IL MACELLAIO comes out from the cd-rom the Slicer ( Tangible Interface Laboratory - Bauhaus Universitaet Weimar ) We are always on the mix dimension, but this time industrial machines are used as musical instruments: that give the techno-noise time to the food instruments, placed in a tecno-industrial werkstatte kitchen. The concept is related to the cyber-gastronomy experience. The cd-rom is a folkloristic project about one optical machine that makes lens for glass in a factory at Dusseldorf. The cd-rom sounds like a joke to this firma, because they spent a lot of money for the design of this machine, (made by Porsche), The optical-machine seems to be like a comical coffeepot, that leeds to an ugly design. Those things maked us laugh, afterward we seriously thought to project for the laboratory course a Slicer Machine for the ham cutting, inspirated from the rude and violent behaviour of a butcher.

Born in Italy in 1981, as soon as he started taking pictures he fell in love with long exposures of seascapes. For him a long exposure is a parallel universe in which to escape from the frenzy of modern life. His passion for the sea and for travels let him to visit some of the most iconic locations on this planet looking at them with different eyes. While continuing to travel in search of new landscapes to be photographed, he now lives and works in Milan where he collaborates with companies, sites and magazines for the diffusion of photographic culture in Italy and in the world.

Music Collective born during the dawn of the '90s, The True Underground Sound of Rome, through his London based label Vibraphone Records, has interpreted the native House verb of Chicago & Detroit according to a vision steeped in electronics destined then to mark history. Seven vinyl in which is contained all the visionary approach of these Romans producers and DJ’s able to create angelic melodies and rhythms that can penetrate the soul of all listeners.
The True Underground Sound Of Rome are:
STEFANO DI CARLO - One of the most appreciated producers and Djs in Rome, he collaborated with Giorgio Moroder, Gigi D'Agostino, Kenny Carpenter and Victor Simonelli, just to name a few.
STEFANO CURTI - Music producer and multi-instrumentalist since the end of 70s, active in punk and electronic scene in Rome and London and manager of the cult independent video distribution label RAROVIDEO USA
MAURO TANNINO - One of the first Djs to play and produce Chicago, Detroit and Techno in Rome, sadly passed away in 2000 for a parashooting accident
MAURO RUVOLO - Eclectic artist, music producer, guitar player, appreciated video editor and filmmaker, manager of SCREEN LAB, video production and editing studio in Rome
The original recording are now considered rare collector items and sought after pearls and they have raised the level of attention around these obscure artists which are now returning to the scene after a long pause.
Revitalized by an increasingly new young audience interest this label has reached a cult status and it is now been re-launched via Juno Records.
Vibraphone Records and The True Underground Sound of Rome are now coming back with their first reissue of the mythological The Bermuda Triangle” EP a 2 X 12”EP containing the analog re-mastered version of the original 6 tracks first released in 1992 plus 2 new bonus tracks.
Nick Anthony Simoncino is an Italian producer, Deejay and collector of vinyl for over eleven years and boasts a collection of over 10.000 vinyl records, mainly Chicago House, Techno Detroit and Garage 80's.
Inspired by the sound of vintage synths and drum machines, he started to utilise them in his productions, debuting on Mathematics Records in 2009.
He works regulary for labels such as: Creme Organization, L.I.E.S. ,Mathematics, Echovolt, Traveller, Thug, and many others. And has been remixed by legends such as Larry Heard, Chez Damier, Virgo Four, Gene Hunt, Ron Trent, Dream 2 Science. He has also worked with Legowelt, Robert Owens, Mark Rogers, Julian Jonah, Boyd Jarvis to name a few.
In 2011 he founded his own Vinyl only label called HotMix Records and one sub label in 2012 called Hot Island Records and still finds the time to release two albums and more than 20 EP's in a few years and is currently working on some major projects and several collaborations. This is his first collaboration with Vibraphone Records.

É o início dos anos 90, o consciente coletivo do mundo ainda está fixado em produção em massa para alimentar o consumo em massa. Consciência ecológica ainda era coisa de poucos, vistos pelos demais como fanáticos.
Neste cenário consciencial, três personagens se encontram: uma física afastada do trabalho, por conflitos éticos, vivida pela maravilhosa Liv Ullman; um candidato a presidência dos EUA derrotado nas eleições (Sam Waterston) e um poeta que acabou de viver uma decepção amorosa (John Heard).
Já o cenário físico é uma ilha na costa de França chamada Mont Saint Michel, com seu castelo medieval e campos que aparecem e desaparecem pelo movimento das marés, quase sempre encobertos por brumas.
No roteiro, nenhum grande romance, ação ou suspense, apenas conversas sobre ideias que se hoje em dia não são mais novidades, na época eram revolucionárias.
Baseado no livro homônimo de Fritjof Capra e brilhantemente traduzido para o cinema pelo diretor Bernt Capra (irmão do escritor).

Based on the book The turning point by Fritjof Capra.
It´s the beginning of the 90´s, the world collective consciousness is still focused in mass production to feed the mass consumption. Ecological consciousness was still for a few, seen by others as fanatics.
In the middle of that consciousness scenario three characters meet: a physicist away from her job due to ethical conflicts, played by the wonderful Liv Ullman, a U.S. presidential candidate beaten in the last elections (Sam Waterson) and a poet, who has just gone through a love disappointment (John Heard).
Along the script no great romantic story, just conversations about ideas which are not new today, but at the time were quite revolutionary. Based on Fritjof Capra novel and brilliantly translated to a movie by director Bernt Capra (Fritjof's brother).
We watch a scientist presenting her holistic vision and what she could do for the world to both, the politician and the poet.
This is a film to watch again and again, specially in the present days, when we are moving into a more ecological consciousness.
