Rajasthan tourism promotes the unity and essence of Rajasthan through cultural programs
Rajasthan is a state of cultural heritage and traditions in India. The soil of Rajasthan is imbibed with the essence of complete India, unity and the smell of love. In the past few days, Rajasthan tourism sector tried to bring out this essence of Rajasthan through the cultural and traditional programmes of India. In this programme, every sector participated with equal and great enthusiasm.
Rajasthan is a northern Indian state bordering Pakistan. Its palaces and forts are reminders of the many kingdoms that historically vied for the region. In its capital, Jaipur (the Pink City), is the 18th-century City Palace and Hawa Mahal, a former cloister for royal women, fronted by a 5-story pink-sandstone screen. Amer Fort, atop a nearby hill, was built by a Rajput prince in the early 1600s.

Jaipur Tour in Rajasthan, India
This is a vlog about tour and travel in Jaipur (जयपुर), Rajasthan (राजस्थान). I've taken the Rajasthan State Tourism Agency tour and while the itinerary was good there were things lacking. Anyway, all in all in was a good experience. The tour includes Birla Mandir, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace or हवा महल in Hindi) and a few other touristic attractions in Jaipur.

Special Rajasthan, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Shreenathji Tour 2019
Wander through the Royal Ruins! Rajasthan is the life of India, essence of our country. The colorful, lively and traditional state of India has rich culture and history. Rajasthan has more history than the rest of India put together. There is a reason it’s called the “Land of Kings”, it is indeed a fabulous realm of maharajas and their majestic forts and lavish palaces. It has a romantic past which reminds us of heroism, honor and chivalry. Legend says that Rajasthan is home to Rajputs who have ruled Rajasthan for 1000 years and the fascinating part is that they claim to have originated from the sun, moon and fire.

...I got a Paan (betel leaf with areca nut and a number of spices and mild sweet), really good, can’t miss a Paan after dinner when in India. It is a good digestive, apart from mouth freshener and its unique taste. We also bought ‘chooran’ golis (digestive powders rolled into 5-10mm diameter balls), 250 grams each of Hing (asafetida) and Anar (pomegranate) Golis for Rs. 50/- each.
The chooran is one of the better known things of Rajasthan, in addition to the jewelry, hardwood carved furniture, clothes in rustic colors and cloth, printed and filled cotton razais (quilts), bedsheets and curtains, all the things found in their palaces and forts and those too.

The street for Kababs and other non-vegetarian food is MI Road, and there are a few well known dhabas on that street, the most famous being Handi at one end of the street. We had malai tikka (chicken grilled in cream) and tandoori aloo paratha at a dhaba in a lane across the street from Handi. The dishes were both excellent. The best came earlier in the form of carrot, beetroot, tomato, spinach, amla (Indian gooseberry), ginger, lemon and apple mixed juice for Rs.15/- at the same street corner. Then we had a large vegetable salad from a Rehri Walla (vendor selling from a cart), the freshest muli (white radish), gajar (carrot), kheera (cucumber), tomato dressed with lemon juice for Rs.20/-, amazing. Later the wife spotted lassi (sweet yoghurt drink) further on MI road Rs.30/- for a small and Rs.50/- for a large lassi in a kulhar (earthen terracotta disposable clay cup without handle, paint or glazing inherently sterile and hygienic as they are fired in a kiln and never re-used). This is another specialty of Jaipur, the sweet lassi. We also tried the famous ‘Lal Maas’ (mutton in red chili curry) in the evening, and again at other places in Jaipur but did not like the preparation at any of the places, they have lost the essence of their own specialty.
The view from the top floor of Hawa Mahal was the highlight of the day. A 360° view of the city and the sunset, it was wonderful.
Dinner was chicken Seekh Kabab (minced meat rolled over and grilled on skewers) at a restaurant called the ‘Old Take Away’, excellent Seekh. Then an equally wonderful Muli Tandoori Paratha, big lassi and carrot mixed juice from across the street, all on our now favorite MI Road. We soon realized that there many ‘Old Take Away’ on MI Road, 3 next to each other and small places with no seating, on the same side as Handi, one of which being the one we had our Seekh Kabab. We found another large ‘Old Take Away’ on the opposite side which had a lot of seating. Earlier we had eaten ‘Malai Tikkas’ at the ‘Old Green Tandoor’ Dhaba in the gali by the juice stall. Having tasted barbeque at all these places we recommend the ‘Old Green Tandoor’ malai tikka as the best, but stick to barbeque and stay away from the curries. The chicken Seekh was good too, we repeated this on another day, and both of us enjoyed it thoroughly Rs.130/-, juice Rs.15/-, lassi Rs.50/-, and paratha Rs.55/-, total dinner for 2, Rs.250/-.
