Doheny State Beach Dana Point California
A view of the wide expanse of this beach along the Pacific Ocean in Orange County between San Clemente and Laguna Beach California. As can be seen a lot of people come here to surf the waves. This was filmed on a sunday morning. Doheny State Beach is two parks in one - with camping in the southern area (with some campsites only steps away from the beach) and day use in the northern area, where there is a five-acre lawn with picnic facilities and volleyball courts. Surfing is popular, but is restricted to the north end of the beach. Surf fishing is also popular. Entrance is free, there is just a charge to park. According to the state parks website, they charge 60 dollars to camp along the beach.

Great place to take your kid's camping or just a day out to the beach. The water is calm, the faculty is clean and tons of fun stuff to do.

Tour of new Doheny State Beach Interpretive Center
Took a tour of the newly renovated Doheny State Beach Interpretive Center today thanks to Ed Neely and Carol Kelly. WOW!!! This place is amazing!
The center is open on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m. each week. There's no cost to enter, and the exhibits and aquariums they have are stunning! First class all the way and it displays all the local flora and fauna, fishies, eels, lobster and anything under the ocean locally. Bravo! You should go check this out, but in case you can, here's a video I took.

Visiting Dana Point, California
This past weekend we went to visit our good friends in Dana Point, CA to celebrate Angies three day birthday! The weather was off-and-on the entire time we were there, but ended up being amazing on Angies last birthday day. We ended our trip with an extremely delayed flight. Which is unfortunate because we could have hustled our way on to a boat during that time if we weren't already at the airport. Hope y'all enjoy watching.

Exploring the Dana Point Sea Caves
We went down to Dana Point back on July 4th to explore the sea caves. The hike itself is relatively easy, just make sure you wear regular shoes and not sandals. You could probably spend hours just looking at the tide pools. We were only able to get to two out of supposedly four or five of the sea caves, but we still had a lot of fun.

Amie and I took a trip down to Dana Point and spent 36 hours exploring the city and what there is to do there. During our time we hiked to a sea cave, rented jet skis, touched sharks, photographed the sunset and explored the Ritz Carlton. It was a whirlwind 36 hours.
