Drone vid: Dead Soviet military village hidden in German forest
An abandoned Soviet military base called Vogelsang stands 65 km (40 miles) north of Berlin and remains hidden in the forest since Moscow's troops withdrew in 1994, Wednesday. The Soviet village covered once around 2,000-hectare and was inhabited by more than 15,000 soldiers and their families.
Vogelsang's construction began in 1951 and it made into one of the largest Soviet garrisons outside the former Soviet Union with around 550 residential buildings, a school and a gym. The Soviet village also featured warehouses for atomic weaponry, anti-aircraft missiles, tanks and many other all-terrain vehicles.

And even now part of me fly's, over Dresden at Angels One-Five... R Waters, From: The Final Cut
Below- Original Description, facts may not be (are NOT) accurate as the real facts are much worse than even this:
On February 13, 1945 - Allied aircraft launch a surprise attack on the historic city of Dresden, Germany. In a 3-day period, 3,400 tons of explosives were dropped, reducing 6 square miles of the city's center to sheer rubble. 135,000 lives were lost, many of them refugees retreating from the advancing Russian Red Army. Many Allied officials were outraged; Germany was clearly on the verge of full collapse, and Dresden was unable to defend itself. The center of town possessed no military targets or industry. It had been famous as Florence on the Elbe, for its artworks and historic buildings until it became an inexplicable victim of the single most destructive air raid of World War II.
The full truth is much more hideous than this (above). Estimates are as high as 400,000 dead from this bombing of a civilian population; a center of culture for centuries. The war had been decided at this point and the bombing of Dresden had no real military importance. The best reasoning they could come up with was that they didn't want to have to fight from street to street, house to house when they went to clear the city of any left-over NSDAP forces and sympathizers.
No, this was a punishment. They were setting an example for the rest of the world to see what would happen if any nation decided to break the chains of the international tyranny imposed by the puppet masters who were better known as The Bankers.
These Bankers had brought England to it's knees in the 19th century and in 1913 they began doing the same to the USA. Germany was one of the few countries with the will power to stand up against them and for their trouble they received WWI, The Heinous Treaties which followed (with the help of The November Criminals), a Great Depression, Forced and Brutal Submission and eventually they were vilified and went down in history as the worst human beings who ever walked the face of the planet.
Someday the truth will come out and be undeniable by anyone. All of the atrocities of WWI and WWII will sadly look like child's play when this happens.
Here are the words of some great world leaders which will echo in the annals of history:
Hitler will emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived...He had a mystery about him in the way that he lived and in the manner of his death that will live and grow after him. He had in him the stuff of which legends are made. - John .F. Kennedy
We have no doubt about your bravery or devotion to your fatherland, nor do we believe that you are the monster described by your opponents - Mahatma Gandhi
I do not want to see the allies defeated. But I do not consider Hitler to be as bad as he is depicted. He is showing an ability that is amazing and seems to be gaining his victories without much bloodshed. Englishmen are showing the strength that Empire builders must have. I expect them to rise much higher than they seem to be doing. - Mahatma Gandhi
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it - Wisdom of All Ages of Man

SUMMARY
=======
The bombing of Dresden was a British/American aerial bombing attack on the city of Dresden, the capital of the German state of Saxony, during World War II in the European Theatre. In four raids between 13 and 15 February 1945, 722 heavy bombers of the British Royal Air Force (RAF) and 527 of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) dropped more than 3,900 tons of high-explosive bombs and incendiary devices on the city. The bombing and the resulting firestorm destroyed over 1,600 acres (6.5 km2) of the city centre. An estimated 22,700 to 25,000 people were killed, although larger casualty figures have been claimed. Three more USAAF air raids followed, two occurring on 2 March aimed at the city's railway marshalling yard and one smaller raid on 17 April aimed at industrial areas.
Immediate German propaganda claims following the attacks and post-war discussions on whether the attacks were justified have led to the bombing becoming one of the moral causes célèbres of the war. A 1953 United States Air Force report defended the operation as the justified bombing of a strategic target, which they noted was a major rail transport and communication centre, housing 110 factories and 50,000 workers in support of the German war effort. Several researchers claim not all of the communications infrastructure, such as the bridges, were targeted, nor were the extensive industrial areas outside the city center. Critics of the bombing have claimed that Dresden was a cultural landmark of little or no strategic significance, and that the attacks were indiscriminate area bombing and not proportionate to the military gains. Some in the German far-right refer to the bombing as a mass murder calling it Dresden's Holocaust of bombs.Large variations in the claimed death toll have fuelled the controversy. In March 1945, the German government ordered its press to publish a falsified casualty figure of 200,000 for the Dresden raids, and death toll estimates as high as 500,000 have been given. The city authorities at the time estimated up to 25,000 victims, a figure that subsequent investigations supported, including a 2010 study commissioned by the city council.

Gadgets of the future at Berlin tech fest
(4 May 2016) FOR CLEAN VERSION SEE STORY NUMBER: 4034232
LEAD IN:
Virtual reality drones, mini hologram accessories and a fashion outfit messaging app are just some of the gadgets being shown at Berlin's Re:publica tech fest.
The trade fair is celebrating its tenth anniversary. For a decade, its been known as the place to experience and debate Internet 2.0.
STORY-LINE:
It's the place where you can catch a glimpse of the future, Berlin 's Re:publica tech festival.
Over three days, keynote speeches and discussions focus on everything to do with the internet, future-living and social change.
This year, there's a big focus on virtual reality; goggles and headsets are hanging from almost every corner of the festival area.
But the festival is broad, concerning almost anything that's digital.
At Re:publica, I think it's a lot of people gathering who want to play a part in how the digital future should look like, says Johnny Haeusler, one of the founders of the festival.
Or they have an urge to talk about what they want from digitalisation.
It's also the place to get your hands on a variety of new, high-tech gadgets being shown by start-up companies.
One such gadget is this Juwl interactive hologram, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering.
The hologram generator fits in a person's hand, when you place it on a touch screen device - using the right web application - it creates a small hologram inside the pyramid shaped device.
When you move Juwl around on a tablet or smartphone, the hologram changes. You can, for example, change the size of the hologram or change the colour by spinning Juwl around.
The device simply uses reflections inside the pyramid structure. Owners can even use photos to create their own mini holograms.
The product has not yet been released on the market.
Once it becomes available, it could be used for several applications, according to Jaqueline Hen, a designer at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial engineering and inventor of Juwl.
You can use it for example for advertising, like for product supplements, she says.
In this example, you can change colour of the shoe by rotating it. So you can create and personalise your product, for example online shopping. Imagine that you are online shopping and then you can personalise your own product and see it in 3D.
Another gadget that's being shown for the first time is the Spherie, a drone with 360-degree video recording capabilities.
The drone has eight rotors and carries six GoPro video cameras.
The drone can fly for up to eight minutes, filming a full spherical video which can be viewed with a VR headset or on a tablet.
The key is the positioning of the cameras and the rotor blades which means that no part of the drone is seen in the video at any time, according to inventor, Nicolas Chibac.
So what we've got here is Spherie, it is the worldwide first 360-degree film drone, he says.
And what it does, obviously, it's flying, it's a drone, and at the same time it's shooting 360-degree sphere, a completely closed sphere, without shooting any part of the drone. So what we see here is that if we move in space, then we can look in all directions, while we're flying through this building. You don't see any part of the drone on top.
A professional version of the Spherie drone is set to be released soon, aimed specifically at film production companies.
A more consumer-friendly version is also in the pipeline, but the price tag is still likely to be in the region of 5,000 euros (approx. $5,752).
Augmented reality company, Shoutr Labs, is showing its latest product, an off-line augmented reality streaming service.
One company that's still hoping to strike app-gold is Combyne.

Interesting contraption in toy museum in Marienplatz, Munich
An interesting gadget caught my eye underneath the toy museum in Marienplatz, Munich. It is a windmill type mechanical toy that makes periodic chimes. In the same square, you can find this stuffed toy display. The good part is, of course, the stuffed animals can move and put on a show.
This town square is the place to be when you are in Munich.

Conférence Bilderberg 2016 du 9 au 12 juin 2016 à Dresde en Allemagne
The Bilderberg Group, Bilderberg conference, Bilderberg meetings or Bilderberg Club is an annual private conference of 120 to 150 people of the European and North American political elite, experts from industry, finance, academia, and the media, established in 1954.
