Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food, or to buy groceries and fruit while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all around Thailand, and heaps around Phuket. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it for 3 years in Thailand and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!
The markets in Thailand are a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at a Thai market is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.

THE BEST MARKET IN PHUKET
Best Market in Phuket :
A sunday spent at the walking market in Phuket Old Town.
Great atmosphere and huge variety of foods and items. Definitely the most cosy market we've been to yet here in Phuket.
Phuket offers a wide selection of different types of markets- know them before you go and save yourself a lot of hassle!
This one is probably the most cosy one! At night it get really cramped- but not to the degree the bigger markets do.
Make sure to have an empty belly when you go here- because temptations are all over the place and you wouldn't want to miss out on delicious food from this place!!
Leave a comment if you have some feedback- its greatly appreciated!

Or Tor Kor Market
101 ถนน ย่านพหลโยธิน Khwaeng Chatuchak, Khet Chatuchak, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10900, Thailand
Snacks and Thai sweets are also plentiful, whether the traditional kind or modern varieties, such as kanom krok (grilled coconut pancakes), sticky rice sweets, steamed palm sugar desserts, kanom bueng (coconut crepes), and many more. Ready-to-eat meals come in all varieties, types and servings. Steamed fish curry custard, som tam, chili pastes, chili dips, fresh herbs and spices, green curry, red curry, vegetables stir-fried dishes, deep-fried fish, and grilled prawns are all available at Or Tor Kor Market. Other highlights include ready-cut and custom-cut meats, seafood, fresh mackerel (plaa too), dried meats and the various condiments used in Thai cooking. There is also a small food court selling delicious Thai food, including braised duck noodles, fried oyster pancakes, pad thai and various noodle soups, although at a slightly higher price than most other places. Adjacent to the market, the Doi Kham shop features organic vegetables, spa products and other dry grocery items from the Royal Project.
MBK Mall
444 Phayathai Rd, Khwaeng Wang Mai, Khet Pathum Wan, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10330, Thailand
MBK Center is probably Bangkok's most legendary shopping mall, popular with both tourists and locals, and busy with shoppers every day. There are eight floors packed with 2,000 shops that sell everything from clothing, fashion accessories, handbags, leather products and luggage to furniture, mobile phones, electric appliances, cameras, stationery and DVDs. Launched in 1986, MBK Center is a beehive of activity, especially on weekends, when half of Bangkok converges to shop for bargains. It's not as up-market or stylish as neighbouring Siam Discovery, Siam Centre and the glitzy Siam Paragon, but it offers a mind-boggling range of goods spread over 89,000 square metres and is considerably less expensive.
Festival Of Lights At Siam Discovery Centre
989 Rama I Rd, Khwaeng Pathum Wan, Khet Pathum Wan, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon 10330, Thailand
Located at the heart of Bangkok, this comes in as no surprise for expats to indulge in their most expensive squid and prawn. Squid alone cost 300 THB! Holy mackerels! But it was a good experience overall as it have nice ambience for you to chill!
