Dorotheum Palais - Vienna
The Dorotheum building is an impressive, neobaroque palace that is an attraction for Viennese natives and visitors from abroad alike. Not only the palace is exquisite, it is also the oldest auction house in the World (more than 300 years) and the biggest one in Continental Europe.
It is considered as part of the Austrian identity, as dear to the Viennese as the St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Fiaker horse carriages or many of the cafes everywhere around town.
