After staying a few days in Fairbanks, checking what to do and the roads conditions we are leaving to go north, on Elliott Highway direction Danton Highway on our Arctic Ocean Expedition.
We left Fairbanks in the evening, so the first night we boondocked at Wickersham Dome Trailhead (Creek Trail).

Leave everything and wander” is the result of Sara Bertagnolli’s and Luca Sguazzini’s desire to join their own skills and realize a dream: that of traveling, leaving the certainties and securities of everyday life behind.
After university Sara achieved high-level professional goals in the field of management and became the personal assistant to the fashion designer Philipp Plein.
Luca has been traveling a lot since he was a child and the last year he gained notoriety for his participation in the Italian version of “Dancing with the stars”; he has more than 138k followers on Instagram and 50k on Facebook.
They have decided to join forces and to tell a life out of the ordinary on social networks. The plan is to travel through Canada, Alaska and, in a second moment, United States, Messico and South America and to share the trip’s photos and videos on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram, giving to everyone the possibility to experience the “wander-spirit”.
Traveling without temporal or spatial limits will give Sara and Luca the possibility to entangle their story with that of people they will meet on the road and to discover new cultures, visiting also the places which are not famous, the ones which often have the biggest surprises in store.
The start-up budget will be limited in order to demonstrate that – also without great economical resources – everything is possible if you put the work in and involve as many people as possible.

Chena River Alaska Moose hunt Hunting beyond the Chena Hot Springs The Chena River Moose Hunt was a Blast Did it solo from start to end floated the river several times before finding my chosen locations Moose hunting is a tough go alone but definitely worth the effort good years and bad years(well never bad years, just years you don't get one) Even on the years with no moose for the freezer I always get to see lots of moose an have some amazing encounters the year before this one I had a cow and calf run down the ridge right at me and I had to jump up to scare them, so I didn't get trampled Alaska moose hunting Near Fairbanks alaska there are better spots then where I got this but I had a goal to take one from this area this bull was about 55 inches and a blessing for near the end of the season this is a 2016 bull but I may try the spot out in 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 2026 or who knows all the way out till 2030 or when I die or maybe just get too old to go it alone Lots of work and lots of distance to cover for one man but I did it!

ATS - Dalton Elliot Highway extreme for ATS v1.30, summer and winter mods - My two cents
Dalton Elliot Highway extreme for ATS v1.30.
The following, including link, is parts of a description made by the author of the map, Hawkbs:
The map is a Standalone Map on a 1:1 Scale and is NOT Compatible with any other map i.e C2C or Mexuscan!
This map is not for the feint of heart it will take you 20 minutes to get to Fox from Fairbanks and 3 1/2 hours to get to Yukon River Camp. It takes about 2 hours or so just to get to the Dalton Highway from Fairbanks alone. There are hills and corners that will make your jaw drop or wake you up. This map has been mapped with google earth and elevations for every single node added to their correct heights for their respective locations via Google Maps Find Altitude.
There are two versions one Summer and one Winter.
Map Includes
Alaska State Troopers and Fairbanks Police Cars, Custom Trailer skins for some companies. Carlile T680 and W900 Skins for the SCS player trucks and AI trucks
Truckdealers are located in Fairbanks : Kenworth, Peterbilt and Volvo, Deadhorse: Peterbilt
Previous Savegames from the normal game map and/or other maps will not work with this map.
This map is NOT compatible with any other maps it is Standalone.

We are in Dawson Creek, Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway which we want to do it completely up to Fairbanks. We hope to be able to drive it with our old truck camper until the end.
After leaving Dawson Creek, we started the Alaska Highway ( or Alcan Highway ) crossing Farmington Fairways, Kiskatinaw Provincial Park, Peace Island Park, Taylor, Fort St. John, Beatton Provincial Park, Charlie Lake Provincial Park, Pink Mountain, Sasquatch Crossing, Buckinghorse Wayside Provincial Park and we stopped to sleep (boondock) at Buckinghorse River.

Each year up to 65 entrants come to the Wickersham trail head, mile 28 of the Elliott Highway in interior Alaska. Dalton Highway
The James W. Dalton Highway, usually referred to as the Dalton Highway (and signed as Alaska Route 11) is a 414-mile (666 km) road in Alaska. It begins at the Elliott Highway, north of Fairbanks, and ends at Deadhorse near the Arctic Ocean and the Prudhoe Bay oil fields. Once called the North Slope Haul Road (a name by which it is still sometimes known), it was built as a supply road to support the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System in 1974. It is named after James Dalton, a lifelong Alaskan and an engineer who supervised construction of the Distant Early Warning Line in Alaska and, as an expert in Arctic engineering, served as a consultant in early oil exploration in northern Alaska.

A New Trail to the Arctic Interagency Visitor Center
In 2014 and 2015, volunteers and Bureau of Land Management employees constructed a new walking and biking trail to the Arctic Interagency Visitor Center in Coldfoot, Alaska.
