This video was filmed for Amigo surf school based in Arugam Bay in Sri Lanka. This place is a paradise for surfers from around the world. There are six main surf spots for surfers of different levels. Arugam Bay is 8 hours away from the International Airport of Colombo. When you are traveling from Colombo to Arugam Bay you can see great views of local nature and have a nice sleep after a long flight.
In this video you can watch a surf spot called Elefant Rock. Elefant Rock is a perfect surf spot for elementary level surfers

Arugam Bay is the surfing paradise of Sri Lanka! It has a great beach, waves of all sizes and offers a decent nightlife so there's a party every night. We spend a few days in the nearby Pottuvil and got into a lot of unexpected situations!

Spent a week in September 2018 with the family in Arugam Bay. Here are some of the footage from the surf and the wildlife..
The surf was a bit small, and because of that very crowded at the main point.. but still is an amazing place to be.
The Kumana National Park is definitely a place to visit.. we were lucky to spot Elephants and Crocs among the other many creatures.

Its surfing season in Arugam Bay right now, with so many surfers and party people headed over to the east coast.
But we decided to take a look at Arugam Bay during 'Off Season' and see what the east coast has to offer. And it was absolutely breathtaking!
Note:
- We could not surf. The sea was too rough and no places to rent boards.
- Accommodation choices can be limited with most hotels closed during the off season.
- Food options are also limited during this period.
- Moving around can be difficult if you don't have your own vehicle.
Other than that, WE LOVED IT!!!

Hello World, Happy to see you again via MC Waves. We are heading to Arugam Bay, located in the Eastern part of Sri Lanka which attracts both local and foreign tourist, contributing significantly to the tourism industry of the island. We are going to explore the special features of Arugam Bay, Pottuvil in this episode and upcoming episodes.
Arugam Bay is Known as the surfing paradise and popular for water sports. Arugam Bay is the best surfing spot in Asia and one of the top ten surfing spots in the world. The surfing season in Arugam Bay begins in March and continues till the end October each year. Peak season comes from July to August. These months are blessed with sky scrapper waves which is delightful for the hard core surfers. We are happy to showcase three flavors lotus leaf lunch, surfing and city tour in this episode and wait for upcoming episodes for more coverage.
