Introduction to The Bag Stall in Durham Indoor Market
Durham Indoor Market's infamous Lynn the Bag Lady (resident in the Market Hall until 2013) gives viewers a warm and lighthearted introduction to her former stall. This video was so popular when it was released that Lynn has now become somewhat a celebrity, and famed across the world for her wonderfully strong Durham accent!
Sadly Lynn no longer runs her bag stall, but she remains one of the Market's great characters, and you can still find her helping out in the Market on a regular basis. We love you, Lynn!

Swansea Indoor Market
A market has been held at the centre of Swansea for over 800 years. From its ancient origins in the shadow of the Castle the Market has evolved and grown through the generations to meet the changing needs of the people of Swansea. Darlington is a large market town in County Durham, in North East England. With a population of 105,564 in 2011, the town lies on the River Skerne, a tributary of the River Tees. The town is administered as part of the Borough of Darlington. The town owes much of its development to the influence of local Quaker families in the Georgian and Victorian era, and who provided much of the finance and vision in creating the Stockton and Darlington Railway, the world's first steam locomotive powered, permanent passenger railway.
