Elephant Jungle Sanctuary - Phuket Thailand
On day one of your adventure in Phuket Thailand, we visited the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Northern Phuket.
It was an hour drive from Patong Beach, where they pick you up in a pick-up truck and you ride in the back.
There are 2 sessions each day, a morning and an afternoon session. We did the afternoon sessions which included snacks for us, snacks for the elephants, us getting to feed the elephants, bathe them in mud, bathe them in a lake and take many many photos with them.
The sanctuary also provided a wonderful buffet dinner before we left featuring thai food.

ELEPHANT JUNGLE SANCTUARY PHUKET | AMAZING EXPERIENCE | THAILAND
After conducting lots of research into the different Elephant Sanctuaries in Thailand, we decided to come to the 'Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket'. There are many places you can see elephants in Thailand, and I was on the lookout for the most loving and ethical; I definitely found that. Beautiful experience that I'll never forget!

This is our take on the controversial industry of elephant trekking. We need to stand together to spread awareness so that the business of elephant trekking wont be a booming business throughout southeast asia, as it is now.
If people just knew the process these elephants go through before they are suitable for elephant trekking or any other elephant show that involves behavior outside their normal nature.
An elephant sanctuary is definitely not the natural habitat for an elephant BUT it is miles better than trekking. It is our belief that the elephants get treated heaps better in these sanctuaries throughout Thailand compared the old school fashion of elephant trekking companies.

Oh my god, what an experience. I didn't know how badly I needed to bathe with Elephants until I did! This excursion was one of the most happiest and thrilling adventure by far!
We visited Phuket Elephant Sanctuary because we didn't want to ride on the Elephants but rather play with them. Diana planned a great day.
We got to feed them, play with them and even bathe with them. They're energy was so calming and relaxing and they were so friendly. Especially if you had fruits!
Elephants are vegetarian - they only eat plants and fruit, they are loving creatures and they find humans to be adorable.
This was by far one of my favorite videos to edit and an experience I will talk about for the rest of my life.
I hope you guys take a chance and get to be one with Elephants in any Sanctuary of your choice - because there are a few all around Asia.

Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Review
We looked all over for the top things to do in Phuket. While there were many options, we knew we wanted to interact with elephants in a non-riding, humane environment. That actually only left us with a few options. We went with the Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary as they had great reviews, prices, and were partnered with the resort we stayed at, the Twin Palms Phuket.
Your ticket total of 2,500 baht includes a pick-up from your hotel at either 7:30am if you’re doing a morning visit or 1:30pm if you’re doing an afternoon visit. Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is located in Naithon Beach, which is about an hour north of Phuket, give or take.
Upon arrival at the Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary, they provided a quick snack and water as they go over the itinerary and rules. Then we got busy peeling bananas, LOTS and LOTS of bananas, or whichever fruit is in season. The elephants were more than ready and happy to eat. Feeding them was a very neat experience. Their mouths and tongues are so big that you actually have to stick your hand in their mouth and put the food on their tongues. Say “BON!” and they open right up. Something else that we thought was cool was that there were so many elephants that a lot of the time we were able to interact with one, just ourselves.
After a good amount feeding, the elephants were just about ready to play. Our favorite little elephant playmate was a little guy they nicknamed Justin Bieber, as they said he’s a troublemaker. He was a wild two-year-old elephant and he was definitely the life of the party. The instructors warned us to be wary of getting too close to Justin because he is wildly uncoordinated. If I had listened, I wouldn’t have gotten stepped on by him when he lost his balance trying to break open some fruit.
Washing the elephants came next. It was very entertaining to watch them all scurry into the mud, most entertaining, of course, was Justin. If you thought you could possibly get through the day without being drenched in mud, you would be wrong, so be prepared to get dirty! It was about a half hour of rubbing mud all over the elephants while they played and laid around. Then came the splashing and the rinsing, which the elephants were delighted to help with.
All that remained to do then was eat. They served a delicious Thai style buffet lunch with water and the option for other refreshments and alcohol for purchase. They also gave out ponchos and other small gifts to raise awareness of their cause. Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary had tons of small and large handmade figurines for sale by local vendors.
The Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary is a top things to do in Phuket. We had a great time reliving and putting together this review - thanks for reading. For more information, check out the link below:

Bathing with a Giant - Elephant Jungle Sanctuary Phuket Thailand
For more sailing videos
Our final destination was Phuket Thailand. This is where we docked the African Star catamaran for and departed. Before we left we visited as much of Phuket as we could. Our favorite spot was the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary.
The sanctuary is for elephants that have been purchased from the logging and riding camps of Thailand. The Asian elephant has a delicate back and riding them breaks it. The sanctuary promotes interaction with these magnificent creatures without riding them. This is an amazing place to visit if you like feeding, bathing with, and getting dirty with charismatic megafauna.

We played with elephants! It was one of the most amazing and humbling experiences. These gentle creatures do not deserve to be mistreated and abused like they often are for tourism. Allow them to live freely by supporting ethical groups like Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. When in Thailand, do NOT ride the elephants!

Avoiding the Patong Beach Scammers in Thailand, The Night Market & The Phuket Elephant Sanctuary
Started out with a little quality time my DJI Mavic Air around Karon Beach. We went to go play with the Elephants at the Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. We had a great time there feeding and bathing the elephants. We also walked away with some cool merch. Then we went out to the Patong Beach Night Market and tried some thailand street food. Got some Thai Iced Coffee. And stopped by Bangala Road to check out the night light.
