Whitney (right center) moving to the north looking down on Cal State San Marcos and the city of San Marcos and then to the west towards Batiquitos Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. The peak's elevation is about 1644'. You can reach the top by hiking trail from Discovery Lake or by biking or driving.

Incredible 360 degree views from Double Peak Park, San Marcos, CA.. Not too many people know about this place, a person can really clear their head here. You can see all of San Diego and the Pacific Ocean on a clear day.
The Heavy Hiker Adventures 12-4-18 Double Peak Trail San Marcos Ca
In this Heavy Hiker Adventure, Robot in the Wild (Robert) and I do a quick 3.9 mile hike. We chose a local trail called Double Peak Train in San Marcos, Ca. Although not a super long trail, it did have some pretty good elevation (1,026') climb, soit turned out to be a pretty good workout with great views at the top.

Double Peak in San Marcos is Double the Fun?
I wouldn't say it's Double the Fun but it's a great workout. This peak seems to be popular exercise spot for locals. The trail is about 4 miles and very well maintained.

There is a local landmark near Palomar College in San Marcos California in San Diego County. It is a large hill with a giant P painted on the rocks. It's a brisk hike up to the P but the view of the surrounding hills is fantastic. The footage was filmed with the Yuneec Q500 4K aerial video platform.
