Rachel, Nevada, on Extraterrestrial Highway Panoramic View
Extraterrestrial Highway, NV-375, runs between NV-318 at the ghost town of Crystal Springs in the south and US-6 at the ghost town of Warm Springs in the north, along the northeast edge of the Nellis Air Force Range, with frequent UFO sightings.
The small town of Rachel is about midway on the highway.
The Little A'Le'Inn can be seen shortly after the video pans counter-clockwise. About 3/4 way through video, Worthington Mountains Wilderness can be seen pass NV-375.
Extraterrestrial Highway, The Black Mailbox & Rachel Nevada - April & Joe ON THE GO #4
Joe and I visited Rachel Nevada. Rachel is home to just 50 residents, is the closest to the Back Gate of Area 51, and is in the center of Extraterrestrial Highway. We also checked out the infamous Black Mailbox and a few more stops along the way.

Nevada's Extraterrestrial Highway! Route 375, Northbound Dashcam
You'll feel like you're driving across another planet as you set out onto Nevada 375 -- the Extraterrestrial Highway. It's the closest you can (legally) get to infamous Area 51, home of aliens and wrecked spacecraft and all sorts of out-of-this-world technology. But, you won't actually see much along the road. This drive takes you from Crystal Springs to Warm Springs, via the community of Rachel, with a handful of E.T.-related places to stop along the way.

I made this trip in June 2018. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

HAWAII mark on the Extraterrestrial Highway, Rachel NV
On the first Extraterrestrial Highway sign (there are 3) we didn't see anything from Hawaii so we took a sticker off of a candy wrapper for Ling Hing Mui candy and pasted it on the sign. Josh was able to get up with the help of dad Chuck and made history!

Las Vegas Side Trip: Extraterrestrial Highway & Little A'LE'INN
If you are interested in UFO and aliens, consider this side trip. The Nevada State Route 375 was officially named Extraterrestrial Highway in 1996, because of reported UFO sightings and other strange phenomena. The highway runs through Rachel, NV which became a tourist attraction, catering to tourists and UFO seekers. The bar and motel LITTLE A'LE'INN attracts some visitors and guests with its whimsical alien theme.

„Storm Area 51“ | Extraterrestrial Highway - Groom Lake (Nevada)
Groom Lake is a salt flat in Nevada used for runways of the Nellis Bombing Range Test Site airport (KXTA) on the north of the Area 51 USAF military installation. The lake at 4,409 ft (1,344 m)elevation is approximately 3.7 miles (6.0 km) from north to south and 3 miles (4.8 km) from east to west at its widest point. Located within the namesake Groom Lake Valley portion of the Tonopah Basin, the lake is 25 mi (40 km) south of Rachel, Nevada.
When Travel Nevada approached me about tackling a short road trip in the state, there was one famous stretch of road that immediately sprang to mind – the Extraterrestrial Highway. At first, a 98-mile drive may not sound all that impressive, until you learn exactly what the Extraterrestrial Highway is all about. Driving this now-iconic route through the Nevada desert is about so much more than some nice scenery; it’s about journeying into one of the centers of quirky Americana. Yes, a belief in alien life is at the heart of the experience, but so are the people who live and work along the highway, adding their own eccentric personalities to the patchwork quilt of the drive. Traveling along the Extraterrestrial Highway was one of the best travel experiences I’ve enjoyed in a long time, so I thought I’d provide this mini-guide to the road itself, how to drive it, what to see and do and what it means.

in Lincoln County, Nevada, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 54. As the closest habitation to the Nellis Air Force Range and Area 51, This area enjoys a modest celebrity, particularly among aviation enthusiasts and UFO hunters. North of the town is the Quinn Canyon Range, which has the ghost town of Adaven.
The lil AleInn is a hokey (alien themed) motel... as if you can’t tell.. yes a motel/gift shop and restaurant along the Extra Terrestrial Highway in Nevada. It boasts an old tow truck hauling in a UFO out front and not so bad diner type food on the inside... along with everything alien related. Make sure you have a full tank of gas for gas stations are very, VERY few and far between.. and don’t think you’re calling anyone no matter who your carrier is because you won’t have cell service. Theres so much more in Nevada away from the Vegas Strip... go see them. Thanks for tuning in and Until next time.
