El Salvador Exploring Suchitoto (2019) | Backpacking El Salvador Travel Series
Suchitoto is a wonderful picturesque town in El Salvador. As we continue our El Salvador backpacking series we explore Suchitoto a town filled with colourful building and has a lovely square over looked by the main Church.
We sample some local foods and try some Salvadorian coffee. El Salvador is known for having some of the best coffee and we'd had to agree.
Whilst travelling we heard lot of people saying El Salvador is dangerous or asking us is El Salvador safe? Well from our personal experience we didn't feel in any danger during our time in El Salvador.
In the next episode we explore the surrounding area.

El Boqueron SAN SALVADOR (2019) | El Salvador Travel Series
Located a short drive from El Salvador's capital San Salvador if the El Boqueron National Park and volcano crater. This volcano is only about 20 minutes journey from the city and gives you some of the best aerial views of San Salvador.
We were lucky to meet up with Edwin and his team from EC Tours. Based in San Salvador we did a free walking tour with them when we were in El Salvador about 6 weeks ago. If you are in San Salvador then we would really recommend the free walking tour, fun and varied it's the best one we have done so far.
We were also lucky to have the opportunity to be interviewed for Dario Digital Cronio - a local online newspaper who were curious about our travels and why we LOVE El Salvador so much.
If you are backpacking around Central America then don't skip El Salvador - it is one of the most relaxed and friendly countries in Central America and we were so lucky to have 3 weeks exploring this wonderful country.

Nos fuimos nuevamente a recorrer las 3 plazas de el centro de san salvador, iniciando en la plaza libertad mostrando el ambiente que hay en las noches y seguimos por la plaza gerardo barrios mostrando todavia el ambiente navideño que ya paso. Y seguimos en la plaza morazan, seguimos en el parque vial y mostramos todo el ambiente que hay en una tarde de sabado todo el ambiente de las personas que visitan las 3 plazas y finalizando en la plaza libertad.

The village of Panchimalco is a short drive south of El Salvador's capital San Salvador. If you visit San Salvador you must take a trip to this wonderful village. Panchimalco is a colourful village filled with art and statues and is very picturesque.
Panchimalco is home to one of El Salvador's most famous artists - Miguel Angel Ramirez and we had the opportunity to visit him and have a guided tour of his house and studio

Panchimalco is a must if you head to San Salvador and we had a fabulous time walking around and trying some street food. On the way home we stopped off at Abbi Pupuseria which is known to be the best place to eat Pupusas (El Salvadors national dish) in the San Salvador area.

SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go visit the magnificent Teatro Nacional de El Salvador (or National Theatre of El Salvador) which is the oldest theatre in Central America. It began construction on November 3, 1911, by the French architect Daniel Beylard; and inaugurated March 1, 1917. It is of French Renaissance style with modern touches. It was decorated by the Italian architect Lucio Capellaro, and its Great Hall is one of the most beautiful and elegant in Central America.
We will get a chance to view the El Salvador Symphony Orchestra (Orquesta Sinfónica de El Salvador; OSES) practicing for a concert; it is the national symphony orchestra of El Salvador. Founded in 1922, by Paul Müller, it is one of Central America's oldest orchestras.
El Salvador is a small Central American nation. It's known for its Pacific Ocean beaches, surf spots and mountainous landscape. Its Ruta de Las Flores is a winding route past coffee farms, rainforests with waterfalls and towns like Juayúa, with its weekend food festival, plus Ataco, home to vivid murals. The capital, San Salvador, with a dramatic backdrop of volcanoes, has numerous museums and the National Theater.

San Salvador Travel Guide - Welcome to El Salvador | 90+ Countries with 3 Kids
Welcome to San Salvador, the capital and the most populous city of El Salvador!
Being the country's political and cultural center, it takes up one-third of El Salvador's population and one-half of the country's wealth. The majority of the country‘s corporations are located in the city and that being said, it is a very important financial hub of Central America. With its wide boulevards and narrow streets, roadside stalls, churches, museums, exciting nightlife, it can be described as a modern and hectic city.
All year round, the weather is hot, being around 27 °C, and the coolest period of about 22.2 °C lasts from November to February. Except for its weather, San Salvador is also praised for its perfect location. It has proximity to both the ocean and mountains.
We stayed at María José Suites which was in a really really nice location. It is close to the San Salvador Bicentennial Park and the nearest airport.
El Salvador has a reputation for being dangerous. We felt safe the whole time we were there. We took Uber to get around and visited all the highlights in the downtown area of San Salvador.

Things to See and Do in El Salvador and Best Places to Travel in El Salvador:
The crowded capital of San Salvador hasn't historically drawn much in the way of travelers. The city is also central to many of El Salvador's attractions, like the beaches and San Salvador volcano.
Nearby Santa Ana is much more attractive, surrounded by coffee plantations and sugarcane fields—travel to the Mayan ruin of Tazumal, the erstwhile setting of human sacrifice! Two hours north, La Palma offers cool weather and beautiful views.
Because El Salvador is so small, travelers are never far from the country’s Pacific beaches. The water is over eighty degrees on average, the wave breaks are perfect, and the sands are rarely crowded. No wonder surfers flock to El Salvador’s beaches all year long—the favorites are La Libertad, Las Flores, and Playa Herradura. The beaches of Costa del Sol and San Juan del Gozo are better for non-surfers, boasting soft white sands and calmer waters.
The Montecristo National Park is a mysterious and beautiful cloud forest, located in the exact spot where the borders of Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador come together.
The El Imposible National Park is another lovely natural destination—follow the 9km trek to the high point, Cerro Leon, for some unforgettable vistas of still-smoking volcanoes.
