Greenville is the county seat of and the most populous city in Pitt County, North Carolina, United States; the principal city of the Greenville metropolitan area; and the 11th-most populous city in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Greenville is the health, entertainment, and educational hub of North Carolina's Tidewater and Coastal Plain. The city's official population as of the 2017 United States census estimate is 92,156 residents while the Greenville Metropolitan Area includes 200,000 people, making Greenville one of the densest municipalities in the state. In January 2008 and January 2010, Greenville was named one of the nation's 100 Best Communities for Young People by the America's Promise Alliance. The city has the fifth-highest percentage of residents in North Carolina – almost 30 percent – who have obtained bachelor's degrees.

East Carolina University
East Carolina University is a public, doctoral/research university in Greenville, North Carolina, United States. Named East Carolina University by statute and commonly known as ECU or East Carolina, the university is the third-largest in North Carolina.[4] The Association of Public and Land Grant Universities designates East Carolina as a Sea Grant university and an Innovation and Economic Prosperity campus.
Founded on March 8, 1907 as a teacher training school, East Carolina has grown from 43 acres (17 ha) to almost 1,600 acres (647 ha) today.[5] The university's academic facilities are located on five properties: Main Campus, Health Sciences Campus, West Research Campus, the Field Station for Coastal Studies in New Holland, North Carolina and the Millennial Research and Innovation Campus in Greenville's warehouse district.[6][7] The nine undergraduate colleges, graduate school, and four professional schools are located on these four properties.[8] All of the non-health sciences majors are located on the main campus. The College of Nursing, College of Allied Health Sciences, The Brody School of Medicine, and School of Dental Medicine are located on the health science campus. There are ten social sororities, 16 social fraternities, four historically black sororities, five historically black fraternities, one Native American fraternity, and one Native American sorority.[9] There are over 300 registered clubs on campus including fraternities and sororities.

The Lady & Men Pirate Basketball and ECU Dance teams held a basketball clinic for the Jarvis & St. James Upward Basketball League in Greenville, NC on a Sunday in January in the Taft Christian Life Center of Jarvis Memorial UMC.
The video talks to the Respect these basketball teams have for each other, the Gratitude of the teams for the Greenville community and their Trust in God to impact Lives through the game of Basketball.
2016 American Football Highlights - East Carolina 33, NC State 30
GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Anthony Scott scored the go-ahead touchdown with 5:49 left to help East Carolina beat North Carolina State 33-30 on Saturday.
Scott finished with 90 total yards and two scores for the Pirates (2-0), who won their sixth straight game against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents dating to the 2013 season. James Summers also ran for two scores, the second a 15-yarder that saw him dragging tacklers into the end zone in the third quarter.
The Wolfpack (1-1) had a final chance for the tie. But Ryan Finley's 21-yard pass over the middle to Bra'Lon Cherry killed the final seconds to seal ECU's win.
Matt Dayes ran for 103 yards, while Finley, Jaylen Samuels and Reggie Gallaspy II each ran for touchdowns. But on a day when both teams had several key miscues, N.C. State's mistakes -- a stuffed fake field goal, for one -- proved too much to overcome.
THE TAKEAWAY
N.C. STATE: N.C. State moved the ball and racked up 497 yards with its new offense, but its defense struggled to keep up in its first true test of the season. That doesn't bode well with high-powered offenses like Clemson and Louisville ahead on the schedule.
EAST CAROLINA: New coach Scottie Montgomery now has a big win in just his second game, taking down an instate rival in the kind of performance sure to charge up the Pirates' fans and give the program a jolt of momentum in the midst of a tough nonconference slate.

The North Carolina State Wolfpack beat the East Carolina Pirates 58-3 in college football action. Running back Reggie Gallaspy rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns to complement quarterback Ryan Finley’s 409 yards passing and three touchdown throws for the Wolfpack.
