MOSCOW. STREET OLD ARBAT. WALK.
Moscow. Old Arbat is a pedestrian street for cultural walks and entertainment. You can get to Stary Arbat from the Garden Ring from the Smolenskaya metro station, from the center from the Arbatskaya metro station. The length of the street is about a kilometer. Now on holidays at the beginning and end of the street are picturesque New Year trees. The street begins with the works of artists: portraits, landscapes, caricatures. You can always order your portrait there. Musicians are singing on the street. Many souvenir shops and especially with nesting dolls and just ordinary shops.
Stary Arbat Street is the oldest street in Moscow, in 1985 it was made a pedestrian, in the eighties of the last century there lived Moscow intelligentsia, creative intelligentsia: famous writers, poets, artists. Houses on the streets are also with ancient architecture, each house is unique, previously it was apartment buildings.
There are always a lot of people walking on the street, there are many restaurants and eateries on it. At Arbat 16, there is an entertainment center, which has many unusual museums. In the center of Old Arbat there is the famous Vakhtangov Theater - at 26 Arbat address. Near it stands a golden sculpture of Princess Turandot - the symbol of the first theater performance. Opposite the theater is the Central House of Actor. Near the wall is the singer Viktor Tsoi, a monument to Bulat Okudzhava. At the end of the street is a sculpture of A. Pushkin and N. Goncharova. At Arbat d. 44, p. 1 is a nightclub Hard Rock Cafe.

Top 10 MUST visit places in Moscow | Russia
10 must visit places in Moscow | Russia
Hello everyone! My name is Daria!
There are hundreds points of attraction in Moscow but I guess if you have only couple of days you haven’t so much time to visit all of them, that’s why for your attention I will show you my favorite places in Moscow. I see the best time for visiting Moscow since April because for example in this March we had terrible spring with 10 degrees below zero. If you don’t want to be frozen and want to walk more welcome since late spring. All of the places which I’m going to tell about are in the center. Let’s get into it!
1. Red square
The Red Square is the most popular and that’s why most of the time crowded city plaza in Moscow but despite this fact I like to be there and set a meeting point near Ohotny ryad station. It absolutely should be the
first place in your travel rout. Red Square is a beautiful historical place with many interesting buildings and monuments around. I like the atmosphere which you can feel walking along the streets.
2. St. Basil’s Cathedral
On the Red square you may see a colorful unusual cathedral. It’s a St. Basil’s Cathedral. It was built in 16th century and now works as a museum
This is a unique cathedral, mix of details has no analogues in Russian architecture.
More info you may find here
The ticket for adults is 350 rubles.
3. GUM
It’s on Red Square, as well, near St.Basils Cathedral. This is a huge beautiful shopping mall in neo-Russian style where you can walk inside, eat an ice-cream and visit Stolovaya No 57. It’s a canteen which offers Russian Soviet Food.
4. Bolshoi theatre and places around
The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow and one of the huge in Russia, which holds ballet and opera performances and which you may see on 100 rubles banknote.
You will see Bolshoy theatre, Maliy Theathe (Малый театр), TsuM ЦУМ (it’s a premium shopping mall mostly with expensive brands) and go to Kuznetskiy most street. You will find plenty of bars and cafes. I adore this district because It’s full of live. In spring and in summer musician bands play on the streets. Their performances and genres are different and you will enjoy just sitting on a bench and listening to music.
5. Old Arbat st and New Arbat st
There are 2 parallel streets. Old Arbat is one of the oldest street. Moscow intellectuals such as Pushkin, Blok, Tolstoy, Gogol, Chehov and many others lived there. New Arbat is a modern designed street with contemporary installations, benches and buildings.
6. Cathedral of Christ the Savior (view point)
The Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (Храм Христа Спасителя,) is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in Moscow, Russia, it is the tallest Orthodox Christian church in the world. More info about this one is here, check it out.
The entry is free but if you want to go to see a view point the ticket cost as I remember around 200 rubles.
7. Kitay-Gorod district, Maroseyka st
I love this street for its wonderful atmosphere. You may feel an old Moscow here. There are plenty of nice buildings, cafes with terraces outside, churches. Order a cup of coffee and watching people walking by.
8. Gorky park
Has a huge territory. It’s a very popular place in the capital. In warm time of a year, you will see many people of different ages, cultures, styles , you may take a participation in dancing classes which are held on the embankment of Moscow River, watch movies under the sky, listen to music bands, have a rest near lakes or river, ride on bicycle or other strange vehicle.
9. Zaryadye Park
I add this one, because it’s a new park which was finished in 2017. This project was a new and innovative for Moscow. You will see the floating bridge, amphitheater with futuristic roof, media centers. I think this is worthy of your attention.
Ulitsa Varvarka 6, Building 1
10. The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts
This is one of my favorite museums. It looks like an ancient temple of Greece but in the center of urban life. Art Collection is different, you will find sculptures, paintings, and graphics of outstanding European artists of different centuries.
This building is more than 100 years old.
Mostly there are many people want to get there and avoiding waiting in a line you may buy tickets online.
300 rubles for adults
Moscow, Russia, Volkhonka 12
These were 10 places where you can go and feel real Moscow life. Thanks for your attention. Welcome! Bye!

???? Nikolskaya Street is a pedestrian street in the Kitay-Gorod of Moscow.[1] It connects Red Square and Lubyanka Square.[2] It was known as the Street of the 25th of October between 1935 and 1990.
The north side of the street is lined with historic buildings, such as the Kazan Cathedral, the Old Mint, Monastery of the Holy Saviour, Greek Monastery of St. Nicholas (from which this street takes its name), and the former Holy Synod Printing Offices, Russia's first publishing house.[1] The south side contains the GUM and the Dormition Church, an example of the Naryshkin Baroque underwritten by the Saltykov boyar family in 1691.
Before Stalin's reconstruction of downtown Moscow, the street led to the Vladimir Gates of the Kitay-Gorod wall (1534-38) which used to dominate the Lubyanka Square. Another Naryshkin Baroque church, dating from 1694, adjoined the gate, as did the more recent chapel of St. Pantaleon with a large cupola. All these buildings were razed in 1934.
The Nikolskaya Street and the neighbouring Tretyakovsky Proyezd are the center of Moscow's traditional luxury shopping district. It was pedestrianized in August 2013.

STORYLINE:
Irish expatriates and employees of Irish companies in Moscow, backed by Russian sympathisers, paraded on one of the city's main streets to mark one of Ireland's biggest festivals - Saint Patrick's Day.
Saint Patrick's festivities have been held in Moscow since 1992, and this year attracted thousands of Muscovites who lined up New Arbat Street to watch the annual parade and street shows.
Irish culture and music, but especially whiskey and beer, have become very popular with Russians who believe they have a lot in common with the Irish.
St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and is credited with bringing Christianity to the island and banishing snakes from its shores.

Magical Moscow in 2020 - A Rare Glimpse at the Winter Capital Without Snow (4K UHD)
* In this video - a compilation of Timelapses, Drone Segments, Wide-Angle shots of the streets of Moscow, filmed after the 2020 New Year.
This winter has certainly been one of the strangest seasons in regards to snowfall for as long as I can remember. Usually when people visit Moscow in the wintertime, and especially during the Christmas and New Year Holidays, there are two things you are bound to see loads of in their Instagram feed: winter decorations and SNOW. Lots of both!
While there are more bright and stunning decorations all across Moscow this year than any year before, there simply hasn't been any significant snowfall. While I personally prefer a warmer winter, there's something very strange to seeing this city, which is often referred to as a winter wonderland in December and January, completely devoid of the fluffy flakes that make winter worth bearing.
Under the assumption that all of this is just a weather anomaly, I decided to take the opportunity to capture these rare shots of Russian Capital, so you can see Winter Moscow - all decorated in Festive Lights and Ornaments for the New Year - from a unique new perspective!
I've become a bit addicted to time lapse photography and video, so there are quite a few clips in this video of the city and its residents living and breathing, condensed within the span of a few seconds. Capturing all the most beautiful locations in Moscow would be a daunting (and rather subjective) task, so instead I've opted to scout the locations that I personally like to visit the Most.
Among the Spots you'll see depicted in the timelapses, aerials and walking shots are, in no particular order:
1.) The Kremlin (obviously)
2.) The Bolshoi Theater
3.) Kievskiy Vokzal
4.) Moscow City Business and Commerce Center
5.) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs
6.) Metro Bridge (Metromost)
7.) Arbat Highway
8.) Ukraine Hotel (Radisson) and White House
9.) The Moscow River and its embankment
10.) Red Square
11.) GUM and TSUM Malls
12.) Saint Baisils Cathedral
13.) MKAD (Moscow Ring) Highway
14.) Moscow State University (MGU)
15.) Manezhnaya Square (and Four Seasons Hotel)
16.) Zaryadye Park
17.) Lubyanka Square
18.) Evropeyskiy and Vegas Kuntsevo Shopping Malls
19.) Kutuzovsky Avenue
20.) Lots of side-streets and LED lights :)
Thank you very much for taking the time to watch! And most importantly - Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! May 2020 bring you prosperity!
If you enjoyed the video, it would be great if you'd subscribe for more! Also, I'd love to hear your ideas on what you'd like to see me film in Russia, or otherwise!
