The Mangga Dua Mall Experience (Jakarta, Indonesia) Your one stop destination for bargain shopping, ladies will want to be here the whole day. The gentlemen will want to leave after an hour. I can assure you, everything you need and want is here! Even if you didn’t think about buying a particular product, you just might end up leaving this place with something not needed. Mangga Dua Mall is very popular in Jakarta. It’s complete, it’s cheap, it’s a shoppers dream. Despite its lack of modern interior design, exterior design, and maybe even electrical layout, a lot of people come here to shop. Even with the other newer malls in Jakarta, this mall is still recommended for being complete and cheap. How long has this mall been alive? I can’t exactly give you the dates but I remember accompanying my mom to this mall when I was in grade school, and this is where I bought my Nintendo Wii, so they’ve been around like forever! It’s got everything from baby products, to rugs, to winter wear(even though we don’t have that season), to cars, you name it, they got it. How will you enjoy your shopping here? Bargain bargain bargain! If the first seller does not agree to your price for a certain product, move on to the next seller. One of them will bite! To enjoy your shopping experience, bring a credit card, or maybe $500 being the most. Sounds like too much? Don’t worry, you’ll leave with more. Each floor is assigned to specified products such as fashion, electronics, eyewear, etc. Trust me, you’d want to grab something to bite from all the shopping. There are a lot of food vendors, foodcourts, and people walking past you with refreshment in hand to sell. For the guys, if you’ve had enough of walking around with the ladies, I’d go for a smoke break in the parking lot, oh, it’s best not to drive here because parking is a pain in the behind. While you’re having a fag/refreshment in the parking lot, just go enjoy the scene, abandoned trains, the empty land spaces, homes of the poor. Well that’s enough for me to get away from the shoppers. Oh, there’s no need to dress fancy here, you’ll be squeezing through small spaces, people, so it gets hot at times. Bring your hanky! Ladies, you want a Louis Vuitton/Gucci/Versace/Long Champ/Nike/billabong/Lacoste bag/wallet/purse/luggage but can’t afford an original one, go here. There are a lot of choices, from “super fake” to “so real you wear it better than those who can afford it” qualities. Also, there’s a bridge-like pathway to the other side of the mall. Harco Mas, this is where all the I.T/digital products are, such as computers, cameras, electrical needs, gaming consoles, and more are located. Oh, you can even find gowns and suits here! There so much things in here, it’s best that you come here and experience it! Cheers!
