dimcayi in Alanya is situated on the Dim river about 5-6 km from Alanya town. It is very popular with tourists and can be extremely busy in the summer months. There are several restaurants offering a selection of fish and other tasty dishes. The restaurants offer different seating areas with some actually on the Dim river itself.
This year in Dimcayi, we had breakfast for two. It was amazing. It was really tasty but too much even for two hungry people. It was also very reasonably priced and kept us going all day.
Some of the restaurants have rafts where you can dine and sit on the water. It’s great for couples and I can highly recommend it providing you don't have small children or children that want to rock the boat too much.
Weather permitting you can also swim in the Dim Cay River if you are brave enough to withstand the chilly water. There are also slides that you can use to get in the water, if you prefer.
