Radon is a harmful, radioactive gas that is found in homes and businesses in the United States. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sites it as a leading cause of lung cancer. The gas occurs naturally in the ground and can seep into buildings. New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation specializes in testing methods that identify its presence and in effective removal. Radon has no color and no odor, making it difficult to identify without the assistance of New Haven, Connecticut Radon Mitigation. The EPA states that radon is in the rock and soil that underlies all areas of the United States. As it escapes from the ground, it can seep into homes or buildings that are above an affected area.
It is thought that radon results from the breakdown of uranium into radium. Professional New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation can test for the presence of the gas. Radon is everywhere and home or business owners need New Haven CT Radon Mitigation to determine the level of concentration. In buildings where the levels are too high, professional New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation can reduce them to acceptable levels. Air pressure in a building is lower than pressure in the ground, creating a vacuum-like suction that brings the gas inside through defects in foundations that New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation fix. The association between radon and lung cancer makes it important for owners of buildings to rely on New Haven, Connecticut Radon Mitigation for safe air quality.
The EPA indicates that radon can enter a home through a water supply, but New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation know that the soil method is the more common form of entry. New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation knows how to detect radon in a building and how to assess the level of concentration. New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation find levels of radon in homes and buildings that is more than three times as high as radon levels in the outdoor air. Through study and practice, New Haven, Connecticut Radon Mitigation is able to provide effective methods to reduce concentrations that are excessive. Anyone who suspects the presence of radon needs to select one of the qualified New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation specialists to test for it.
Professional inspectors who are accustomed to working with radon identification provide the most reliable information for concerned citizens. Home test kits are available, but the danger that is posed by misleading information makes it important to rely on one of the qualified New Haven, CT Radon Mitigation technicians for accurate readings. Techniques for reducing or eliminating radon often involve the placement of one or more suction points below the level of the foundation of a building. Additional methods that provide a way for gases to escape are used by New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation.
A pipe that extends above the roof of a building allows gases to bypass the interior living space. New Haven Connecticut Radon Mitigation performs extensive research to develop the most effective techniques that provide services that are helpful to home and business owners. The discovery of radon in a home or business building is often a matter of great concern, but owners can rely on professional New Haven CT Radon Mitigation to provide a satisfactory solution to the problem. The presence of radon does not represent a permanent condition with the expert assistance provided by New Haven, Connecticut Radon Mitigation. Call them today at (203) 846-5906.
HAUNTED & ABANDONED: Fairfield Hills PART 1 (Found Underground Tunnels)
High View Productions and its crew travel to an abandoned mental hospital named Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown, Connecticut. Fairfield Hills was one of the biggest state run hospitals at one time until it closed in 1995 due to lack of funds. When it opened in 1931 the psychiatric hospital used methods of hydrotherapy, lobotomies, shock therapy and many other ways to help mentally ill patients. At the peak of its time Fairfield Hills held over 4,000 patients. This video will show you outside footage and inside footage of the grounds. The buildings that have House on them is where they would hold the patients in a jail like setting. The buildings that have Hall on them is where patients would have activities or where employees would be stationed. We found underground tunnels which would connect each building to one another. We travel into Cochran House, which held patients, and we got into Plymouth Hall. We DO NOT go inside these places to do harm, we do it to see the past and explore history.

Castle For Sale in Michigan, USA
STEP INTO THE CASTLE AND step back in time to a home modeled after a fifth-century castle built near Nuremberg, Germany. The Castle was crafted during the 1920s in Jackson, Michigan, by the eccentric violinist Max Helmer. Helmer was the local Liberace of his day, a wealthy musician who inherited a large estate from his father, a prominent Jackson banker, Fred Helmer. Helmer fell in love with medieval structures while touring Europe in the 1920s as a concert violinist. The Castle was designed for seclusion, but enjoys beautiful views on one of the most elevated points in the area.
Builder C.J. Jorgensen crafted the tower using fieldstone from the surrounding region. More than 500 tons of rock and 300 barrels of cement were used to build the first five floors. Jorgensen used horses, nine helpers and a crane. The tower walls are 3-feet-wide at the base, and are tapered to the top. Beneath the structure is a customary castle feature, a dungeon, entered through a trap door on the first floor. The Castle has been renovated to seamlessly conjoin the old and the new, the pinnacle of which is the 3-story addition completed in 1942. This project added a great room, master suite, family room, and modernized kitchen to the property; thus, bringing the home in line with contemporary living while maintaining its historical charm.
A History of Family, Friends, Adventure and Escape: When the, then newlywed, current owners decided to move from the Detroit area to a more peaceful, slowpaced location to raise a young family - their wildest dreams couldn’t have prepared them for what they discovered.
The Castle they found hidden on the highest point of Jackson County in Lower Michigan (National
Geological Survey Market on-site) proved to transform both the place and their family in an almost magical
way. The unique setting in which to raise a family and the inherent responsibility to continue the fascinating
history of the property, proved to be a bonding experience and the quest of a lifetime for the current owners.
Early years at the Castle for this family were spent together pruning, clearing and landscaping the grounds for
year-round fun outdoors. Undertaking countless renovations and restorations, which transformed the property
from the original medieval vision of the eccentric Max Helmer into what is now a truly unique modern
home.

The Connecticut killer who once called himself one of the most hated men in America said in a death
HEADLINE: AP: Killer of 3 tries not to think about murders
CAPTION: A Connecticut man convicted in a deadly 2007 home invasion says he tries not to think about the crime and has nothing to say to the man whose wife and two daughters were killed. (May 15)
[SOT/] John Christoffersen/Associated Press:
I interviewed Joshua Komisarjevsky yesterday at northern correctional institute which is in somers, connecticut near the massachusetts line. Komisarjevsky and stephen hayes were convicted of these home invasion killings - it was a crime in 2007 in the town of cheshire, which is a suburb of new haven. They were convicted of killing a woman and her 2 young daughters during a home invasion.// I just wrote to mister komisarjevsky directly and asked if I could interview him and he agreed to it.// the first thing you notice, because I covered the trial, is you notice he's noticeably heavier. He actually said that he's about 30-40 pounds heavier so he put on quite a bit of weight. other than that, he looked pretty much the same. He had basically a crew cut and a little bit of razor stubble but other than that, he looked pretty much the same.//connecticut actually abolished the death penalty this year, the governor signed a bill to abolish it but it's only for future cases. So the men on death row, including komisarjevsky and his co-defendant stephen hayes were not affected by that decision. So I had him about that, basically I asked connecticut has only put one person to death in the last 50 years that was serial killer michael ross in 2005. So I asked him did he think he'd ever actually be executed and he said basically he only thought he'd be executed if he volunteered. I asked komisarjevsky if he would consider volunteering and he said on his worst days he would consider it//i asked him about remorse and whether he'd suffered any nightmares, he said no. As far as remorse, the way he answered it is I guess my reaction is the not the way that society expected. And then he went on to talk about, like everyone else he has to look in the mirror. Something to that affect.
