Fontainhas-The Splash of Colors - HD Vlog Panjim Goa India
Let me take you to this colorful journey of Fontainhas Panjim Goa which is also called as Small chunk of Portugal washed up on the shores of the Indian Ocean. The colorful and Unique Portuguese style of architecture is surely going to leave you awe-strucked. Its like walking through entire giant Crayon set.

Panjim Heritage Walk Through the Streets of Fontainhas
The capital of Goa moved to Panjim or Panaji when a plague hit the old capital, now called Old Goa. Below the Altinho hill, came up the colorful houses, not by design but by an order that did not permit white color for houses. White was reserved for the churches and as you see in this video the tradition continues till date.
The narrow roads go through small cafes, homes with oyster shell windows, colorful wells, curio shops, staircases that take you up the hill & art galleries that showcase the local artists. You pass by churches, can climb up the hill to visit the Maruti temple and see the underground fountains. If you are lucky you can see the people playing music or singing.
Panjim Heritage Walk is a light, easy walk that anyone can take. There are always cafes and art galleries to stop by.

Goa vlog series | Day 3 | Panjim | Fontainhas
Hey Guys !
I am in Panjim, Capital of Goa and today I bring to you the beautiful Portuguese Colony known as Fontainhas.
The unique feature of this place is the fine architecture which is influenced by the Portuguese style. The architecture of the buildings here are not like any place that I have been before.
The colors are magnificent and as a tradition they color their houses every year which keeps the whole colony so vibrant.
I also mentioned about a Cafe here on the video. It is called Bombay Coffee Roasters. If you are planning to stay in Panjim you can stay at that place. It is very beautiful and cozy space.

Fontainhas, the old Latin Quarter in Panjim, Goa - in 4K
Fontainhas (or Bairro das Fontainhas, in Portuguese) is an old Latin Quarter in Panjim, capital city of the state of Goa, India. It maintains its Portuguese influence, particularly through its architecture, which includes narrow and picturesque winding streets like those found in many European cities, old villas and buildings with projecting balconies painted in the traditional tones of pale yellow, green, or blue, and roofs made of red coloured tiles. Fontainhas' heritage ambience represents the traditional Portuguese influence in the area.

Panaji, also known in English as Panjim, is the capital city of the tiny state of goa in India . It has its own charm, a river flowing along one side of the city, some areas which are low-rise and red-roofed, and even a Latin Quarter at the eastern end of town. Increasingly, it is shaping itself as a centre where cultures (many from across the globe, and from diverse areas of India too) meet and creativity flourishes.
